no mans sky vr runs much smlother since worlds update

just bought this then bought the Kiwi battery head strap and vented face mask. Can't get the thing to charge when the face mask is on. very annoying.

I bought the K4 Comfort Head Strap for Quest 3 directly from KIWI design on July 8th and it does make clicking sounds when tightening. Maybe they fixed that for the final product.

What facial interface would you recommend with the Bobo S3 Pro head strap?

Do you think Kiwi also could make a upgraded battery version. K4 with battery? With a charge on/off button.😱 I have the Kiwi charging dock and SPC battery strap. But you always have to unplug the strap from the quest 3 when putting it away, or it will keep charging it....and few days later both quest 3 and battery strap will be discharged. Thats the only reason I moved on to Bobovr S3. But if Kiwi would change that one thing I would go back to Kiwi.

How does the Bobovr S3 Pro keep the fog from your lenses away? 6:10 The S3 is only able to blow air on your forehead. It can't blow air in your facial interface. I don't get it. Please explain....

I’m struggling to understand the video, there’s no structure you’re just speaking without a script, maybe you have like 3 points but then it feels like a middle school presentation where you’re trying to pad it out by just saying more words and repeating the same thing, the whole china ramble is useless and I don’t see how it has anything to do with kiwi VS bobovr, like genuinely, china is known for cheap manufacturing and they already have established factories so obviously it’ll be cheaper to produce them there compared to middle of nowhere Ohio where labor laws are different along with the standard of living and cost of gods, ignoring the fact that a random company will have to build their own factory and warehouse to just make vr head straps, you have to start somewhere and the most convenient place to start is the cheapest (while still having good quality). Yes local products are great because they incentivize people to push the economy and then we keep the money within the country which helps with circulation and helps local businesses, but if it will cost me 200$ to get the same head strap here and 89$ if I get it from china, they’re both the same, why do I, the consumer, care? Justify the extra money by giving me something so superior that my jaw drops and I’ll consider it. When local manufacturing gets cheap enough to compete with the likes of the giant factories that are willing to lose some money just to gain a percentage of the market place then we can happily spend the money locally. Some stuff are cheaper to produce locally, some stuff can be made locally within a reasonable price, but having to produce molds and then setup injection plants that can operate at the scale that already established factories can, for example bobovr s3, their Amazon page says they sold 3000 within the last month, that’s tough to compete with. Niche products can be an exception since you don’t need that many people or machines, but when you have to ramp up it’ll cost you, otherwise you can just make your mold and partner with a factory that will do the rest, for less money. I watched this video to know which headstrap I should get, I genuinely don’t know what information I left with, I watched it 2 days ago and again now but I still don’t understand what I watched, please note that you should consider structuring and writing down, even if it’s just a rough draft, of what you want to say and how you want to say it, you could’ve edited the parts where you try to find words since out but you just left it almost like it’s a one take video but that’s not gonna do good in the algorithm which will hurt your channel. Last time I watched the video I didn’t even get through half of it before I left since literally nothing of value was said, your comparison was “they put a little adapter that you don’t know what it is but it’s so good!!” And “bobovr never responded to my affiliate requests”. You said bobovr doesn’t have a dock but then you showed a b-roll of the dock, it’s a charging dock, you’re not meant to have to bother with charging the quest as the batteries are hot swappable, not the biggest fan of that but that’s how it works. Also you’re hitting your desk a lot it’s going through the mic and it’s kinda annoying I suggest getting a shock mount, they come with normal stands or desk clamp stands, I have one clamped to my desk so it’s not directly going to my desk, but it’s best to have it on another desk so it doesn’t even have a chance of getting affected by it, tho that’s totally unnecessary as the shock mount should do 80% of the job and damp the sounds. I’m assuming you don’t have one as the sounds are loud and sudden. Big ramble in one comment, not should’ve made it into separate paragraphs but you get the gist of it, hope it helps

quick question: I'm currently looking for "a" or rather "the" gunstock; and I'm really not sure. Even the minimalistic iStock, that attaches front and back via the controller cords, has its positives, because for instance you can just as easily use it as a pistol without switching/dropping the stock. ProTube has going for them, that they are very modular with a lot of options, like forcefeedback, controller straps that work with the gunstock and generally pretty good reviews. Also, it's not as expensive as the OneStock. But this one is more or less changeable on-the-fly and looks very easy to handle and learn. Very expansive though. Senaki have their metallic barrel, meaning you can attach the forward controller anywhere, which makes it useable for a lot of different guns (one can't change the height though, so there might be some alignment issues). So my question would be: what's the gunstock you use daily or consistently? Which is the most versatile and doesn't cost a ton? Thanks!

You know what game you should try ? Left for dead 2 VR Mod ! I am playing it currently without a haptic gun and its really fun. Would be interesting to see if the provolver works good with this mod :)

I use the 50 dollar q2 over ear headphones that clip onto the strap with a 6 inch 3.5mm 90 degree extension for 6 bux. Little bit of doublesided tape so they dont slide around on the strap and some white wire clips that stick to the unit for neatly tucking the wires. They are loud enough and nobody else can hear me play them. One advantage they have is they don't push on my earlobes like the style in this video. After 5 hours I dont have the same pain as I did when I tried the on ear style.

Great video with lots of great info! You had a very similar experience as I did but with minor differences. I’ve used well over a dozen VR head straps for the Quest 2/3 and this KIWI head strap is by far my personal favorite. I do 4-6 hour long VR streams and using the new head strap makes it comfortable and enjoyable the entire time. Like you, I enjoyed the previous knob click, and I let KIWI know that exact same information. Either way, it’s still extremely nice and my preferred Quest 3 head strap. The facial interface is also the best available for the Quest 3. The AMVR interface had light leakage through the vents and allowed glare, the META one felt cheap on top of it not being as comfortable, had sweat build, etc. The KIWI interface fixes the issues that the AMVR and META facial interface both have. The nose cover is a big improvement as well. The two swappable facial interface covers are comfortable and sweat resistant. The KIWI also works with the bHaptics TactVisor if that’s something users own or want to use. Either way, they’re the best Elite Strap by far and facial interface around for the Quest 3. But VR is very subjective, even when being objective.

Great video! You deserve many more views. How much do they weigh? I've been trying to purchase these headphones for a long time, but international shipping with customs is absolutely crazy, adding an extra $90 to the cost. I am not sure if I would still choose these headphones instead of true wireless, but at least I would like to try.

About to get a Q3 as soon as I can sell one of my guitars. I still use my Rift S and have the Deluxe head strap and earphones attached. They’re phenomenal. Best ones I’ve used personally.

The Quest3 built in audio is great for most games but since it lacks bass it just still isn't good in something like Beat Saber. I am currently using the Vega T1 earbuds which sound great and have charging passthrough but I think I will get these. I prefer to use analog audio because of the zero latency and I won't have to be depended on charging them or using yet another app on my phone.

Have you had the chance to test and review any (good) wireless earbuds for Quest 3? I have heard latency is an issue for most regular earbuds, but some supposedly work well. I'm such a stickler for over-ear headphones, I don't know what would annoy me more, earbuds or the on-ear headphones you're demonstrating in this video, but I suspect I'd prefer earbuds.

Imagine if you could immerse yourself in a VR tactical shooter wearing a cheap Amazon knock-off bump helmet with a replica NV mounted Quest 3 and wearing headphones that resemble the Peltor ear protection with comms that the military uses. Dual-market that stuff at Airsofters and VR nerds.

I have these headphones based on your recommendation and they are awesome. The nuances I’m hearing in games is wild. I have to jack the volume up 3 extra bars to where I usually have the stock volume at, but they are plenty loud for me. I didn’t have to modify them with nail clippers as I think they fit perfectly fine on the Bobo S3 without modification. I also bought them on eBay for $55 USD

I just got the bobo s3 pro strap headband 3 days ago, and I seen where a lot of people complained about the noise. I turn all the way up to 100, and can even hear it. Maybe they fixed the issue with the recent orders. Cool headphones I may order these also. Thanks! I have the prism Vega t1 earbuds. Only used them once, but they work great as well. Made for vr. If I understand correctly, developers have access to the simplified/labeled “Scene Anchors” as well as the detailed “Scene Mesh,” so the latter isn’t being discarded. However, it’s much more resource intensive to calculate collisions with complicated shapes than with simple primitives (like boxes), so some developers may rely on the former to improve performance. Meta is working on an AI room-scanning model, called “SceneScript,” which should provide a nice middle ground between the simple anchors and detailed mesh. Regarding your suggestion to limit the size of the play space that can be scanned, I suspect the appropriate limit would vary by game. For example, a very simple application may function fine in a large space, while a more complex game could quickly run out of resources. Admittedly, I’m speaking as an extreme amateur who clumsily dabbles in coding from time to time, so others may be able to offer more detailed and accurate insight.

lol you raise good points and insight as a consumer but also called me poor for having smaller house. I want AR to not be gaming focused. I want to replace walls with my email inbox, windows with weather I want to see and change the colour of my space as I feel. and most of all real time translation when I look at a sign in x language it will translate, map markers for a destination so i can follow using whatever mapping software on my phone. so far the game side has been okay for me much more immersed in the full VR games over ar but that likely is due to lack of use in the current game market but visual desktop and whatever options we have in the future would be nice even as simple as a hdmi dongle that streams the output of any device into your vr homespace so you can hang monitors in ar would be good.

Whatever, I only use my Quest 3 for SIM racing games and could care less about if AR does not do/work correctly. I would assume META will make the mesh thing better in the future, at least now they have the Pass through looking better. Eye tracking is not a necessity with my gaming (don't do social apps or Avatars).

I don't think AR is a gimmick as some experiences use it to wonderful effect, but like you say occlusion is an issue. Bomber drone is great, but sometimes it places enemies behind a wall, outside a room etc. The thing that bothers me though, is even if you use point cloud cloud storage, you frequently have to rescan the room as for some reason the quest dosen't seem to want to remember the room layout and defaults to a 1metre circle.

Good to see you again! This raw mesh of the room. Although its been a while since I've played some of these MR games. I'm pretty sure it used that mesh when in Figmin XR. I could roll a ball of my couch, Albeit a low poly couch. Then it rolled behind the table. Wich occluded that 3d object. But its never perfect, and the mesh itself can shift in position. Probably why Meta is taking forever to implement augments. Some games use this hand occlusion (not like avp) but a transparent 3d model mask of a hand. Piano Vision, Toy Monsters and Pencil are games/apps that use this hand occlusion. Especially cool in toy monster imo. I really hope we get it in the UI at some point. Meta is clearly going after AVP with their v67 update. But not having eyetracking to foveate the render resolution while in the main Ui probably limits the the Quest 3's capabilities greatly.
