      @@paulmolles4445 Yoga is integral part of Hindu Scriptures. Various scriptures of "Hindu religion" talk about Yoga clearly. The oldest texts like Vedas and Upanishads (and even many other later texts like Gita, Puranas, Dharma Smritis) mention Yoga and its concept, practices, processes. So I don't see on what grounds you say Yoga or Yogis are not Hindu. This religious vs spiritual/meditation divide maybe valid in other Abrahimic religions where they claim Yoga and Meditation to be devilish etc. and one person or thought-process to be the sole way to Heavens, it's not so in Hinduism or any of the Indic/Dharmic religions. In Indic faith or religions, Spirituality, Meditation, Yoga etc. is the foundation, integral and underlying essence. If you read almost any text of Hinduism, you'll find mention of Yoga or meditation clearly. Even in Yoga and Meditation, there are various rules, disciplines and restrictions to be adhered to. People can very much label all that set of practices, rules and disciplines as "religious" by the very definition of religion. It's a systematic and precise science and people can't do it in any other random way they like and get success. They have to strictly take care of their diet, lifestyle and thought-process all the time and follow the scriptural guidelines or the words of the Guru. Also in many traditional and ancient yogic texts, it's clearly mentioned that Yoga was revealed by Hindu Gods only (Lord Shiva mainly, sometimes Krishna and so on). Now, yes it's true that Yoga is universal practice and not confined to Hindu faith and practioners and anyone irrespective of their religious background can follow it, but it's nevertheless very much Hindu. The science although universal, originated/discovered first in India and spread everywhere else. And I understand the enlightened beings, yogis etc. are not confined or limited to religion, yet it's not wrong or incorrect in any way, to mention the religious background or culture where they came from and whose practices they followed to gain illumination. Another example, just because cricket is/can be played all over the world by everyone, it's not wrong or incorrect to say it was discovered by the British people or that it's an English/British sport. 🙏🏻

    Thank you so so much for this, this is very valuable knowledge. What do you do apart from concentrating on the 3rd eye? What about if thoughts about other things arise?

    • @HinduismAsItIs

      Ignore the thoughts, recollect your attention and bring the attention back to the space between the eyebrows. If you sway too much away from what's mentioned, you may not get the same results. So would suggest to adhere to the method to as much extent as possible. Rest is upto you, if you wish to try other ways or visualizations, your choice, but then the mentioned result that the video is talking about, may not be attained.

    Great video for beginners.😇🙏
    Thank you very much for that 🙏🌺
    But how to fix the gaze at the eyebrow center? It's relatively easy to fix the gaze and concentrate at the tip of the nose(ik not that easy,it needs practice obviously). And is that related to Ajna chakra and kundalini awakening?🤔

    • @HinduismAsItIs
      @HinduismAsItIs  Před 11 měsíci

      Glad you liked the video! 😇
      Gaze can be kept at the eyebrow center like how you would have kept at the nose tip. Some suggest it can be done with closed eyes too. You may practice gaze at the nose tip if that's more comfortable. Discomfort maybe there at first (either while focusing on the eyebrow center or nose tip) due to lack of practice but it will be fine soon and the practitioner will become habitual of it.
      And yes, it's related to Ajna Chakra and Kundalini could awaken as a consequence of this practice (but it also depends on various things like how well you practice, the diet, lifestyle, brahmacharya and many other things). However it's just one form of yogic meditation. I will be posting other forms of beginner meditations as explained by other sages as well.

    • @dikshapandey6118

    Can I do THIS by my own sir?? Is this one risky too??

    • @HinduismAsItIs
      @HinduismAsItIs  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Well, you may try this one. It's a much simpler practice than Kriya Yoga. Always remember your God/Ishta Deva/Devi before starting the meditation and seek their blessings. Simply sitting with an erect spine and focusing on the space between the eyebrows, with half or completely closed eyes, should be fine.
      In fact, a much safer practice you can do instead, is to sit with an erect spine, cross-legged and focus on the natural flow of your inhalation and exhalation. Or you may focus on the pause between your inhalation and exhalation. That's also a very great practice. See how it works for you, by practicing for a few days.
      But as much as possible, make sure to follow Yama-Niyamas (you can google them), take a sattvic diet in moderate quantities, maintain Brahmacharya, cleanliness of the body and surroundings, get up and sleep early and avoid negative company. It will all contribute greatly to your meditation. 😇

      Kindly rewatch it again. The video says what should be the posture, when you should meditate, how long you should meditate, where and how to focus and meditate. You have to close the eyes, or keep them half closed and be aware of the point between the eyebrows. As simple as that. You can also focus with love, mentally, on the form of your personal God, whoever you're devoted to. Hope this helps :)

    Sri Yukteshwarji "If concentrate on the tip of the nose, all yogis would be cross eyed." Nostrika in Sanskrit is the root of the nose in between eyebrows not the tip of the nose. Autobiography of a Yogi 1946 original edition is the only book left when Yoganandaji was still on Earth not a word of His has been corrupted by His SRF "devotees". After His leaving 1952 Autobiography of the Yogi has been unmercifully crucified. I bought original 1946 edition and my friend gave me later 2013 edition as a gift. I was shocked and cried. Thank you God-Father I didn't join SRF. Was initiated into Kriya Yoga by the Master whose Master is Shiv Goraksha Babaji. Be aware dear friends🙏

      Well, it could still be done. The practice is in Bhagavad Gita and the term used is "nasika agram", which implies the front part or tip of the nose. Many authentic sages of Hinduism have mentioned the "tip of the nose" thing. So, with proper guidance and method given by an adept Guru, it can be done without any cross-eye risk. However if that is not feasible or comfortable, concentration could also be done there with closed eyes or mentally, without having to squint or cross the eyes. Or you can also do so at the root of the nose, between the eyebrows. Some subtle differences could then be there in terms of the experiences, out of the different way of practicing the meditation. Secondly, I was not sure that there's difference in terms of original publication and later versions of the text. It was a surprise. Thanks for raising that. Also glad that you got initiated and found your master. 🙏🏻 😇

    Really Great but Meditation is Non-doing

    • @HinduismAsItIs
      @HinduismAsItIs  Před 5 měsíci +1

      In essence, yes. Every spiritual practice essentially and eventually, leads to that state of stillness. Practically speaking, one is generally not at all habitual and capable of truly "non-doing" and being still, that is exactly why spiritual practices have come up. Effort put into these spiritual practices eventually guides one to that state of effortless Being and Stillness of one's true nature.

      Hindi avashya aati hai, parantu Hinduism kisi ek bhasha tak hi seemit nahi hai. Aur vaise bhi Hindu shastron ki vastavik bhasha sanskrit hai, hindi nahi. Parantu uska tatparya ye thodi hua ki keval sanskrit me hi prachar ho dharm aur adhyatam ka. Aise bhi, adhyatam ka uddeshya gyan vardhan karna aur Ishvar/Atma ki aur lena hota hai, kisi bhasha se bandhna nahi. 🙂 Bhasha mukhyatah ek madhyam hai apni baat dusron tak pahuchane ka. And anyways, the purpose of using English is that the maximum people get benefitted with the wisdom, across the planet, as English is the most spoken and understood language in the world. But there are a few old videos and shorts in Hindi as well. 🙏🏻
