This was an amazing opening. Seeing Laver, Newcombe, Graf, Sampras, legends old and new really gives you chills and the sense of history of the tournament.
It's some generic music which ESPN has used to cover all 4 grand slams up until this past year. They've now gone with something else. But this tune has been with them since about 2000 I believe.
It's definitely the best intro ever!
I think what I love about this is that it's the first slam of the season. So it just gets you in the mood again for tennis

Great intro but all sports related intros and themes are cheesy. It is sports, not holy war and sacrifice.
