Crazy ass set, this is history. I'd be sad to see less of the yoshi but amsa's falco is so interesting that I actually want to see more of it. Imagining a dual main amsa is such a funny thought but also pretty exciting. Also seriously get radar off the mic, and good stuff walt
Fairly sure it's just a pick for FD. Yoshi suffers without platforms. Hard to do any of what amsa does with the character on FD.
I literally shouted out loud alone in my apartment at when Amsa landed that last egg omfg GOML was easily one of the best events outside of the US ever.

I’m so happy every time I watch a video with Amsa playing and I see him win. I love him so much.
Over the past four or five years this has become my favorite matchup. These two have so many hype sets.

Oof, Amsa's Falco is still pretty rough but like, I see the potential here. If he really needs a secondary for Hbox that seems a solid choice.
Coming back to watching Melee after a few years is so refreshing. All these sets with no fox is so good as a spectator. It got so boring seeing every other match being fox vs fox. Glad I'm back!

Yeah, it's actually hilarious to see Falco played this way. The crazy thing is, it actually almost works. He took two stocks off of *Hungrybox* while playing Falco this way. With a little more polishing, I think Amsa could really make this counterpick work.

I will say, as much as I would like having more money in the Smash scene to get more people int tournaments and competitive play, we'd probably miss out on gems like at 1:30 if that was the case.
That was so dope. We saw the Falco and a game 5 clencher. It's interesting because both characters have 5 frame jumpsquats so the switch wouldn't be terrible. Falco might cover some Yoshi weak point matchups?? but I can't think of any super notable ones. Peach and Sheik. Falco might have a better MU on paper but Amsa's Yoshi is destruction so I don't think it would matter. Plus, he's always good against Fox
My assumption was that Amsa is labbing with Falco more for stage matchups than for character matchups.
The days of EVERYBODY counterpicking Amsa to Final Destination are over - Amsa even counterpicks it himself with some regularity - but it still remains one of Yoshi's worst stages due to the lack of platforms.

PPMD actually taught him a lot about neutral focused punish and you can see it very clearly in this game. Its crude but has traces of PPMD!

I love Hungrybox but aMSa let's gooooooooooo!!!!! I have nothing against Hbox, I'm not against Puff but Yoshi is good for Melee. AMSa could have played against ANYONE and I would've cheered for aMSa because Yoshi is good for Melee, Yoshi winning is beneficial for the Melee scene, especially if he wins majors and supermajors.
Fully agree. I love HBox, but seeing mid-tiers winning is just something special, and Amsa is so much fun to watch.
