- In this first Golf DIY video we make a 2' x 3' golf mat to be able to practice off of. Materials were sourced from Home Depot and will be listed below. Mat works great and won't tear up your clubs! Also, net was acquired from Walmart and is linked below.
Happy Practicing!

Have fun and enjoy hitting!!
Excellent! I had no idea Home Depot sold turf for so cheap! Thanks for the video!
Well done!
This was pretty cool. Thanks! See you all at Home Depot!
Good stuff right here, thanks!! Headed to HD right meow
Enjoy! Get that practice in!!
Love it man, I noticed rubber just a little thicker at tractor supply on sale this week. Defiantly gonna give this a go! Forget dropping big money on a mat when you can do this!
Sick! Just got off work this morning, slow night, so I’m gonna head out and make this bad boy! Thanks for the video!
Turf no longer available.
that test with putter from tee xd
How’s the turf holding up? Looking to do this but curious about the longevity of the turf
If you flip mat over after gluing the pressure from backing should be enough
3:38 - That stuff is thick and you just barely nipped the top off of the funnel cap leaving a tiny hole for it extract from. All you had to do was cut off more of the cap and it's also good practice to do this on a slight angle. When it's squeezed out, make sure the open end it facing down toward the surface.
Thanks for the tip! I’m doing another similar project soon so I’ll make the adjustment for the next one!
You also have to buy the right size cartridge for the gun the piston can't push down far enough if you use the small size as you did.
How is this holding up to irons and wedge shots? Any tears in the turf?
Nothing yet, but if I notice any I’ll make another video to let everyone know how long it lasted!
Not bad! I just worry that these are not soft enough to limit the strike force and injure your wrists/hands.
Rotator cuff injury incoming!
I use mine all the time in my garage with no issues! The ergonomic pad works great!!
@@thatsputtable how long you been using it? That’s my only worry hitting
Off hard concrete
@@TeHMaraSoH12 I've been using it since July and it's still going strong! No issues with my clubs or to me from hitting off my garage floor. The pad really is thick and does the job well!
To heck with my wrist/hands! Id be more concerned about my clubs if the mat isnt thick enough, lol.
Has the matt held up? How about the net?
Still using both today!
I'm considering doing this. How has the mat performed and held up over the year?
I’m not trying to be a negative Nancy here but…. If you use this your joints are going to suffer. Go ahead and try it for a few months
I built this same one, after a couple months my elbows were killing me to where to i couldnt swing a club. . It did hold up really well. If you dont use it often its probably fine. But i was hitting a lot every day.
