I have a 1977 F100 Custom Supercab shortbed have never seen another one like it. It has 100k miles all original its 2wd I've been told it has a 351m and a 400 big block any suggestions on how I can determine which engine it truely has? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance if someone can tell me
@@1194video my man I appreciate that info! It was my grandfather's truck I've had it for 22 yrs and I've had to put a new alternator and a radiator from a rock in it. And thats it Flowmaster exhaust a chrome rear bumper And general maintenance. I've put around 20k of the 100k on it I rarely drive it. I was always told by my father it has a 351m and that was fords 400 big block. But I'm ready and able now to get down with a full frame off restoration. I've never got in a block so I'm not the most knowledgeable drive train mechanic. But everything else I'm doing myself. I did bodywork in my 20's. And man I cant wait to get the ball rolling. I love that truck more than anything materialistic. I slept in the supercab floor on a pallet when I was a little kid on road trips with my dad and grandpa. Got my diapers changed in it got schooled about life in it and lost my virginity in it lol. Kinda want to record the build just because it a family truck I'm a 3rd and it was my grandfathers and dads. So I want to restore it so it lasts another few generations!
@@1194video I just went on the decoding site and the 4th letter of the vin is a S so it has the 6.6liter 400 big block. Thanks alot for the info brother!
