Ingredients for Saffron Rice or Saffron Pulao
Basmati Rice - 2 cups (soaked for 30 min)
2 pinches saffron strands soaked in 2 - 3 tbsp hot milk
Ghee - 2 - 3 tbsp or as needed
Cashew nuts & raisins, as needed
Whole spices : (bay leaf, cardamom - 3, cloves -4, cinnamon stick -1", peppercorns - 1/4 tsp)
Onion - 1 medium sliced
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp or as per taste
Hot water - 3 cups
