It's amazing how Jesse's church attendees are always so scared to be "wrong". Their egos are just so strong. They fear to dare say anything that might challenge the status quo. It's amazing to watch.
This hits right at something I noticed at a very young age. People lie to not upset their egos. Everyone does something to get something. You only have attachments to certain people because they give you something. People dance around questions because they don't want to say the truth. Most of the women said family is important because they get something, especially women. People love their children because it's their DNA. None of it is real love. It's no coincidence that women stay closer with family. It's a crutch. Especially daddy if he is around. If you are a child of God is more important. You could be family but if you are wicked I don't care we are blood, if you are a child of God my blood relation to you doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is what is right
If you are a child of God you could be black and you would be my brother. Especially if you didn't trust the government lol. This is coming from a person that isn't ashamed of his in group preference. He white
I admire the way Jesse cuts through the assumptions we all have about our lives, and makes his audience think hard about beliefs. Medicine isn’t always sweet, just necessary.

This is an opinion I’m born again and living well in the Lord but l still get along with my family we enjoy each other’s company and that’s it.
Jesse didn’t say anything about that. He explained that in order to grow you must leave the nest. Get uncomfortable and try new things. He’s saying people need to let go of the mothers tit and live a life. Your comment shows you have some resentment towards your family.

S/O to the people from Dallas Texas.
My mother became Born Again after watching a Billy Graham crusades on tv,through out the cigarettes, and the oxygen tanks, she would go in her bedroom for weeks, depressed, through out the smokes, the tanks, got her driver's license at 62, put the deed up to are local church to expand, and the family rejected her till the day she died at 92, in 2015. I became Born Again on 2/24/05 at 9:01pm and now I have no Friends no family, nobody.

I am glad you finally addressed this issue of men staying with their parents. I have for a while noted this, and I have seen how bad it has affected our nation. I cringe when I read tweets about someone's son living next door or moving in or something like that. My husband, my brother, my stepfather, and numerous other men I know are examples of this and how it affected their marriages.

Just my observation, but when people still think their immediate family is important, I don't think they really went and forgave their mother and father.
Once I went and forgave my mother and father, I really started looking at the world in a different way.
My father never said anything born 1920 quit school in 6th grade to deliver coal to house shoots on his bicycle, through the depression, inlisted WW2, sent to Aluetion Islands, Alaska, as a nurse, never would talk about it. No parades,no celebrating, always had a flag on the front porch. He wanted no military no taps at his funeral thay gave my mother a folded Flag and left.

P.S. Most people are simply using their families/parents for money. It's the things/money that kept the children tied to home. Sure, there are some other benefits. We have to learn to prioritize and become independent.

Jesse, “what is you mean by a clear mind” and “a destroyed devil?” What is it you really mean when you say that? And also, how is it you would know? You still get caught up in thoughts and struggle to remain aware (admittedly). Isn’t that the devil you are referring? I don’t doubt your life has improved through prayer, but why is it you are professing what God can or cannot do without attaining it yourself? @@fourcampsreally9385 if you listen to the church regularly, he will tell stories of how he caught himself in a thought or how a thought tricked him for a period of time then he came back, stuff like that. Not too long ago he used to recant how he is unable to stay aware whilst eating, every time he eats he forgets to remain aware. Not saying that to say anything about him, Jesse is a just a human being like you and I and everyone else.
So, here we have the man whose mission in life is to rebuild the family yet here he is telling his followers that they not only do not need family but they are better off without one. I think someone needs to give Jesse his meds.

Listen to his show, he will do it in a matter of seconds one after the other. He isn’t a fool, not even a quarter of a fool , so why is it he does that? I don’t know, but this type of confusion is totally unnecessary and can end up wreaking a lot of havoc.
