- Pinched Nerve In Neck (3 Exercises for Cervical Radiculopathy) - Dr. Walter Salubro Chiropractor in Vaughan, ON
If you're experiencing pain from a pinched nerve in your neck, there are two exercises you can do that may help relieve the pain. A pinched nerve is a common name used to describe cervical radiculopathy; compression or irritation of cervical spinal nerve that gives pain, numbness, or tingling in to the arm, forearm, hand or fingers. These two exercises are great for stretching the neck and relieving pressure on the pinched nerve in the neck.

I appreciate you getting straight to the exercises. Most videos start with 8 minutes of science class, then 30 seconds of actual help.

Right! Main reason why I wasn’t so quick to do a bunch of invasive stuff. Are you supplementing with magnesium?
I went to do heart work post the situation. Yday i did the laser surgery for c4/5,5/6,6/7 and got the pinched nerve and disk sorted. I cud sleep well in hospital but once home it was just like before, the pressure on the hand and the pain. Tingling, numbness took over. This makes me think, maybe need to change the bed on priority. Maybe a recliner might be helpful…

Thank you! This is a nice start for me. I’ve been dealing with this for 3 years and have been passed from doctor to doctor with different theories for what is occurring but am now realizing this could be the cause for my tingling and lack of shoulder stability
I’m a heavy side sleeper. Now I’ve started sleeping on my back and the pain has all but gone away. Going to try these exercises also.

Incredible
:)
Keeping this info
Based on experience, the simplest is just stand up, look up as much as you can, and bend your back a little. Do this only 1 or 2 minutes in the beginning.
The Nerve Floss did wonders 👍
The best.
Hello sir very good informative video but I want to know can fits occur in neck due to pinched nerve in neck
nice one man. Esp liked nerve floss
Glad you enjoyed
Hello!
How long should we hold a strech (at least) and how slow/fast should be the movement of the exercises introduced here? Thank you!
Normal movement pace, not fast, Knoxville,. Hold stretch 10 seconds. Repeat three times. This is the protocol I give to my patients.
@@DrWalterSalubroThanks, doc! :)
I have a bad cervical radiculopathy pain. Flowing from right side neck, shoulder blade to arm. With weakness in arm and right leg. Kindly let me know how to recover. The pain has been real bad
Extremely helpful. Thank you sir!
Glad it was helpful!
I need to know how to and how not to sleep. I fear the bed the most.
Hey buddy. Sound stupid but hug a pillow with your arms down near your belly. Stops your shoulders bunching up and the neck getting tighter. A chiro told me to do it. It's not fix but it helps. Good luck. 👍
Same here, thinking about the night time and sleeping causes anxiety because that's when I deal with the pain the most
See if you can get a cervical pillow after consulting an expert (they will know which size is best for you). Also, check ergonomics.
Does this cure it or will it take time? I get numbness in my hands and fingers quite bad it wakes me up at night because of my job..?
It’s like the last one will quickly force the nerve back into position if it got pinched from it being dislocated from an awkward moment! :)
What if the numbness and tingling goes down all the way to the lower back and legs too?
i was squating w weights & almost lost my balance backwards, but i leaned forward too correct it, which i shouldve just dropped the weight 🤦♀️🤦♀️ there was no pain at the time til a week later.. i thought i had a herniated disk but the xrays found nothing. i have bad neck pain at the end of the day, my hair never hurt my neck being put up in a bun now i cant handle it... idk if i should see a chiropractor instead
what can i do about massive pain from Degenerative disk disease?
Do you know how long it will take for the tingling and numbness to go away?
