    Nothing in that manual makes sense. Grateful that you made this video. B&D needs to pay you for this

    Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the only person who was able to explain and show step by step assembly of this crazy insulation of this workbench.

    Appreciate this video, the instruction manual was poorly written/illustrated. You video tutorial made the job a piece of cake! Cheers!

    Thank you, this video gives me a great idea of the build quality and design so it's helping me decide if I wanna buy one.

      You are welcome. What I can say is that this works perfect for occasional DIY'ers. The only problem is that the bench is light so you will need to add a weight in the footing if you want to use it to cut long pieces of woods. You can use a 50 lb. bag of sand as additional weight or if you have a paver brick that you can put on top of the foot brace that is a better option. That is my setup now whenever I need to use the bench to hold long pieces of wood.

    I have 2 425s one is over 30 years old and has several mods, the other is new no mads and I just ordered a 125 that replaces one that was stolen from my storage locker. One of the important things that is a no no is using a ratchet to install the bolts, it is real easy to over tighten and ruin the carriage slides.

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  Před rokem

      Thanks for the input. You are correct, it is easy to over tighten when you are not careful with the ratchet.

    Thanks for posting, this saved me a lot of time. Just got 2 of these from Menards for $10 each. Both were missing holes on 1 of the legs for the support bracket. Easily fixed with a little drilling.

      That is a great deal especially you were able to get 2. I wish I had 2 in at least a 3rd of my projects.

    I was very disappointed with B&D assembly instructions. Horribly written and diagramed. I had difficulty with the roll pins. Cotter pins would work and much easier to install. Thank you for the vid. Very helpful. 🎉

    B&D must have outsourced their instruction manual to Satan. _Every_ chance I got to hammer on this thing during assembly was therapy.
    Mine didn't come with roll pins for the handles so it's a quick trip to the hardware store, and looking forward to some more hammering.

      I agree. I got stuck following the instructions and have to watch multiple videos to get it to work so I figure, I should share what I learned.

    Yes the instructions are awful, inaccurate and the figures are so tiny you can’t even see what is up/down in the step 6 block assembly. Shame on B& d.
