No matter what he showed up and put out 100% a lot of tension in there if you listen closely made for a great song
His genius was his wide range of musical influences. To take a 1927 Irving Berlin song and make it his own, I mean, come on now. How sweet is that
I was 5 when this was recorded. Didn't really get into the Dead until about 8 years ago through friends. better late than never .

easily one of the greatest things i’ve ever heard. I go back to songs from this show constantly. There isn’t a better video on CZcams. This IS History , my brothers and sisters… Pure Jerry. I could just kiss whomever made this video. Thank you so much. There is nothing better than this. I keep coming back to this night.. and this Russian Lullaby certainly is one of my favorite Jerry moments I've ever heard. One of the few songs I could listen too on repeat for a while.. lots to digest.

The winter 1980 JGB tour was one of the finest they ever did - almost every song was 15 minutes or longer - epic versions of tunes like Russian, Simple Twist of Fate, Dear Prudence, Harder They Come, and last but not least, the debut of After Midnight>Eleanor Rigby>After Midnight sequence
The summer 1980 Dead tour is one of the best things that I ever did in my life !
