Everybody showing all the fancy tools and storage, THE BEST part of this was the toilet! Few ever think of having one.
Lol glad you liked! Had to include it
Doesn't a coffee can count?
I'm not sure Ryobi counts as "fancy" but the toilet is a good add. Great job utilizing the space and staying efficient
I got a toilet in mine too... Don't use it very often, but sometimes you just don't have access to anything else...
By far my favorite set-up I've seen. Great job. So efficient.
I know you’re proud of that toilet. Better than any public bathroom
The fact you were able to build this out with all your necessities AND had the idea for a bathroom - top notch! So many overlook that element but when it’s needed, it is needed.
Possibly the best van set up I've seen. Well thought out, well built, it's a good advert for your business in itself!
This is practical and wonderful. Of course, we would all love some amazing cabinet-grade build out, but in reality, this is what I needed to see.
I'm loving that toilet. A dream van of mine would have a Cinderella combustion toilet to avoid all cleanup. You can even throw wet wipes in there. They make a diesel version now too so you don't need to deal with LPG.
Love make it work .. Best of luck, stay busy, and make tons of income..
Excellent video, very well thought out truck
Like that you gave credit to who you took some inspiration for doing it.
Great use of space. I really like the the swing out table/miter saw storage. I am going to have to use that idea. Thank you!
How is that swing out hinged?
Nice van setup. You have all the essentials.
Wow that is some detailed work you’ve done there nice!! 👍🏻
It's a great setup... I can see how this setup would work on many of the jobs I do. Thanks for sharing!
The best advertising for your competence.
greatly appreciate the video
Keep er goin brother
This is so sick
Excellent set-up, lots of thought to plan out tool and general equipment storage. First one I have seen with a toilet installed. Very smart idea. I have for years had a five gallon bucket, such as you get at the big box stores. And I attached a toilet seat. I line the bucket with strong garbage bags. I don't have to use it often but it has come in very handy.
Great set up for your tools, materials and even a bathroom! Well thought out. Lots of great ideas and enjoyed your video. Thank you!
Ryobi tools tells the whole story
That is cool my friend.
👍🙏🇺🇸
awesome work and video man 👏
Hello 👋🏼!! Congratulations, great job and great ideas!! Next video title….. Handyman in action !!! Thanks 🙏🏽 !!
Impressive that you lug around your post hole digger, nice!
Thanks, I like to keep everything in the van so I don’t have to think about what I need each today.
Great ideas!!! Love the caulk station and trash station!!!
Very interesting. Just bought my first van, and was brainstorming how to set it up. I’m a landlord/handyman myself. Got some good ideas here.
Very very nice keep your stuff organized I wish I was like you my van is a mess I am also a handyman it's called a Pac-Man I just full of stuff
I hear you, keeping things organized really saves time and cuts down on frustration when looking for tools. Might be worth spending some time to tidy up
This is a fantastic video! Thanks, simple and I love it! ALSO!! Put an airtag in your van if you have an iphone. Cheap way of tracking your van if it is stolen.
Good video. Nice ideas. I like the way how all your tools organized
Thanks! Has saved so much frustration and time when looking for tools.
when i hire a contractor i always like to look at their truck and how they organize stuff. The guys with stuff organized like you have are usually good contractors. nice job. The next van should be a van you can stand up in.
I totally agree with you. It is a great reflection on their quality of work. On a similar note, the quality and care of an auto service place can be measured to certain extent how their rest rooms are maintained.
Agreed! Working towards getting a ford transit. Being able to stand up would make a big difference.
@@radchander That's funny that you mentioned auto shop restrooms. I'm a retired automotive technician. I ran my own shop for the better part of 20 years. When I was revamping the waiting room and restroom, I based everything on 'would my wife or daughter feel comfortable in here.' Let's face it, guys don't really care. If there is a TV and a toilet, that's good enough. My waiting room and restroom looked like something you would find in a nicely finished basement/ recreation room. People don't want to be at a shop. Period. They don't want to spend money fixing a car. It a grudge purchase. There was nothing automotive related, except for a few magazines. No posters, no signs. Just some decorative things my wife picked out. And the restroom, always spotless. I've seen some shop restrooms so bad that I didn't want to use it. Think how a woman would feel. I got lots of comments over the years. People really do appreciate things like that. And when a customer is at ease they are more likely to spend money.
very organized and functional!
Thanks!
Very nice setup, you can fit so many tools in there.
Thank you for share nice setup
Im a handyman as well. and let me tell you you my friend havea great set up
Thank you!
These vans go 300000plus if you change oil at regular intervals. I’ve had 6 of them over the years. Thanks for vid!
That is nice setup. I worked out of a 1984 Ford E150 with the passenger seats removed. I never built it out because I was always hauling materials to jobs and hauling off debris. Most jobs would barely dent a dumpster so hard to justify. I would take tools on a job specific basis. I could get up to a 24-foot extension ladder in the van with doors closed. It's nice to have all your tools but if you have an accident or it gets stolen, you lose everything.
You’re right, that’s why I blocked out the windows to prevent prying eyes and am diligent about locking all the doors. It comes down to making it work for you so glad to hear you found a system!
I was expeting this video was coming an experienced youtuber with 100k subs, you deserve so much more! I'll be eager to see new videos soon. The toilet was the cherry on top!
Thanks!
Quite possibly the best van your ever. You, my friend are a genius!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Wow thanks Adam, I really appreciate it! It took quite a bit of planning to build, but after two years of working out of it, I’m way more efficient on the job. Would love to hear about your setup if you’ve got one!
perfect because tomorrow I will start working on my van, thanks for the ideas 👍💯
Nice van bro
Thanks for the tour! Good to see a set up that has actually been in use. I'm on my third van- also a Ford, & it's been on the job for over 20 years.
Hi Jay, yes it’s definitely got some use and is ever evolving. Glad to hear you’ve had success with ford vans as well!
Very impressive use of space. I believe you could make some decent money designing and building out work vans, trucks, and trailers for builders and handymen.
Thanks!
Very nice van walk around everything has a place to be stored. Nice & neat & clean . I like the clear plastic tubes for screws & stuff. However I don't know where to by them. Thank you for a great video.
Hi Debbie, thanks for the kind words! It definitely helps to have everything in a specific spot. The viewtainers are really handy and you can get them on Amazon. Here’s the link to the product page: amzn.to/3JhX64t
It’s an affiliate link so if you end up buying I’ll receive a small commission at no additional charge to you. Cheers!
Lowes has them too where their garage storage stuff is. I'm sure they are cheaper on amazon and you can help support this guy while your at it ...winwin.
Nice build and creative planning...i bought a van but making it a rv....fyi..get an alarm and put a hidden kill switch with other security measures because i got my catalytic converter stolen which is bad but nothing compared to losing the hole van and whats in it or just some break in and half the stuff taken...by the way also i highly recommend driving with a dash camera it has saved my ass from liars...good luck 😎🍺
Yeah security is always an issue. I appreciate the suggestions!
Thanks for the video, cool tool bus, thanks for sharing your experience.
Very well done. I really love the move out rack for table saw ET al. Having a dedicated dust bin and Pan/brush area on the rear door goes to show your attention to details. Nice. My 2 cents worth is to keep heavy items like compressors etc close to the exit point. Also. If you can afford 2 or 3 inches of space, you can utilize the long plywood wall on the right when u walk from rear to front to hang things, as long as they don’t interfere your getting in and out. Happy new year
Happy New Year to you. Agreed about keeping large tools accessible. In my case, I don’t use the compressor a whole lot and it easily wheels out if I need it. I’ve seen a lot of people keep their compressor fixed in their van/trailer and use a hose reel instead of lugging it out every time so that’s an option too. I like your idea to use that flat space on the plywood to hang things. However, I sometimes need to transport large items and debris so I need as much width as I can have in that center aisle.
Great job dude
Best so far
dig it!
Nicely done... Thanks for taking the time to share... Good thoughtful setup..
Definitely going to watch - this
Great job I love it to the T. One day I'll get my savana organized. It takes a lot of patience and effort plus thinkability. Great job bro
Awesome setup! You have given me a lot of good ideas.
Glad to hear!
Awesome. I just bought that van. Thanks for the ideas.
Good job man , i like to see used tools no matter of brand . It's too much youtube setups that not used once , just for show off :D
Toilet no doubt is my favorite feature 😂
Love this man I’m hoping to get a set up like this I work out my Tahoe where I removed all of my back seats and carpet I really need the extra space.
Good luck with your build!
Thanks for the video. I’m going to vinyl wrap my windows, and make a set up like this in my GMC 2500 Savana
Glad you found it helpful! What trade are you in?
@@TheHandyManual union carpenter
Good on you, nice setup, you seem like a great guy, I have no doubt you have loads of work coming your way 👍
Nice setup. It’s nice to a setup that’s pretty rough looking. Didn’t spend days making every joint perfect and beautiful. This is how I build my things for similar setups as well. Doesn’t have to look nice, has to get the job done, and I don’t have time to make everything look fancy.
Great tour. Thank you!
I appreciate it!
Love it superb use of space
Love it! I'm rockin a 2005 Honda Odyssey right now trying to get some ideas on a small build out to get my tools more organized!
Great set up.
I stumbled upon this looking for ideas for my van.
The toilet, best equipment in the van lol.
I think the toilet is a great idea besides all the shelves and drawers. I would feel more comfortable using my own toilet.
Thanks, we’re definitely on the same page!
Great job bro.
Is the reason you have a work van, because you’d rather not drive a trailer?
Because this is the route I’m thinking of taking, and that’s the reason lol.
lol yes definitely, a van is much more compact.
Nice van. I work out of a 97 ram about to hit 300k miles and my dad uses 98 dodge van with a little less but they do the job and keeps the expense of newer vehicles but will probably upgrade to a newer truck by the end of the year
Wow that’s impressive, I’m around 130k miles and am planning to put quite a bit more. You give me hope that they last a long time lol
Fantastic layout sir,very ingenious
Impressive use of space. Great job. I never thought of a portable toilet in my van...I have a small thermos for emergency #1 only.
Lol it’s good for emergencies, but the worst part is cleaning it!
Nice build.
Great use of space.
Thank you!
Great tour. I'm getting ready to do a buildout on a small box truck, and have been watching many CZcams tours of other trailers and trucks.
I've seen all of Ron Paulk's stuff, and it occurred to me to cut some dados every foot or so in the long drawers, to sub-divide them off if needed. Glad to see you also came up with that idea.
That’s great to hear. Hopefully you’ll have some more space to work with in the box truck. Thanks for catching that modification to the drawers. It does provide some additional organization and flexibility. Would love to see what you come up with!
i love it!
Im at the start of this process right now for my LWB Vauxhall Vivaro. Everything I had previously in mind is now out of the window. Your ideas are great, especially the crapper. I want one.
The crapper makes a big difference for those emergency situations lol good luck with your build!
Great build man! Giving me some idea for mine when that day comes lol
Great set-up! Gave me some great ideas. Thank you for sharing!
Happy to help!
Very very nice. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked!
Loved that tour .. nice van nice lay out well done .. I liked the mello moods too😊 .. im shelving a transit custom 8 yr old atm .. thanks for the tips ...
Sweet van. I use my Camry for the time being. I'd like to get something like this down the line
As you acquire more tools, it definitely helps to have a cargo van to keep everything in one place
Good vid
Very cool
Awesome!
Wow! Super impressive. Great video.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the tour! I appreciate van videos for the utilization of space. I noticed you use a lot 3/4. I built a lot of stuff out of 1/2 using pocket holes, it gave me a great opportunity to figure out using pocket holes in that this of a material, and it’s still holding up after 10 years. Especially all the bins and drawers I made out of 1/2.I thought I’d mention it seeing space is a premium in your set up. Love the sheet good storage. I did a tour of my trailer here on CZcams. I got so many ideas on here, pintrist and a thread on contractor talk. Looking forward to to your next mods. May your work be tighter, faster and more profitable with every job you complete.
Thanks for your kind words! I used mostly 3/4 because my racking design called for a lot of dados so I thought 1/2 might be a bit thin. However, the 3/4 adds a lot of weight so in future fit outs I might opt for 1/2 or 5/8. Love that you took inspiration from CZcams as well!
Great Job Nicely Done 😉👍🏽
Thanks!
Many thanks for the tour. great content!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice and practical. I've been doing handyman work out of my truck for the past two years and it sucks moving gear and tools in and out.
That's my problem I prefer trucks and the only way when I was a roofer and metal worker but when I became an electrician and later an appliance tech I worked out of vans but still prefer the easy access of the truck but the security of a van is kinda a good trade off. I work out of a truck now and my dad works out his van and sometimes we trade vehicles depending on jobs but it's hard to replace one with the other
Yeah, the great debate between a truck or van will keep raging on. I prefer a van for the reason you mentioned, all tools in one spot and there’s more opportunity to customize inside.
earned my sub
Nice Job!
Nicely organised bud, it looks very good.
Thanks!
SICK!
Great tour. I am debating getting a van or doing some upgrades to my pick up.
What have you decided. You can share your opinion
I have an addition for you to add to your van....you'll lose about 3" of width for your center aisle though.
Since you like 3x4 ply so much....a slide out 3x4 ply top pop down work table. Bottom slider of it would be working height (whatever you're comfortable at) and basically it would be a double slide so you can get it almost out of the back. The in the van legs when folded down would rest on the bumper or back cargo area. The ground legs would be 2 part with wing nuts to adjust the height for uneven ground levels. The top would be about the same length as your drawers and 2-3 feet wide depending on your working height as the top needs to be able to lock under the preset height of the top of your drawer cabinet (so you don't lose the 4x8 sheet slide area). The bottom of the table top would be a 2x4 or 2x3 box frame where the drop legs would fold up into. The very top where it slides in would just be an "L" bracket so it can hold the top sheet (off set the frame from the edge of the top sheet so the L doesn't extend past the bottom of the table. Basically, the table when folded up would take up 2.25" along the wall of the drawers. This table would give you a work area for setting up the table saw/miter saw/etc at the van. If you wanted to make a portable work table, you could use the same area of the van for storing it.
Thanks for the clever suggestion! I’m in need of a more convenient solution for an on-site work table. Right now I put a 2x3 piece of wood on saw horses, but sometimes taking the saw horses in and out is tedious. Do you have a mock up or drawing of the design?
@@TheHandyManual czcams.com/video/B3BYpiiJn0M/video.html
@@TheHandyManual I actually have a pair of light duty saw horses that are pretty compact when folded up. Made of metal and not much bigger than your standard 2x4. I think they are around 30 inches long. I use them as table legs all the time. Just throw a piece of plywood on top, instant work bench. I bought these at Canadian Tire. Obviously in Canada. I'm not positive but I think Harbour Freight sells something similar.
Nice ❤
Nice set up im in the carpet/flooring trade I load my van too the max lol
That’s the only way to do it!
Nice van! I just bought an E-250 myself. Came with metal trades shelf/bin system but I plan to slowly customize it and probably do something similar to yours.
Awesome! Glad the 250's are still out there and getting the job done. I took a week off from jobs to build mine after designing it. Ripped out all the factory metal shelving and started from scratch. Doing it piece mail is a good idea too so you don't miss out on making money :)
@@TheHandyManual I saw that you have several videos on your build so I'll be checking those out for inspiration.
Nice setup, Bro!
Real cool
