- This has a lot of stuff the same as Bridges 1 and 2. that I did earlier. The bridges and road were not finished in them. This is the 1st time I have driven all the way to Hudson Hope on all the new bridges and the road work all done. Looking forward to watch the reservoir slowly filling up. On this trip we had the whole day so went up to the Peace Canyon Dam and looked around as well as Dinosaur Lake.

Thanks for the vid, I lived and worked up there for many years, haven't been back since 2015. It was both interesting and a little sad to see the Peace country looking so sterile. It looked more like what I would expect to see in California. I suppose the only real constant is change.
Yes lots of change on that stretch of road now. They say they will start filling the reservoir at end of August. I will be filming that progress. They say it will take 4 months.
I have never ever seen that river so low.
Cool video.
They were going to start filling it this fall. Change of plans now its next fall. I want to capture the levels in 4 different times. They say only 4 months to fill it.
great tour ron - thnx gord
Thanks for comment. They were going to start filling last fall but change of plans. I will be doing 1/4ly fill up videos as it fills.
@@rongibson6281 i look fwd to this - gord
Glad to have you make these videos so I can see area with out having to drive it myself. Did you notice how they fixed the bridges expansion joints to warn bikers about getting the wheels cough. They put up a signs
Its better than that one the railway shut down the airport road for a day to fix that Railroad crossing
More power to drive more cars i guess
💢 Very nice video! Well done! 👏✨ 💯
Thank you very much!
Let's get on with site D! More dams more juice!
It will be needed for sure. Thanks for viewing and commenting
25 x 25 billion, just add it to provincial debt. Hence, more taxes!
Interesting but where is this at? You don’t mention the area just hope …… something…. Location would be helpful. Thanks.
Ft St John B.C. Canada B C Hydro just announced they would start filling the reservoir at the end of August. I will be filming it in 4-5 parts as it fills up. They say about 4 months. but with the rivers so low I think it will take longer.
thats disgusting they are flooding that beautiful river valley
All to power LNG which the atmosphere can't absorb.
How many times have you been to that valley? What do you know about the geology in that area? Have you read the environmental impact reports? If you can't answer yes to all of those questions I have to seriously doubt your sincerety or your qualifications to speak to matters that do not concern you.
@PaulHodgson-gm6lg that installation will provide 5.5 gigawatts of clean renewable energy to the lower mainland just when they will need it. It has nothing to do with LNG. What are you really trying to do? Do you think it makes you appear relevent or informed? I have serious questions about your real motivation to spread misinformation.
What I find particularly disgusting is that if the dam had been built at Dunvegan on the Peace River in Alberta there would have been very little flooding of Farmland because that's where the river is a deep gorge
Just another screw up by Trudeau that's all
Does this have to do with a pumped hydro project?
Yes The reservoir was to start filling this fall but will now start fall 2023. I will be doing 4 updates as it fills. They say it will only take 4 months to fill. B C Hydro has a ton of information and pictures of progress on the web site.
Site C is hydro Electric but i haven't seen any info that it's also pumped hydro storage. from what i understand pumped hydro is almost never on a flowing river.
Where’s this at?
Ft st john. British columbia
Lots of misinformation, sink rate , cracks, and cost overruns. This is not affordable.
I stay out of the politics of the Dam. I am just interested in the history of making a new lake and changing the geography of the land.
youre using and electric phone, and an electric drone to take video to edit on an electric computer to upload onto an electric server so people can watch it on their electric TVs, all manufactured with more electricity but electric cars are the problem? 🤣🤣🤣
No I dont think electric cars are the problem. They will be thou. I am all for more Dams and hydro projects. I just will never drive a electric car. After 60 years of muscle cars in my garage I will always have one or two. I think they are so far off base with what they are planning with electric cars.
@@rongibson6281 I agree that dam are relatively simple addition to the grid since there's already hundreds of them, zero emissions and overall less destructive since they offer natural habitat and flood control.
I also agree that I'll always have a hobby car in my garage as well. (i've spent many years legally road racing and since moving out to BC have enjoyed overlanding and rock crawling) but you seem pretty reasonable enough to admit that electric cars certainly fit the over whelming majority of the daily grind getting from A to B when the average is just 35kms round trip. they don't fit everyone but they fit the majority.
@@rongibson6281 Ev's are B.S. the ultimate scam.
