    I just uploaded and got approved my 3rd book. I know I have a while to go but just curious do you do ebooks or print books? I have 2 kids activity books and 1 coloring book. Don’t know what to expect as far as potential sales but you’ve had good success so congrats.

      95% are print books. I haven’t had the sales with Ebooks that I’d hoped for so focus is on print books.

    Hi Romney, great video. You mention money lost from returns but watching one of your other videos (to do with wholesale discount I think) you said you select 'No' for returns. Which do you favour, or have you still had sales selecting 'No' to returns?

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I have just a select few books (Illustrated children's books) that I leave the 'Yes' to returns toggled on. I feel they have the best chance of being picked up by bookstores. The majority of the others, I see as online only sales therefore leave as 'NO' for returns. Hope that helps!

      Yes thanks Romney, that’s helpful. Mines a children’s story book too and the prospect of paying for a bookstores clerical error ordering too many copies isn’t a good prospect but it’s just something to consider. Thank you.

    Thanks for this video. Didn't knew about inframspark. One thing I agree is...if people have to pay uploading fee then definitely they will be serious and another plus point is it won't be over crowded.

    Or it is only for some specific countries?

      @@globalselfpublishing how is possible that you have 50 books if you publish just 1 book a months? You do this because is better publishing less on ingram and they don't want too much books?

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Před 2 lety +1

      In 2020 and 2021 I was publishing 2 books per month on Ingram. That has slowed down now as I focus on more complicated books that take lots more tme with illustrations etc.

    If I use KDP's free ISBN for paperback, can I then buy an ISBN for the Hardcover released on Ingram Spark for that same book? Thanks!

    If you are doing IngramSpark and KDP, how do you handle the ISBN on KDP? Do you use the same one for both?

    • @globalselfpublishing

      Yes, use the same for both as long as everything is the same (eg. Title, subtitle, book size, page count...everything).

      @@globalselfpublishing Oops! I already posted my book on KDP. I guess I have to take it down, get the ISBN and start again. So I need one ISBN per version (eBook, paperback, ...) but they are selling a bar code with 10 ISBNs. I also see that some websites generate the barcode for free. Then I see a QR code. Is there some place that explains all this? I have not seen one even with lots of Google searches. Thanks!

    IngramSpark offered me to accept a agreement to have my book on Target. Says some kind fee or something. Question; fee comes out of the royalty I earn from the sale or they go into my bank account and withdraw money. Hard to find the answer to this. Please help.

    How about tax payment to IRS from Ingramspark earnings ? Especially for non USA resident (authors). Ingram wrote that they do not collect money for tax payment to IRs as Amazon does.

      Ingram offer very little regarding marketing opportunities. They don’t have the equivalent of AMS but because of their wide distribution, sales have organically come in because of their huge reach to over 40,000 online stores, libraries and traditional brick and mortar stores.
