I can't believe I was alive and didn't know about Mick and the boys touring, esp. Copacabana. Thanks ever so much for making my 78th year of life BE SO MUCH FUN! 😊❤
No one comes close to them. 👅👅👅👅💨💨💨💨💨
My wife and I were there! Thank you Stones!
What a voice, how thick and deep with undertones, on pitch, fro from a sixty something year old man. And Watts level of groove, his snare backbeat, listen to the solidness and placement. This is an amazing performance from the whole band.
Now age 80 and still has his voice and now “ Hucknall diamonds “ the way it’s teasing is absolutely genius, the energy they keep on giving is something to be grateful for they need our( fans) love and respect ❤❤️✨✨✨✨✨✨🔥💥
I thought as well, that what we heard as samples was actually pretty well played

RIP Charlie. Rolling Stones forever.
The Rolling Stones is a Gift to the world. I'm grateful 🙏
The best time to be alive is to be alive during the Stones lives.
So true 😅, fellow Rocker!
Life did suck hard al the way to WW2 and after that war life in western countries started to bloom and we had plenty of everything. Sure there was also poverty
and wars going on, but that didn't affect the majority of us, so life went on being great all the way to the year 2000, because since then life started to suck again
and it's going to suck even harder by every day that passes, so i'm soooooo glad that i was born in the mid 60' and lived my youth, the best years that is, through
the 80's and 90's, and i wouldn't want to swap my youth for any other decade before or after those two magical decades, and the Stones were always there, so
i can't even imagine a life without them because again, they were already there before i came around the bend, so they are practicaly family.
And they and their generation, so my parents aswell, were all born shortly after WW2, so they all live and lived in the best periods of time this planet has ever seen!
Inst just great to be English.x
you forgott the 70's@@ronniedoorzon1576
Shall we say Stone Age?
The most incredible music event in HUMAN HISTORY! Three TIMES the size of Woodstock! incredible.
I've been to Rio, they'll gather for anything especially the pickpockets

But not the biggest. Moscow 1991 was.
Yes, what must i say, great, great, greatest band ever
Proud and proud Rolling stones forever!❤
The Rolling Stones, forever. ... 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🎸🎸🎸🎵🎼📻🎙️🎤🎶
I've been a fan since I was twelve years old,I heard the song brown sugar and that's all it took. I'm 62 now, and I have seen them live twice. What an experience ❤❤❤ There will never be another band like them.
Same. 'Brown Sugar' and 'Honky Tonk Woman' was played at every school dance. 'It's Only Rock n Roll' is another one of my faves. I didn't realize until a few years ago that 'Time' came out when I was 4. Or that a lot of their great songs were made before I was 10.
@@teenapittman4241 this is one time in my life where I can say" luckily I am nearly 73 and I remember them when thy started" I have seen them once on the Voodoo lounge tour, and Kieth ran along the front and slapped my hand. My claim to fame 🤓
@@hypnoraythompson5824 I live near New Orleans and when they played the Superdomes very first concert, it was sold out within days. And back then you had to physically go get a ticket. I wasn’t there but I was told that the whole arena was full, wall to wall. There were no portions closed off, like they do now. An iconic band for sure and I’m glad to have heard them from the beginning. I still occasionally run across one of their songs I haven’t heard.

Incredible!!!! Awesome 👏
These guys are heroes! I went to their show in Bangalore in 2003 and they played in spite of pouring rain!!! Simply superb professionalism!
I've got the DVD when this first came out, I was blown away at the way the speakers and video monitors were synced by the speed of sound. I had never heard of anything like that before. I always was fascinated by watching a guitar getting plucked and a second later hearing the sound way in the back
Yes, a monster production :)
There are some people here in the comment section stating that Rod Stewart's show at that same Copacabana Beach was bigger. In fact there were more people in Copacabana the night he sung there. But that's that's just part of the story. I mean Rod presented himself as the main act among other singers in one of the several shows organized by the Rio the Janeiro government to celebrate new year's Eve. On those celebrations is a common occurence the gathering of 2 plus million people in Copacabana Beach. So, the public to which Rod sung would be there anyway.
For that reason, to be fair, as a single act, not conected to any celebration nor other artists, Stone's show should be considered bigger because people that attended to it went to Copacabana in that occasion exclusevely to see them.
Hope this helps to clarify the public numbers matter.
Thanks
Well, Rod's always looking for attention - or another blonde! 🤣
It was also huge. I was in both cause my apartament is a few blocks from the Copacabana Palace.
We had memorable events at the beach!
I think that rod has the rigth to be proud because is the bigest number of people in Copacabana ever. But l agree, is not the same situation
O melhor concerto do Rock do Brasil !! As lendas the Rollings Stones !! Beleza.
I remember listening to satisfaction in my driveway on someones radio in the 60s and I was just a kid in Connecticut with a love for music and art and all the good things about our generation had going and to see this after Charlies Passing . The world has been blessed by having these guys around for as long as they have. No not even the Beatles can surpass them.
The Beatles and the Stones are arguably the 2 greatest bands of all time. Of course its subjective. The Stones longevity is incredible and they have many great songs that u dont hear on the radio. I think Jagger and Richards are underrated as songwriters. The Beatles are the biggest explosion in music history ( Beatlemania). At one point they had the top 5 songs in the country simultaneously. Never happened before or since. And these guys knew each other in the early sixties, crazy.
I had the privilege of seeing The Stones live in Austin TX on 10-22-2006, and they were phenomenal! 🎶❤️
Of course. My guys rock.👅👅👅👅💨💨💨💨💨
Didn't know they got more than a million in that concert. That's amazing!!!!!

I've loved the Stones since first hearing them in 1963, at age 15. I've seen them many times. I'm 75 now and I love them still.
Their live performances were always just as good as the records, or even better. They have always given 100% to every performance. This one was awesome beyond awesome.
RIP Brian and now Charlie. 😍😍😍🇬🇧🇬🇧😍
I saw them in 1978 in Oakland on Mick's birthday. Insanely fabulous day and show. And then in 2002 in San Francisco. That's it. Both great shows.
60 years on stage and The Stones are still Rocking IORR

And there banks. 👅👅👅👅👅💨💨💨💨💨
The best band in the World! 🌎 🎸
Completely agree with you... Greetings from Croatia Tanja 💯👍
They continue to do great shows, sadly now without Charlie but this bands legacy's massive. No one else like them ❤
The shows aren't great without Charlie Watts.
They weren’t great with charlie either🤣 this band has been washed up for 30 years let it go
Mick Taylor & Brain Jones were huge losses too
@@jasonlynn1017 The biggest loses are Charlie and Bill. They were the intangible piece to what really moved the music. Without them we are really just talking about an amazing front man working with his previously amazing, but now very pedestrian, guitarist partner charging ridiculous prices for glories gone by.
@@jimreplicant
Agree. Their era ended in 2000. They were good in the late 1990s as I attended 2 of their concerts then

Lembro das propagandas na TV desse show, na época meu tio gravou um CD dos Stones para eu escutar e conhecer a banda... memorável.
Charlie Watts on that opening number is right on it , awesome
Seen them around 7 times.. Brilliant every time.. First time being at Knebworth in 76.. Only seen then in Britain tho
Saw them 19 times since 1989 , all in New York, though, except for one show in Vegas-2019
75 yrs old and attracting millions, says a lot about the music
Fantastic
I love the S American/Latina audiences, they get so emotionally involved. So lively and appreciative of the band. This was 100% evident of Stones gig in Cuba, the cameras panned into the crowds showing their joy and spirit. From the band's pov it must've been a thrill beyond all to have such a massive crowd there.

What a privilege to hear the Stones! After so many years of solid crowd entertainment, they are still going strong and show incredible energies !!! Hats of Stones ! 💋 💋 💋
I've got to say, as a citizen of the U. S. A., the South American crowds seem to be the most enthusiastic at Stones shows.

Amazing how many generations they have performed for. I was a teenager when they started up, and this was 2006, and they are still going in 2023 - WOW. And the crowd didn't fight and act like morons. That being said, RIP Charlie Watts. ❤❤
One million of good vibrations toghether, just crazy!!!
People born in the 1870s listened to the Rolling Stones in the 1960s. Soon babies born in the 2020s will understand they listened to a Rolling Stone song.
Saw them in 1967 when I was 16. Still amazing.
Here we go again 💥
Back on the road for another Tour
in 2024 - Mick may be 80 now, but he's still jumping like Jack Flash.
Okay that was the Best Band Energy and Unity that I've EVER seen and heard from the rolling stones. The CROWD brought that out of them. The synergy between band and crowd is VITAL to the best performances. This was the Best...and I saw Live Aid...and I was in Munich for Steel Wheels...to name a couple really good performances. I very always super enjoyed the uniqueness when Keith Richard's goes for a lead...it's NEVER the same...it's a tiny emblem of crowd and band dynamics...Keith is the true barometer in my opinion...how he does his leads...that's how I tell. Plus...Keith has stage moves...moxy as they say...so many things to analyze with this band
🌎 BRASIL : Sensational!! Such a beautiful country deserved this record of having placed almost 2 million people on the beach to see the greatest rock n roll acts. And they were fans from all over Brazil and other countries. Having received the Rolling Stones in Copacabana, plus 03 other tours, was a gift from God. I had the possibility to see the Stones 5 times in my life. The best band ever. I just have to say thank you.
❤Love you Rolling Stones🎉
I love this show forever! 😍🎶🎶🎶
Stones + Brazil = Perfect match !
I was there. It was fucking awesome! One simply could not see where the crowd of people ended. Additionally, what cannot be seen in this video or any other video of this event is that all the access streets to the main road where the beach is were also completely taken over by people. I think it was more close to 2 million than 1.5 millon people there. When I was younger I used to go to Copacabana to spend the new year´s eve very often, where it usually easily exceeds 2 million people and this concert was just as impressive.
Was in Philadelphia for Rolling Stones Concert, about 90,000 people. We Rick and I were right up front at stage. When Stones came on people rushed forward in waves smashing us against the fence. Rick was paraplegic in wheelchair and had to be lifted over fence for protection I went with him as support person. But other than that it was an amazing show, sound was perfect as I remember like listening to a record at home ; ) Over 15 times! Philadelphia concert is difficult to imagine. Its all good.
I got crushed at a free concert in Hyde Park (not The Rolling Stones). After this I always book a seat to avoid crushing! I saw The Rolling Stones 6 times : in Wembley, x2 , Twickenham , O2, Cardiff Wales, M

Only The Stones!! Almost 2 million people!!! Just incredible! I feel so fortunate to have seen them live, and to have lived in the same time.
The Rolling Stones are incredible. 60 years think about it. I’m 62 and back in the day I wasn’t the biggest Stones fan, but I have come to appreciate their music and what they mean to Rock and Roll. Like the WHO, Elton John, Bryan Ferry and Frank Sinatra I think every artist that can continue to create and perform should by all means do it. I’ve seen all these acts in their heyday and later in life and I enjoyed every performance.
