- Professional snowboarder and mountaineer @jeremyjones7046 has an intimate relationship with the outdoors. It’s his escape, his identity, and his legacy. But over the course of his 45 years in the mountains, he’s seen things change: more extreme weather, fewer snow days, and economic strain on mountain towns.
Motivated by an urge to protect the places he loves, Jeremy sets out on a physical and philosophical journey to find common ground with fellow outdoor people across diverse political backgrounds. He learns their hopes and fears while walking a mile in their shoes on the mountain and in the snow.
With intimacy and emotion set against breathtaking backdrops, Purple Mountains navigates America’s divide with a refreshing perspective: even though we may disagree about climate policy, our shared values can unite us.

Love everything you stand for Jeremy. You are our modern day John Muir. I too, am all about giving my all and fighting like hell to do my part in trying to preserve the beauty that our winters give back to us, not just during the winter months, but throughout the year, year after year. I have great respect for you and what you are doing. I believe in the same things you do and believe the facts. I would encourage you to be stronger in your arguments, I would encourage you to match the level of argument and energy that the deniers are putting out there. I'm not about toxic masculinity, but sometimes, some people respond to a stronger voice as opposed to a very reasonable one. You use a very calm and reasonable voice to your argument, I respect that, but sometimes we gotta yell as loud as they do. Keep up the good work, we support u. I bought a mindexpander split bc I support you. Be strong. Keep fighting.
