Flawd is right.
I say this as a huge Stan. Some Eminem fans want it both ways. They want people to gas some of the early songs that often had more of what we saw in this verse. Riding the beat, sounds dope, a vibe and energy that was just identifiably as peak Eminem. But they also want to gas newer Eminem which sometimes lacks some of those elements but technically and lyrically is usually on another level to the point lots of songs have little to no wasted bars.
You can like both. You can enjoy both. You can't want him to get credit for the latter and then violently disagree when people point out just facts about earlier songs. You can't want him to get credit for the earlier music and how it hit and then violently disagree when people point out that the beat is lacking or they don't love the constant staccato flow or the off beat rhyming, etc.
I love both. I prefer the more technically sound modern em that has mastered lyricism when I put nostalgia aside but then I have to admit that a song like this that I LOVE, lacks a bit in that respect while having other shit that modern Em often lacks

I think people love this Em verse because it rides the beat so perfectly.
But yâall are right, the bars arenât his best in this verse. The flow and cadence makes it dope but his other work is so out of this world that his personal bar is set super high with doubles and triples and punchlines.

Neither of them had bars on this. So if you are going to compare them, you have to go to the next metric, which would be technical ability. Which would go in ems favor. Neither of them had anything to say, it was just a warning track that they used to hype each other up

the story on how this song was made is even crazier.. em literally built the beat around 50s melodic cadence. when em sent him the beat it was still bare bones had only snare and kick. 50 came up with that whole cadence and shit himself and em made the rest around that. legend

Honestly, this is just a song to hype 50 up. You can't really look at it as a versus cus all Em did was be a hype man for 50 in a short verse... and honestly, 50 didn't try going hard either, just saying hard shit to Amp you up but it still gets me feeling some type of way listening to it haha. He was absolutely not saying 50 is coming and that's it. Em was speaking specifically to Murder Inc giving them a warning. They missed that entirely. In my opinion Em definitely destroyed this song. He wasn't trying to wash 50, it was his artist somewhat he just did enough to edge him out.

I know Crypt made a video not long ago about this and it shows the rhyme schemes and everything from the song and Eminem said like 200 words and rhymed like 160 of the words. There was no filler in this at all

Imo the reason people gas up eminem is because he rhymes as much as he can. And his classic flow/cadence makes it sound so good. That's why I think it's fair to say he mostly rhymes a lot without saying much. He didn't really start using crazy multiple entendres and shit til after recovery

The difference is that Em purposefully wrote a verse where he wasn't going full speed to have 50 shine. He's known for doing this when he does certain features for his artists.

For me the uzi through the izuzu and playing sick saying shit bars.....i think how well the syllables lock in are very important. Thats the impressive part. Its not all about robotic overcomplicated punchlines for me. In fact, i find it extra impressive. Flawd just listens to rap diffrent than me.
