I can never forget the date of this explosion because on that day around 8.00am my next door neighbours were involved in a road accident in Cullompton Devon their way on holiday. My neighbour & her 15 month old son were killed & her husband badly injured.
Fifty years on I still remember seeing them setting off on the Friday evening looking forward to their holiday. Always remember you Vera & Andrew❤❤
A very sad day for you. RIP
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
Just started on British rail when this happened.
Very good. Superior to much more highly viewed ones.
Thanks for the nice comment
Very well researched and informative. A+ material! Why would somebody steal a memorial statue? Disgraceful.
There are some right scumbags. Thanks for the nice comments.
Hard to believe it's that long ago. We were in Cleethorpes on a day out and thought it was thunder till we joined the traffic queues passing through on the way home. It was horrific!
Yes. Probably explains why most people have never heard of this accident. One of the reasons I do this channel - so people don't forget. Thanks for watching.
Great channel concept
Despite if being the biggest peacetime explosion I apparently slept right through it in my pram on the Riddings estate of Scunthorpe
That is some acheivement! My in-laws heard it in Hull 20 miles away. Thanks for watching.
