Shots fired at Gareth Southgate!!
Straight up facts.

England 6 Iran 2 🥳
England 3 Wales 0 🥳🍿
this makes the ~400.000 spectators at the US Grand Prix even more crazy by numbers
Exactly and to think that about 300.000 of them were either sitting on the goround or their own chairs.
But to be fair there were like 500.000 people at the Silverstone GP in 2017 wich is even craizier
@@supingo3339 these numbers are for the whole weekend including Thursday. Silverstone has roughly 125k spectators on Raceday
@@jonamittelhammer3399 oh...my bad didnt know
Those weren't race day numbers
@@singularityraptor4022 I can't speak for Silverstone, but those are actual race day attendance numbers at Indy Motor Speedway. The grandstands officially seat over 257 thousand, plus there is space for well over 100 thousand spectators inside the oval on the infield, including their RVs and tents and lawn chairs and all that stuff. That total does not include any IMS employees or race team staff, nor does it include the hundreds of thousands of people tailgating outside the gates. On Indy 500 race day, there can be close to a million people within walking distance of the track.
You know you’re watching good content when six minutes passes, the video is ending and you think, is that all?!? Fantastic video, as usual! Thank you!!

Omg absolutely true .

Penalties. Why did it have to be penalties?
Init. Ouch man.
Hell yeah 😎
@@harbl99 Because it ALWAYS has to be penalties. It's the English Curse.
(I still say that I would've preferred Henderson to Saka as the #5 because of experience. But hey, at least the shots were on target. And I won't even fault that one off the post. I'd rather lose to a save than a souvenir for Row Q)
They day that hurts England.
When planning Texas motor speedway, there were plans for half a million seats. But the logistics of moving nearly 3x as many people in and out in an emergency proved too costly and difficult. So it settled on 180k.
I live close to it and difficult doesn’t even begin to describe the traffic on race weekend. Them trying to double that figure for spectators is just evil. Especially since they haven’t started on the highway in front of it.
I find it hard to believe anyone in texas cares about safety or protocols haha
@@VinceroAlpha and now they barely draw 60k
They almost certainly could have accomplished that with buses or trains, but convincing a Texan not to drive his needlessly large pickup truck is an exercise in futility.

Just because it's less than Delhi doesn't mean there is no pollution.
I feel you always squeeze a little bit of Melbourne into your videos to please your loyal viewers here, haha. It is noticed and appreciated!
This is when I started to like architecture: football stadia. So beautiful, hard to make and even today, we can find some unusual design. For example, the Agia Sophia Stadium in Athens, set to be opened next summer, is based on Byzantine architecture.
Same thing here. When people ask me what got me to become an architect, the answer is simple: stadiums!
Yeah Football STADIA's are really cool.

I was extremely worried Motorsport stadiums wouldn't be mentioned. I was thrilled by the end of the video. Been to Indianapolis Motor Speedway a handful of times. The Indy 500 is truly an event to attend, if nothing else, for the track experience.
@CZcamsrs fan And dj too Yes, plus numerous others. NASCAR also ran the Brickyard 400 on the oval there for years, and is now running the Verizon 200 on the road course. That place is truly historic. Every event held there is a spectacle to behold, but the Indy 500 is in a class of its own.
I've never been to a large scale motorsport event like that, but Indianapolis does look fascinating! How can people tolerate the incredible amount of sun and heat in that venue though? doesn't look like there's much shade there.
@@envoy3 Very true as far as the infield grandstands. I guess most fans just have their own way of dealing with the heat. You have to keep an eye on the people around you, make sure they aren't getting dehydrated either.
@@envoy3 It does get hot, but nothing some sunscreen and a hat won't take care of. I like the infield because you can use an umbrella if it really gets that hot. Including the infield ($35 GA ticket), the track has a capacity around 350,000 people - totally worth attending at least once in your life

Shout out to my home town Hobart making it into The B1M!
Should have given the Circus Maximus some pub during the raceways section as you did for the Colosseum during the stadium section, it truly was the forbearer for those venues.

Stop calling Modi stadium the biggest CRICKET stadium, it's the biggest stadium in general, now that Pyongyang confirmed they have 114000 instead of 150000

Indian stadium is superb
Love that little Montreal Olympic Stadium acknowledgment about being the tallest: kinda but not really. Well done B1M!
It is the tallest. It actually has a meaning for its structural integrity unlike the London tower. It's funny how a useless arch that actually does nothing for the stadium is to him more valid as being apart of the structure than a tower that holds up the freaking roof on the Montreal stadium. How is this even comparable? Oh right, B1 lives in the UK. ;) #Bias
@@cat6926 also, the tower has a pool under it, with seating making it technically a stadium, and at the top there is a a tennis court

I could watch you talk about anything. Also, as a Portland resident I appreciate the multiple shots of Portland and the Timbers
As an Oregonian, I'm gratified to see footage of both of my home state's major sports teams (Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Timbers) playing in their respective stadiums (Moda Center, Providence Park) within the first 15 seconds of this video. Thank you.
I love these videos where airports in a previous B1M video and stadia in this case are put into context. true marvels of engineering and make them seem even bigger than what they already are

As always, quality is on top of expectations.

I loved the dry humour that’s in this video. The B1M is always interesting and a must watch for me but the addition of wry humour made me smile and that’s always good. Thank you.
Interesting take but I wish it was longer. I could watch this all day.
I work for a construction product manufacturer in a junior marketing role. I was getting bored and uninspired working in this industry however when I discovered this channel around a year ago it inspired me to develop a whole new digital plan for the company and I now want to make a career in the build environment field. Woah woah woah, I came here for education not a barbecue
The first time I went to Wembley Stadium 🏟 I was dizzy at the size of the inside of the whole stadium, and was so surprised that it's actually built into the ground, so from ground level it actually goes down like a pit, and the atmosphere it creates is absolutely immense 😁⚽😘
Similar to the MCG as well then regarding the ground level actually being above the pitch itself.
Was cool seeing Heinz Field included at the end
Very Anglocentric argument to say the tower holding the roof of Montreal's Stade Olympique doesn't qualify for height because it's "not part of the structure" but the arch holding Wembley Stadium's roof does? Please... One of these two is actually built into the structure of the stadium and it's not the one in England.
The whole video is basically about English speaking countries.

The banter in these list videos is unreal :D
That Olympic Stadium in Montreal is really something and the archived story of the build is even more impressive and I think twice the roof crumble down
Could you do a video on most interesting roof structures/mechanisms?
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with it's iris on rails roof, might not be biggest or tallest, but it deserves a spot on a list.
Largest amateur sport stadium in the world: Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland. Capacity: 82,300
College football in the US is technically amateur and several of their stadia are larger than Croke Park.
It’s a somewhat dubious claim anyway. You could play any sport at an amateur level in any big stadium and claim it’s the biggest amateur stadium.
Furthermore, isn’t professional sport technically banned in communist North Korea so that stadium in Pyongyang trumps Croke Park.
@@lawrenceporter8389 Hi Lawrence,
American football is not an amateur sport nor are American Colleges amateur. I do see your point but I think that the american college system is a well know stepping stone to the NFL and therefore could not be considered 100% amateur.
The GAA that runs and owns Croke Park are a completely amateur organisation - there is no professional equivalent of the sport anywhere in the world. The stadium has been built and maintained by the members, gate receipts and government grants. It is widely recognized as the largest amateur stadium in the world.
peace!

Always love your content, brilliant video!
I like that seamless transition.
Speed skating stadiums!
Roof structures changed the world of speedskating. Because the tracks are 400 meter long (indoor athletics is only 200 meter), it was first difficult to make a roof.
Now the tracks are indoor, which makes it possible to have better ice contidions. All because of bigger roof constructions
2:07 Beautiful, beautiful rendering!
Loved seeing Heinz Field in Pittsburgh at the end of the video! May not be as great as these other stadiums but has the best views of Pittsburgh!
Love seeing Pittsburgh even for a second in your videos.
Whenever I look at amazing ancient structures like the pyramids, I think "there's no way people would build something that over-the-top just for a fancy tomb"... but then I realize the huge over-the-top structures like sports stadiums that we build just to watch some guys play a game with a ball.
You should make a video about the refurbishment of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. It's amazing
Any chance of doing a series on stadiums as this was quite fascinating
