Another great video. Thank you all!
Roman: "The Land Rover Defendant is the only truck that didn't scrape."
Yeah, but you only bought the other 5 trucks once. lol
Yes finally this is what we want. Not the parking lot reviews.
Yes👍👍👍 Finally.
Yes
TFL at the office. Does not get any better than a couple days out on the trails with your crew that you call friends. :) An epic logistical shooting and editing to come. Look forward to the final content. Thanks TFL for all the efforts you make.
Of the three trucks, only with the Jeep Gladiator did they immediately move forward after reaching the bottom. Very nice.
When are you going to desert run the Raptor and TRX? These companies wanted to build factory prerunner trucks, that’s how they advertise them minus the super small “do not attempt” . Let’s see some Baja style prerunning!
Learned from some friends that prerunning is not as easy as it looks. Like any motorsports it does require skill to get it done and if amateurs drivers were to be filmed doing it down a dirt road would look very underwhelming and slow. Maintaining 60mph in the desert on a loose surface with varying compressions and impacts while having to load and unload front and rear suspension using throttle and brakes to compensate all while timing it. That's a hand full.
@@mikehub6664 exactly! True prerunners are monsters compared to these trucks. What are these trucks built for?
@@BaconCruiser you can do some in these trucks but it just requires skills that the TFL team is lacking. If TFL got a desert driver to show is capabilities it would be better than them driving it. My friend does dirt bike desert racing and has a raptor. He has a bit more understanding of how to deal with the desert floor. It's unnerving how fast these truck can go in the desert. Way faster and more stable than a stock truck. If you know what your doing you can hit some pretty big stuff in these truck. Woops are scary and washboards, truck wonders more than I'm comfortable with haha.
@@BaconCruiser well ford does race their raptors in real races.
Ford actually races their trucks on the baja1000 because they are confident in the quality of trucks. Can't say the same about Chrysler Dodge Ram Fiat wutever..
When are you guys going to do some "desert running" with those two desert runners you own?
This is the one we’ve all been waiting for. This and a race through Baja!
Excellent paperwork in the office TFL, thank you guys
that TRX looks HEAVY.
So does the Raptor
Looks ain’t deceiving.
Great job guys looking forward to more behind the scenes till u guys drop the main vid 💪🏼👍.I really enjoy the vids keep em coming
Like many others, I can't wait to watch the full vid when it's released. Awesome, guys!
You guys should have shown the TRX fuel support vehicle doing the obstacles as well. Probably had better angles than the TRX.
You guys just know what everyone wants to see. Thanks for the great content!
Cannot wait to see the final video. Great work fellas
Nice teaser. Looking forward to the full release!
Great video and behind the scenes adventures.
Another great video Andre
Did you see any Hummer Electric ⚡️ charging stations out there in Moab ? Lol 😝
your house... can you fill up with gas at home? Shut up
@@philtripe He can bring more fuel in cans. Not so easy to box up electric power.
@@thetankslapper Moab is about crawling, not big distances. Look at this video, it would take a week to go 250 miles.
I also didn’t see any gas stations out there either...
@@stufoo bruh this trail is 5 minutes form the city there are gas stations lol
Good video guys, thanks!!
Y’all should get the same year model 4Runner as the Tacoma and compare the two off-road. Just an idea

They have done it several times as you can see, including 4 weeks ago
czcams.com/video/i2iJ_an3Xo4/video.html
Cant. Both frames would fold in half just getting there.
The more I watch y'all the more confused I get. I know there's a lot we don't see but I'm not sure if I love y'all for the outstanding content or hate y'all because it looks like WAY too much fun. Great job guys.
should be great videos! can't wait to see them!
Keep the content like this coming!
Great sneak preview guys"!! We as viewers with much rather see these type of videos than the walk around!!! Just a little hint!!
Great video fellas! 😁
These trucks need to have side exit tailpipes.
no hitch helps even more... off road towing is not really much of a thing
The first proto type of the trx had side exhaust !
More about the line chosen rather than clearance. Also hitches are different dimensions with some hanging lower than others. Good vid!! Can’t wait for whole enchilada!
Ram TRX!
@Jack Szumigala Ha so true
@@hotrod7603 what are you on about? You don't make any sense
Do watch this video
czcams.com/video/Wijs7uxBU5Y/video.html
I'd say, he's pretty right. The TRX is a good street race truck, while the Raptor is a true high speed offroader, exactly what it's meant to be.
Good stuff!
The vehicle that many love to hate does better than the vehicles that so many love. Great series!!
Is there any day we should look out for in terms of this video releasing? Can't wait for it!
Where's Nathan!
The more I watch this, the more astounded I am that the Defender didn't scrape at all!
Short overhang, it's a no brainer, of course it wouldn't.
It's a wagon, so yeah it's fair enough
@@raionshishi8290 that's my point, everyone goes on about how Toyotas and Jeep's are soooo much better off road and yet even the lifted Toyotas couldn't beat the stock Defender. 😂
@@dallasmellsop5488 the funny thing is, it handles like a fun sporty car on the road and yet with the push of a button it can lift itself up on the air suspension and go and do something like this. Incredible!
@@gc2234 yeah but look at in closely too, when you raise it up, the suspension is now quite stiff (as any air suspension works), but that means there is now no articulation, even going down that step it lifted a wheel for a little bit, that means, you are more likely to lift wheels, leading to less grip, but that is typical of any crossover being unibody, independent suspension and on air suspension
Really looking forward to this one!
Love that scrapie sound!!!!!
set your camera at 60 fps to get rid of that led flicker
Absolutely love seeing Andre 😍
Havin fun and gettin paid! Don’t get much better than that!
The hitch is just the rear bumper skid plate.
This looks like it'll be good
"Hard day at the office" - LOL ;-)
I don't have any trucks at all but somehow I enjoy watching it so much.
The sound of the TRX, I like it.
Not sure I understand when coming off the ledge you didn’t position the truck to let 1 rear wheel at a time drop off the ledge to minimize damage. And prove that driving off road doesn’t require damage, just skill!
My uncle owns a slightly older version and it RIPS! I can't even imagine now good this is!
Hard day at the office ... now lets see the three hours of editing with the skinny filter for Roman and the man voice filter for Tommy... Im Joking! great video guys
The Tex sound wow
''WOW, your office is really cool!''
Defender scraped the hitch...fyi
Great Video guys!
When we gonna see a legit desert race between raptor and trx? This rock crawling isnt Raptors purpose
Sanw driver, both trucks, same loop, compare times?
I don't think the raptor has chance really ! In a race anyway !
@@michaelpincavitch5245 Power is nothing without control.
We will see.
I wish you would have had a ZR2 Bison for this test. See how a smaller truck with a friendlier budget would have done. I do wish the ZR2 came with 33-34" tires though.
I wonder if the Gladiator didn't have the weight in the back and full size 35's(instead of 34's) would there be less or zero scraping.
It already has a 2” lift
@@CarThings___ Ain't like it has much in the back either, it already has a 2" lift and bigger tires, giving it more advantages is not well representing it.
@@raionshishi8290 for all we know the Defender could have had more weight in the back than the Jeep
Thank you for taking the topper of the raptor
Did the full video come out?
Great video. Thank goodness the soft topper is off the Raptor. That thing makes the truck look like garbage.
Lol I came here looking for this comment. They were basically a paid advertisement. They must've had a time frame to keep it on the truck
The TRX scraped the spare tire. Though I don't put the Raptor and the TRX in the same class as the Jeep.
Thanks for sharing
Well the TRX and Raptor is stock from the factory whereas the Gladiator is modified. A stock Gladiator would have been a better comparison.
I believe you meant to say the only vehicle that did not scrape was the defender and the 4Runner scraped the most.
Would love to compare an fx4 to these on this trail.
Less ground clearance, less suspension travel and smaller tires. It would have to be a built fx4 for it to be somewhat fair
@@brokenwrench404 I’m not expecting it to compete with them but to see how capable it really is. Modifying it would defeat the purpose.
How much weight was the Gladiator carrying? It was the only one loaded in the back and lowering the departure angle.
They need a truck with ground lidar for terrain view for no spotter
Another sneak peek
IMO the defender didn't scrape because it was driven at a slight angle, so the two wheels didn't fall simultaneously..
it was driven differently
Tfl should get there hands on a 1st or 2nd gen 4runner and leave it very close to stock..like a slightly bigger tire like a 31.10 5 maybe 32. And limited slip diffs not even full lockers. I bet that would hang with maybe even out perform these 80k $ brand new trucks
All three trucks have their pros and cons.
After a full year of ownership we still never saw a use for the sway bar disconnect. As in, there never was an impassable obstacle that was passable once you disconnected the sway bar.
A couple of hours ago , I believe I passed two white Broncos on the Logandale trails
Love it, you guys are great! Note, I guess we know who is still the true king / workhorse of the group after just watching the first 60 seconds of this... I don't see anything being towed by the almighty new Dodge. ;)
I noticed that!
I’m pretty sure those trucks can jump clean over the frame bender.
Aren’t the TRX and Raptor primarily desert runners VS rock crawlers?
Is the FJ warming up the trailer for your defender? Or has the impossible happened and a Toyota breakdown?
my best guess is that they only have so many drivers and are towing a couple of the vehicles home
No talk of going "UP" obstacles. It's a completely different scenario than going down where traction doesn't matter much. Still hoping.
Hmm since the defender didnt scrape makes me wana see you guys actually buy a 2 door defended
You need to get those two trucks above 50mph on dirt, although they've got the traction they're not rock crawlers!
@ril850 I mean, the drag races are dumb but fun if that makes sense, and probably apropos for some portion of TRX/Raptor buyers. But for those of us who actually use these trucks for their intended purpose the lack of real high speed desert running in reviews (and not just TFL) is glaring.
Where's the Power Wagon? 12.5 in ground clearance.
Keep driving west out to Barstow or outside Vegas and take them in the dezert. 🤷🏻♂️
Dezert?
7:43 - six, because I was scratching my beard each time these cars were passing the cliff... ;)
Where’s the jackal?!?
At the mechanic shop 🤣🤣
Do you think a 2 door Jeep (like Tommy’s) might have issues on that step with the spare tire?
Heck no. My 2d doesn't scrape anywhere on Fins.
looks way easier in the trucks vs the shorter wheelbase of the other vehicles
Porque en esas pruebas no usaron la RAPTOR 2021 esas son la generación pasada
You need anyone else to employ at that office? This would be a dream gig.
When are y’all comparing a ZR2 Bison to the Raptor/ TRX/Gladiator?
They have no love for GM products. It was the same with the Trail Boss always getting left out while the Gladiator and F250 each got $10k+ in mods.
So... Question/comment here... @ 7:25 in this video, the narrator points & states that the Jeep has a 2 inch lift from Mopar & has 35" tires... From all I've read, the Gladiator cannot fit 35" tires without a lift... So, doesn't that make this test null & void for the Jeep since the TRX & Raptor are being tested with stock tires & height?!?!
Pickups for going fast, suvs for trail trucking
What happened to the Jackal?!?!
Thanks for the ‘plumbers crack’ view Roman!!!! 🤢
These videos are stressful hahah
We want to see the TRX do some Baja or Desert run with the raptor 40-60MpH. Hire someone to drive them fast
looks like a tailpipe and a spare tire scratch on the TRX
Hi
next time bring the cam am just for fun...
So in your truck line-up why don't you have a Tacoma? Is it because you have Toyota well represented in the SUV("Car") segment?
Still want to know where the supercharged Silverado is? This was originally touted as a 7 vehicle comparison not a 6.
Correct. As I understand, in one of the latest fleet update video, they mentioned that they were bringing the Silverado Jackel to Moab to compare against the Raptor and TRX, not to Jeep. They done multi videos of the Gladiator in Moab and shows it can conquer. I really wanted to see Silverado out there. Oh well🤷♂️.
At the side of the road where the chevys normally are.
I want to see the ram TRX versus the ram Rebel how much more do you get for that extra 50 G's and can you make a ram Rebel as good as a TRX 4 less than the price of TRX
Power Wagon is missing.
the trx doesn't look different enough as it should
Tommy driving Ford Raptor 'how long is this thing?' 👍
"hard day at the office" ... sheesh
That's an old Raptor?!
