    I do find it funny the broadcast and some other pods are so concerned about watch times for brit fans. Like man try being a east coast US fan. Loved Nico this weekend hopefully we'll get more of him instead of the other randos.

    Danny did hit Oscar in the process damaging his diffuser apparently. So he was nursing an impaired car until the end.

    20:45 No dude the Full Wets are SLOWER than a sliding all over the place Intermediates. That’s why teams/drivers don’t use them. You’ll have grip with Wets, sure, but your lap time will be slower than everyone else and you’ll be lapped last.
    It would have to be raining so fucking hard for the Wets to be faster than Inters. Which if it is, *that’s* when the spray is a huge problem and they red flags it.
    The old wet tires from back in the day were awesome. Just watch Brazil 2016 and compare that to wet races now.
    Can’t blame Pirelli though since developing a specific type of tire with no data or development testing is kind of impossible. They keep trying but F1/FIA/teams need to cooperate and actually make it happen.
    Marko is just teasing. He’s using the expensive cost as just a tease to dismiss Sainz to the press if they end up not choosing him. They have their foot in all these doors and aren’t letting anyone know what they’re doing because they don’t even know yet.

      Full wets also overheat and degrade very quickly if the track isn't a literal river.

    I feel like Lewis is not like fully engaged in set up? He leaves it up to the engineers? He was used to the bullet engine and just slamming on downforce whatever. But nowadays maybe even the engineers are pretty clueless.

    What platform are you watching on that you all heard Niko and Crofty? I watch via F1 TV, and the commentators in the booth for the race were Alex Jacques and Jolyon Palmer. Feeling like I really missed some commentary gold this weekend. 😕

    • @nix9vex13
      @nix9vex13 Před měsícem +1

      You can switch with F1TV. Tap the screen once, top right is Alex and co, one beneath is Sky coverage. One below that is just raw data and the bottom one of the 4 options is the live feed from any cockpit of which you can choose to have commentary OR actual engine sound + pitwall comms.

    Thank you for acknowledging Sainz's behaviour. This is the race that proves why he didn't get renewed I feel. He shows flashes of brilliance but then he takes it into the gravel. Also he is showing why he didn't stay at Mclaren, Renault and why they didn't fight for him when he was a Red Bull junior driver. Sainz drives for himself, he has always been selfish and never plays as a team. Ever.

      Not sure how? He was pushing to the very limit on that last stint and his back right slipped slightly into the gravel. Most drivers would lose so much time there or even spin out whilst Fernando lost almost no time and passed Lewis only a few corners later. There's a lot of credit to be given in that recovery.
