My S3 came yesterday and it is definitely a step up from the M3 in my opinion. I definitely am looking forward to them making a battery dock for it. I love the fan too. It feels like menthol for your forehead. Well done BoboVR!
It's definitely a step up. The battery alone is worth the upgrade. I was just trying to say that someone in my situation, who bought the M2 because we couldn't get the M3, if we invested in the dock, in multiple batteries, and if we've spent $150 on this setup, is it worth it to upgrade? I don't think the benefits would outweigh the costs of doing it all over again. But if you're just coming in to it for the first time, it's definitely the best headstrap money can buy.
I just received my BoboVR S3 Pro yesterday. The fan is a God-send and that new B100 battery 🔋 is AMAZING! I got 2 hours of Mixed Reality video streaming with 20% left after it had charged my Quest from 22% to 55% while in use! 🤯 No heat while discharging or charging & (3 hrs 10 mins to charge the B100 battery). And once they release the new charging dock, it'll charge the battery in a third of the time it does without. Plus, those two top pads can be completely removed. 😉
The cable goes and stays well on the inside of the band, just flip it over, if you twist the short cable that goes in the quest so it kinda loops it’s also out of the way. Long press the fan scroll button shuts off the battery.

Yeah with that gunstock the open cup is great approach but it has to be tall enough so that whenever you place the controller in it the button automatically presses
@@MatiasSaarinen-ql7xh you wouldn't have to touch the grip button because it automatically grips whenever you grab you gunstock. So whenever you let go of the gunstock to reload you use the trigger to grab your magazine load it and then grab the grip and start shooting. Trust me I have a gunstock that works like that and it's way faster than the magnetic ones. Look up kobra VR gunstocks
I have a similar gunstock, from KobraVR, same style of open cup without magnets (now they do magnets as well), I really prefer the open cups, no learning curve and if you snipe it's actually faster (I think is faster in general)... but in the Kobra ones the "cup" is taller, actually is clicking the grip button on its own (in yours you need to click it yourself) and basically you have all three fingers gripping the gunstock, way more stable. About the 2 golfclubs , can you use it with the silicon grips or the controller need to be naked?
Wow. Im disappointed. Was hoping the Wield VR stock would get a glowing review. But it seems like the non magentic cups is a HUGE oversight. Im just now jumping into VR gaming so i might just go with the base magtube instead.(non haptic stock) Shame really cause the onestock seemed like a no brainer with its variants.
It's just not for me, and that's really all I can talk about. But I do mention it's pros, such as fast reloading and all that. It's not bad, and it's not an oversight, really, it's just them tapping into a market that doesn't exactly interest me. But plenty of people disagree. The magnets just matter a lot to me, personally

I sent them a email asking about the back order for the S3 pro and they emailed me back within an hour and it was around 12:48pm EST when they responded. I asked if the back order ship date was correct as it said 8-3-24 and they said it should be around March for back orders to ship. Could someone use rubber bands to keep the controllers more secure on the gunstock ?

@@AllanahAllure you get what you pay for. You're not gonna find anything amazing for under $100. I'd recommend saving up for the ProTube, start small, and modify it as you find the funds. You'll find stuff on Etsy for under $40, but I wouldn't personally recommend it. If it doesn't have magnets it's not a great solution.

The most iv spent on one was for my Ps5 & it was $150.I just pre ordered the S3 Pro and so far that’s the most expensive thing I have bought for my quest 3. I thought you just change the postion of the stock (rear end) to make it under-mounted instead of lower? Idk maybe you cant do it, but I remember the marketing video for it showed that you can change it to that. The price is what put me off, honestly, and the size. I bought a KobraVR Blitzer instead
It's just not physically possible because of the way the cups interact with the controllers. You'll have to hold the controllers upside down to do what you're talking about.

So i have to unplug the cable from the quest 3 so it dosent overcharge on the stand. Would this issue be fixed with bobovr? Thinking about grabbing it since its on sale. But want to hear battery lifetime compared to kiwi and if those issues will be fixed with bobo
@@marz11004 There isn't a dock specific to the BoboVR, and overcharging has never been an issue for me. I've been using the D. Gruoiza dock lately. I think I'd said it in previous videos, but yeah, the Kiwi headstrap is great for the price. If you like the Elite Strap design. But BoboVR is better for the comfort and hot swappable batteries. You might know better, but I think there are precautions in place to prevent it from over charging. I leave my BoboVR on the dock 24/7.

I try to figure out, is there a difference in image quality between using a link cable or using air link on wifi6 (5Ghz)? Or is there any setting (f.e. in ODT or maybe the use of VD instead of air link) where there is no difference in visuals between air link and link cable? Thanks!
For my use case Virtual Desktop is much better than Air Link. In every way. The only difference between VD and the cable will be compression artifacts, but that's a pretty tough thing to overcome. I use Virtual Desktop with a WiFi 6E router, I'm always within 8 feet of it with line of sight and I use the AV1 codec within VD. Under those conditions I'm a happy camper. But yeah, the perfectionist will notice some minor grain or muddy artifacts now and again, regardless of the wireless connection.

But then you'd have to take your finger off the button and that would cause you to drop the gun.

The silicone would need to be skin tight, but I suppose it could work potentially.

The gunstock wasn't made to hold your controllers it was made for you to feel like you have more stability and it feels more natural than magnets
