Great review video! I bought a Fit 3 for my wife for our 5 year Anniversary and of course I had to try it out before I set it up for her and I compared it to my Galaxy Watch 5 and I like the Fit 3 more! Way more comfortable and the screen response is way faster! Just ordered one for myself so I will be doing more side by side comparisons to my GW5.
Yeah, transition is very natural. And having a lighter device feels so refreshing!
How is the text notification experience if I may ask? Is the vibration/haptic feedback good?
I did the same thing. Bought one for my wife as a gift since she was looking for a fitness tracker and I liked it so much ended up buying one myself and don't even use my watch anymore
one small detail that no one will ever tell you is that on this fit 3, when you launch the timer app, you can navigate to other apps. While on the xiaomi band and watch, you're stuck on the timer app until you stop it.
Very good point!
Thanks!
I had a Samsung Watch 6 about 6 months ago, and I was not happy with its 36 hours of battery life. Coming from Fitbits which had 7 days of battery life. The Watch 6 would run out of juice in the middle of the night, or during the day, at inconvenient times because it is not easy to remember to charge it all the time. I bought the Fit3 because of the claimed 13 days, and it generally lasts me only slightly over 4 days with many of the notification functions turned off. I don't think I would have bought it if I had known the battery life was so short.
But 4 days is still better than the Watch 6's 1 and a half days, so I am not extremely disappointed.
Also the watch seems to use 4 times as much battery during the night as during the day. I used about 24% battery in 24 hours; but in that day I used 16% during the 8 hours of sleep. This was with the snore function off but heartbeats and Blood Oxygen on, and my phone next to my bed.
This is interesting. You can try disabling some of the advanced tracking features.
Good fitness tracker from Samsung, snappy interface, long battery life, message replies available, calendar, calculator on top of the usual alarms, timers and weather. I like the heath tab with the great integration and uniformity with the Samsung phone health app, too bad it limits some features compatibility only with Samsung devices. And the elephant in the room: no GPS??? I get the price point target but probably a deal-breaker for many
Yeah... They probably don't want to affect their smartwatch sales
great review! i find this video pretty comprehensive, you have answered all my questions hahaha 💯
Glad it was helpful!
Great review! I loved my Fit 3 but unfortunately I had to return it because of the persistent heart data syncing bug with no fix in sight. Went back to using my GW5 and Fit 2 tandem. Waiting to see what the GW7 series and Galaxy Ring have to offer later in the year.
What kind of bug do you refer to?
@@TechMishka When I had the Fit 3 paired with my S24+, it would normally sync heart data to my phone via the Samsung Health app. However, after a while (typically a day of activity) it would just stop sending data. I tried switching between manual and continuous heart measuring, clearing the Fit 3 Plugin/Galaxy Wearable cache, and even resesting/repairing the Fit 3, but the same issue would happen. Eventually it stopped syncing heart data altogether. It still synced steps, stress measurements, SpO2 data, and only some exercises. For example it synced data from a stationary bike ride but refuses to synced a walk. It was very annoying and I was upset because I really liked the Fit 3. Other people were having similar issues over on the Fit subreddit but Samsung isn't addressing it.
maybe I'll wait
Great review. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Is there a barometer or not? Samsung claims that small hole near power button is barometer sensor but it doesn’t work on my tracker. Very good review bro.
Looks like it has one, but I haven't seen any proper readouts from it.
Cool watch. Like you said, functional and pretty much all you need while out cycling or running. Now, I do not think I heard anything about water resistance as after that, I sure like to swim. Would I have to take it off?
You can swim with it.
so, if we leave fitness options aside, can be this used as let say bicycle/motorbike interface (with smartphone with you) as follows:
- answer or dial phone calls?
- choose/play music?
- have kind of navigation routing, like arrows etc?
thank you.
No :) Get a smartwatch for that purpose.
Since OP decided to be rude and not answer your questions here you go. 1. You can answer phone calls from the watch but you cannot take phone calls as it does not have a speaker or microphone 2. Yes, the Fit 3 supports apps such as Spotify and Amazon Music just as Samsung's other smartwatches do 3. Yes, this watch is equipped with GPS
@@andersen695 thank you, doesn't sound bad at all. as for phone calls, i was thinking more just to dial or answer with watch, not to do actual audio transmission of the call (which would be done via phone/bluetooth earplug combo or something similar).
@@andersen695 the gps part is false, Samsung Galaxy fit 3 don't have a gps
is it good for use with non samsung phones too?
Yes. I use it with a Pixel 7 Pro.
Sure
Jag fick min förra Samsung fit 3 förra veckan. Väldigt nöjd med den, snabb klocka. Den har allt som jag behöver försatt kunna följa min hälsa.
❤️ It is an excellent fitness tracker.
Hi, good review.
A got one since a week and i love it !
Am i the lonely one in France to get one ? 😂😂😂
I am sure there are a lot of folks in France that like it. Forums are usually full of people that are looking for some solutions 🌞
There is an issue with the fit 3 is that the step counter randomly resets the progress ive made, i walk for about 5000 steps and when i i checked my phone it resets to 53 steps, i dont know how to fix this problem. Seems like other people are having the same problem.
Oh, this is very annoying. Sounds like something they can fix with a firmware update.
Do you prefer to use screen protector? Cause I am in dilemma. Does it really help or just a gimmick
It helps a lot.
what screen rated is that? i mean corning gorilla glass they used?
Not sure what is the generation.
Would you recommend Samsung or mi band 8 pro more?
Mi Band 8 Pro has GPS which makes a big difference.
@@TechMishka Oh ok and in case of software? Which one from this two or maybe Amazfit Band 7?
Okay, I've had this Fit 3 for a few days now. The battery really disappoints me. Before this I had OPPO Watch Free. This could easily last 7/9 days. The Fit 3 with AOD off from 24 hours of use consumes 25% of the battery, so it would mean that it will only last 4 days and this is really low.
Do I need to adjust certain settings? Does anyone know?
No, that's it. The display sucks a lot. You can try with lower brightness, but this won't bring too much.
@@TechMishka I have turned off auto brightness and use the screen at the lowest setting. Hopefully there will be a software update that will improve battery life🙏🏻
Do you have "always on display" turned on? Do you have the health sensors set to take measurements all day long?... Thinking about buying one, but battery life may stop me from doing it
@@Yann_369 AOD is off. My battery goes 3/4 days max. Worthless product from Samsung
@@Yann_369I don't use that. It is always off.
27.000 steps!! Well done. That’s commitment
Doesn't happen each and every day, unfortunately 🙃
hello, since the fit3 doesnt have a built in gps, how does it track strava route?
It can borrow the GPS signal from your phone.
@@TechMishka but then you'll still have to bring your phone while running? If so, it ruins the purpose
That's why it is fitness and not smart watch. For that price i don't think that anyone has to offer GPS. Even xiomi smart band 8 doesn't have GPS. I am having my phone with me when i train. Just in case that i need a phone call, or even worse if it happens that you injure yourself so you could call ambulance. But i get it. Sometimes i hate my phon3 bouncing in my pocket. I am thinking of buying one of those straps around my arm for phones.
Does it have turn by turn navigation?
Not really
Happy with this overall. My one issue is whether or not I should have looked for a GPS device. That's because without GPS for walking, the mileage is based on steps, which assumes your stride length. I am getting a a shorter distance than what I measure from Google maps. That affects things such as the walking speed calculation. However, it's all relative, so maybe just focus on the improvement as I work out more. Or work out an adjustment factor from an accurately measured distance.
You would be surprised how close to reality it sometimes may be.
Huawei Band 9 have implemented a feature that asks you about the actual distance after a walking activity. Based on this the algorithm tunes the future results.
Not available in the USA, Amazon has it. Great video...next galaxy ring ....
Fingers crossed!
I would love this watch in a bigger size, form factor is beautiful
Sounds like a great idea.
My mother bought this for me as a Easter gift but the thing is she bought it for me to get it at scool instead of getting my phone(in my school we are not allowed with phones). She bought it thinking is a smartwatch and i can call her useing the fit 3(idk how to exactlly call it) but from your video now i understend that it's for fitness. Now I'm wondering what I'm gonna do with it bc the only thig it will help me in school is seeing what time it is.
I'm not mad at my mom, I'm very happy she bought me something but being just a 12yo i don't know what the fit 3 will actually help me with.
It will help you with time and fitness tracking. It doesn't support calls though. For that purpose you will need a smartwatch with LTE function such as the Galaxy Watch 6 LTE.
This is the perfect watch simple no unnecessary features that makes it like have a secondary phone
Yeah, good point!
The built quality, screen, and UI smoothness are better than mi band 8 pro. Howeveer, mi band 8 pro has more functions. Mi band also famous for not accurate treckking record.
I have seen comments about accuracy issues with most trackers these days.
They could easily make a NFC version wich would sell in millions even for a double price.
Only other option in europe is Fitbit Charge 6
Yeah...
should i get this or amazfit band 7?
Both are excellent trackers.
Amazfit are beautiful but they have basically among the worst fitness tracking...all their algorithms are atrocious, if you get their product, you're getting it because it's pretty.
Just received mine and it won't detect heart rate or blood oxygen, no matter which wrist or position. Meanwhile my 2 pulse oximeters work fine. Suggestions?
Are there enabled in the app? If they are and if the LEDs at the bottom dont blink, it might be a hardware issue.
@@TechMishka Great review., and thanks for the response. My phone wasn't compatible, so no app, and a new phone will be here in a few days. However, even without app I was able to get the walking feature operational, which led me to expect that heart rate monitor would work as well. Samsung tech support said to wait til phone arrives, which makes sense in hindsight. But the Fit 3 error message was all about positioning the watch rather than "Get the app, dummy". Otherwise, watch looks great.
huawei band 8 is absolutely identical. Same strap same size. Same display.. wow even the charger is identical
It is not 100% the same, but yeah, quite close.
how much watch faces can be installed on top of watche faces pre installed on the watch?
I managed to store up to 10.
Is there an AOD screen or similar?😮
Sure
Can i control my CZcams music app on this fit3
Yup
I bought Xiaomi's Band 8 Pro and it looks at least much better in silver
👍👍
Does it work with iPhone? If so how can we connect it on iOS?
This one doesn't...
Tbh I would maybe buy this all I care about is seeing the time and being able too see notifications like text and calls I don’t care about tracking fitness or having features like nfc or responding too text I’m not needy I might buy this
I think you are about to like the added value ☺️
I got fit 3 alternative fitness tracker named honor choice band less half price than it😊
Oh, nice one!
Are you from Serbia? I've seen "Cveti" wroten in Cyrillic 😊
I am from Bulgaria
@@TechMishka Well hello neighbor 😁 This video was great. I am buying Galaxy Fit 3 for sure now. I think it's great when combined with Samsung phone. Better than Huawei or Xiaomi fit bands when used with samsung phones
Is that a martenitca?
It is! ☺️
I just miss the NFC😢
Yeah...
Does this link to Google Fit? If Samsung Health syncs with Google Fit it'll be incredible, because my university gives us points for steps and biking to get free coffee lol
The Samsung health actually should connect to it (i think)
Samsung health can connect to it as.far as I remember.
You should be able to do it through health connect from Google
I got it for 50 dollars on Amazon US (it was down to 55 before taxes.) After taxes and I also had 8 usd from a gift card and ended up being 50
Great deal!
6:32 How come yours have emojis on Whatsapp, but I have no emojis on Messenger chats?
I don't know 😔 All settings are standard.
The fact that this has more built in watch faces than the watch 4/5/6 is crazy to me.
Ahahah, a good catch.
too bad, we still don't get iPhone support for this smartband :(
Yeah...
That’s an Apple thing. They block everything or charge a 30% fee.
Change to Android. Apple is way behind the curve.
Is it OK even I have a vivo 30 phone😮
Sure
GPS ???
Nope.
Why doesnt apple make a fitness tracker? Because they arent expensive enough?
I actually think Samsung fit 3 is slightly overpriced. It's priced at more than double of huawei band 8.
Fair point.
samsung always love to put large chin on every midteir gadget.
😊😊
Samsung going backwards with their affordable range of devices. Sad.
😔
Brooo no way. Samsung is selling Huawei Hatch Fit 1 tech from 2020. 😂 Most of the main menu is literally the same... like im not talking about the menu structure.. both watches use literally the same icons. They even have the same sensors. 😂
Sensors are different, equipment and software too.
Old person watch.
Ahahahaha 😊 No!
Huawei Watch Fit 2 is better.
👍 And more expensive
No NFC, no microphone, no GPS, a huge chin, proprietary straps, and especially not even possible to pick up a call directly on the band 🤦🏽♂️, seriously, the only reason I will be able to recommend this band compared to a Redmi Watch 4, Xiaomi Miband 8 / 8 Pro or Honor Choice Watch, is the fall detection, it's really convenient for people who have elderly parents or relatives they need to follow.
If you need all those features why not get a smartwatch higher price
But a good smartphone application 😊
@@yourbear2812 Except that all this is available on competing smartbands sold at the same price 🤷🏽♂️
@@vipulsardana 🤦🏽♂️
If you need microphone or GPS then buy smartphone.
It’s a 💩 and cheap smartband. Not worth buying.
Why do you think it is bad?
@@TechMishka Because it’s a cheap gadget with crappy accuracy and no gps / bluetooth calling? It’s literally only advantage is that it’s cheap. 🤔
No support for iOS. Don’t buy this watch
If u hace a ios why you want to buy a samsung band? 🙄
Hmmmm :) there still are some Android users out there.
I use galaxy buds pro 2 and Galaxy Fit 2 with iPhone 15 pro max 😂
That tells me you don't have money for a Apple Watch! 😂 Get out of here!!
Talk for yourself, I don't care about IOS (as millions other users)
