Try the New York Toy convention towards Christmas time. Honestly it’s a bit of a madhouse but worth it as it only does the toys for the Christmas season and new year until quarter 2. Usually you find something good that isn’t on sale yet. Last year the make the mutant set was released which unfortunately didn’t sell that well. They did however release a bunch of plushies which did a lot better. Hobby conventions are different as they are different booths for different companies. It’s not the same because no two companies make the same product. It’s just different.
