My father still play it, with Dirt 3 on PS3

Despite DiRT 2 being released in 2009, the graphics even today looks incredible! Codemasters were masters in racing games. So many memories!
I gave you a like only because Collin McRae Dirt 2 really was a great game, but it doesn't look "incredible"(fucking superlative, we cant say anything without them, are we?). It just look very nice even today.
@@ryutenmen I highly highly disagree, also explain what you mean by "superlative" because dudes definitely not saying the game looks better than todays time nor is he over exaggerating you need to chill. And honestly ALL of them look really good for their time, Codemasters really had good engines to work with. I don't think you've seen enough game engines cause some of them are definitely budget tight, lol but by NO MEANS does it make it a bad game (some say that bs). And for the love of hardware stop comparing apples to oranges negatively, obviously today's games will be more graphically advanced, doesn't make old hardware instantly bad and ugly.
Best in the series imo.

Dirt 2 was the best… and the first ones are nostalgic… the rest are meh… Dirt 4 and 5 are horrible…

You mean racing on tracks? It took away all the beauty of rallyi races and turned it into some boring F1 instead
@vieri031 Did you play Dirt 2? You know, Trailblazer discipline, Rally Discipline, Rally Raid discipline where it wasn't closed circuits but rather trails and roads?
Dirt rally 2.0 is the best rally experience I ever had by far !!!

RBR is so overrated. Even with physics and graphics mods it's apparent that it's a 20yr old game. The only good about it is that it's free and it has a lot of custom maps
i played all the games, that's how I'm able to make an assesment. RBR is above all. dirt is an arcade@@DecibelAlex
@@acidspit14 Don't smoke weird things bro, Dirt Rally 2.0 isn't arcade at all. And what's wrong if it is? Arcades aren't worse, sometimes are even more fun than simulators, specially elitists simulators like RBR.

Colin Mcrae Rally 3 was my childhood, it had the best soundtrack and the details of the damage to the car was incredible.

I think Dirt 3 was excellent, I come back to it from time to time.

I haven't been able to find a game in it but I still play it to this day. I just wish Dirt 2 was brought to the backwards compatibility program for Xbox.

Am I the only one who as a kid thought Nicky Grist was saying ‘McCrest’? Even when I got a bit older and found out that ‘…crest’ is a normal co-driver call, I still had it in my head that it was still ‘McCrest’ given 90s-2000s Codemasters’ penchant for putting a sneaky little hidden message in their games somewhere.
That would have only made a bit of sense if there were more things in the game with ‘Mc-‘ added at the beginning of the word 😂

Really happy Codemasters got the WRC license. One more year to wait for a good rally game made by Codies...

Colin McRae 2.0, Dirt 2 and Dirt Rally 2.0 are the best ones imo, although i enjoyed playing every one of them up until dirt 4

Ah yes colin mcrae rally 2005 the first game I ever played. Still have it with my favourite console the ps2. It was also my dads and yes it still has his times on the memory card!

Collin Mcrae 2005 was my childhood playing in XBOX pure nostalgia and now Dirt 2.0 is the best I have ever played, very good experience, physics, driving and the AI is very challenging.
cmr2.0 was love in first sight, graphics, ui design, music still an absolute masterpiece
I played the DS version of Dirt 2 on my DS Lite and I recognize that map, the zoo york landrush iirc. Man I miss my DS.

Loved Colin 04, because it had this tire damage model where you have to look after your tires or they blew up. Also Dirt 1, the good old time where every game was blurry and sephia :D

DiRT Rally 2.0 still the highest peak in audio design and car realism, also when compared to WRC and Richard Burns.
edit: i also played DiRT4 and DiRT Rally, but i played a lot more DiRT3 on my 1st ever PC when i was a teenager.
Coming from all the ps1 Colin McRae games, Rally Cross, Grand Turismo and ToCA games when i was a kid :)

when i was like 8 my dad still had his old Xbox with collin McRae 04, i don't know why but i always used to be scared of that game when we would play it together, looking back i would play it so badly...
First 4 games were my go to in terms of racing games.

Colin McRae Rally / DIRT series never made a bad game, at least the big ones were all at least decent (top down mobile was quite good also btw), but i have to say i hold CMR 2.0 in highest regard. For some sick reason i prefer PSX version (i like it's low pixel visuals more), but overall i think of it as just perfect mix of arcade and light sim, with awesome tracks and cars.
There are more rally games that i like almost as much like WRC 4 on ps2 (not to mistake with one on ps3), Rally Challenge 2 on OG Xbox, V-Rally 4, DIRT Rally and even Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo - but CMR 2.0 has to be my number one, which is even more funny considering that i think the same about Gran Turismo 2 which is overall my favourite game. And yes i do play every above and many others on daily basis, no nostalgia here, because as a kid i had couple games only.

HUGE differance since 1998 - 2000 to 2002. Dirt 2.0 from 2009 looks good even now. New games are not so better than those from 2, 3, or 5 years ago. Now we need huge computing power to even small changes in graphics. McRae 2000 was my favorite game back than and it aged well
If that Colin Mcrae 2.0 for GBA isn't an amazing achievement, idk what is.
