Acrylic Pouring: Tree Ring on a Vase
Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 04. 2018
- Here is an acrylic pour on a vase using the tree ring method (dirty pour).
1. Clean vase with alcohol
2. Put vase on a cup on top of a canvas (use the canvas to catch the dripped paint, then make a painting out of the canvas)
3. Pour paint into cup in whatever order and whatever colors you'd like (see my paint mix ratio below)
4. Ensure you have enough paint to cover your canvas
5. Pour paint however you'd like onto vase
6. Once done applying paint, let it drip for about 15 minutes
7. Move vase off of canvas, set it to the side to finish drying and make a painting out of the canvas
8. Once vase is fully dry (it takes about a day), seal it. I use Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray.
Materials used:
Artists loft flow acrylics, decoart Metallics, Blick acrylics
Floetrol
Water
NO SILICONE
Floetrol mix: 5 parts floetrol, 3 parts paint, 2 parts water

THIS VIDEO IS INTENDED FOR ADULTS. - Zábava
Honestly I love both of those vases. Very different but very pretty.
Beautiful. Much better with the black. I love how you put canvas underneath and made more art instead of wasting paint
BLACK A PERFECT CHOSE!! LOVE THE WAY IT CAME OUT....THANKS FOR SHARING...
I think the lighter coloured base is quite calming 😊
The black really sets it apart from the other one. I love it
I like both, but I really like the one with the black! You were so right; there is definitely more contrast which equals more interest!!
woweeee. beautiful. so glad i found this to watch. pouring on anything is limitless. with stunning results. love love love the black
Your video was in my suggestion list; for the first time CZcams's algorithm got it right! You're creations are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
Nice bonus with the canvas catch 👍... beautiful!
I love the idea of the canvas matching the vase. That would look so cool one in front of the other or the vase on a vanity with the canvas across the room tying it all together !
Ouuuu I really like that color combo on the darker vase! You go girl!
I really like them both equally! Doing vases- what a cool concept. I love the tree ring pours! You get a "twofer"! Painted vase and a painting!! I love watching your videos.
What a gorgeous set with the vase and canvas
They're both so beautiful, but I so agree the black sets itself apart! Great job too btw.
Wow! The vases are awesome! They are complete opposites of each other! And that canvas was so pretty! It looked like a void sucking in the light and the dark!
I don't know which I love more, the vase or the painting......thanks for sharing.
I love how you can do so much with dirty pouring. You can play with negative space and make triptychs and reuse the paint. Its so cost effective and looks pretty.
Oh, these are beautiful! Perfect for an office.
I love both vases equally. And also cool job on the canvas. I want to try this someday...... Thanks for sharing!!
Love it! You are right about the black❤️👍❤️
This is simply stunning. And yes the black added a gorgeous depth
The vase and the painting will make a nice pairing... I like it.
Love!!! I have a glass star dish I'm going to try this with. Super excited
LOVE LOVE LOVE, so Beautiful !!!
Both are amazing. Your choices of color, proportions are so right on most of the time. I'd likely buy the light one, goes with my space, but I love the night skies 'tree ring' pour. This technique fits my recycle muse for cool shape glass bottles really, really well👍
I like both vases the one with black looked really cool and the one without black give a pastel theme
lots and lots of thumbs up!!! very pretty. thanks for sharing!
First time watching you, you put the others to shame. You're fast, efficent, and get your hands dirty. And, your results are the best I've seen. Stunning!
Thanks! I love your project pour...Beautiful! Will have to give it a try and will be sure to include black 👍
This is so awesome!! Most definitely doing this and making matching decor in my living room...thx
Absolutely gorgeous, both of them
Both are amazing and I do love the contrast!!
So beautiful. I can't wait to try this on a vase. The lighter one would go with pottery I used to collect from someone who no longer pots but did beautiful blues and mauves. Awesome!
Love, love the colour combination.
Just wanted to thank you for your wonderful videos. I am a wood turner and I attempted my first pour on a bowl I made. I “turned” out great and all because of your clear directions.
Soo beautiful I can't wait to try this.

I'm the biggest sucker for ceramics with beautiful glaze, and this has such a simar feel but without the need for a kiln and extra fancy supplies. I loooooove this concept and how awesome these are. Keep it up!!
I like the contrast of the black too...very nice
This is effing amazing. I love the black!
I don’t know what I like more! The vase or the canvas. Seriously!! They are Beautiful!!

Simply amazing!
How on earth can any of you give her a thumbs down? Even if you don't like the colors she chose, or chooses in any of her videos, so what, it's the technique, you are learning, use your own colors when you do your own...such hateful people out there.
BEAUTIFUL!!! ❤❤❤
I didn't think it could be done - keeping lines on a vase pour. I thought for sure that everything would just run off. Way cool!
This is just beautiful
You did a very good job. I will use this in my wood turnings.
