Ya gotta remember too... it wasn't just AFTER his Mom passed away that he didn't have her... Nate didn't have her for how many years even leading up to her passing?!? And I would wager, even when she was there, she wasn't... whether it was because she was using and was there, but wasn't OR couldn't find anything, feeling like death couldn't be much worse, and was there, but wasn't... Recovering addict myself here so Ik all about that... however I was one of the blessed ones who made it out the other side alive... it took a Princess bein born and Gods grace and mercy, but here I am... and Lord willin', never wrapping those chains around myself again 🙏🏼 There is Hope, as Nate so beautifully sings, and that Hope's name is Jesus... His voice and flow Is the beat. Awesome
“If healing makes you stronger, I’m the weakest”, was the lyric-it sounds like feeling, but healing definitely makes more sense for him. This song changed the direction of my life because of the last 3 words-“Can’t Remain Afraid”-I stopped letting fear keep me from doing new things and even moved to a new state!!
The lyric is actually feeling, not healing, although both make sense to me. Think back to Paralyzed, which is a great tie-in from this bar.

Love the content! Though I will say I questioned your decision to tell your audience that feeling safe is a lie, kind of spreading a negative mindset that is open for interpretation based on personal context.
its just reality. safety is a fallacy. Every time you step out of the house, you're at the will of odds and statistics.
@@FlawdTV well I guess it depends on what you determine to be “safety”. In the literal definition yeah, but I think the song is more referring to emotional safety with people and the world around you. Being at peace for someone with mental illness feels like it’s unrealistic, but it is attainable. Also feeling safe and literally being perfectly physically safe are two different things.
