    So he calls people highbrow because people have standards when it comes to his movies. People are tired of the constant negative stereotypes of black people he loves to show in his films. He never shows the love of the black family

    All his movies outside 2 or 3 are literally the same film with different cast. There's so much to the black experience and Spike Lee did a great job showing the depth and nuance in our community.

      Tyler Perry appeals to black females because black females control most of the "Black dollar" which is worth 1.3 trillion dollars. If black men controlled most of the "Black dollar," in which the system of WS will not allow black men to do, we would have a plethora of Black Wall Streets across the USA.

    We just want Tyler Perry's movies to have a realistic twist to where he can depict positive images of black men. Every movie he made involves black women being the protagonist while the black man is always the antagonist. His images feed into the perception of how black women and the white race want to see black men. I think his movies add more fuel to the fire when it comes to depicting black men and black women in a dysfunctional marriage which is ungodly.

    Highbrow? They're almost the exact same scenarios. Not that I didn't mind the first set of movies, but after that, they started to sound the same and have the same religious meaning at the end. He fails to realize he's going to have detractors regardless of his movies or TV shows. Sounds like he's become the highbrow if he can't take a littke criticism.

    @dwood78part23 Před měsícem +5

    I always found him to be a major disappointment as a film maker & writer. As a film maker &/or writer, you suppose to grow as as such. But I haven't seen Perry mature in either. As a result, we're seeing the same things all over again in his productions. But the fact that he's billionaire proves that one can sadly make a lot of money selling lies & victimhood to BW.
    & it also shows the importance of New Black Media- too many FBA in Hollywood have sold out to those who only interested in seeing us in a stereotypical box- rather than a balanced view of the FBA experience.

    • @AnaAcuraErica
      @AnaAcuraErica Před měsícem

      He didn’t sell me any lies and victim hood as I could’ve sworn I was just simply watching a soap opera type movie. I think u people just need to carry on instead of over criticizing and btw TP has grown as an artist and I do appreciate he doesn’t have people wearing crazy hairdos anymore. But I agree with TP - if he listens to all y’all naysayers- he wouldn’t be able to be proud of his work! At this point- it’s probably best to calm down the criticism bcus he could be a type of man that does the opposite of what people tell him to do - because he can! But this movie was engaging the entire time. Most directors would love for people to say that and have the masses watch his film - even with criticism! Watch you watch the next one 😐

      Tyler makes money churning out chitlin circuit stories, which usually run BM thru the ringer. His dad abused his mom, so he uses these films as his own therapy, to constantly show abusive, domineering BM. Basically the modern version of Mister from The Color Purple.
      Clearly, WS/✡️ elites in Hollywood prefer these degrading stories. We see how movies like The Birth of a Nation and The Banker were conveniently undermined right before release, by going after the director or in the case of The Banker, the son of primary character the movie was depicting. Yet they’ll force “The Woman King” BS in your face. When that crap flopped, it was all up on Netflix not too long after, which is rare. I watched half of it just to analyze it, but I turned it off half way thru. Way too much anti-BM and pro-BW agenda.

    I really don't see the appeal of Tyler's films. Dull, repetitive, cheap, and extremely revolting. The characters are cardboard cutouts instead of real people, the plots are uninspired with sermons instead of giving characters the ability to evolve through the challenges they contend with throughout the storyline. The comedy in Tyler's films are flat in detail with poor execution.
