What if there are billions of other civilizations out there, but not now? What if in the timeline of the entire universe we are at the very start or the very end, where we are either the very first or the very last sign of life in the universe? Perhaps there was already something amazing that ended, and what remains of it is the nothingness of space, and we are the leftovers of life. Or perhaps other planets are the end result of life? I actually have two theories even though they sound incomplete 1.) If there is a possibility that we are in fact alone in the universe, would it be because billions of years before Earth even formed, there was some sort of cosmos wipeout or something that somehow annihilated all of the life forms leaving their planets still stable? Like everything is still there, excluding the life forms. Like how Roanoke was found deserted even though everything looked fine. It was just missing people. We just need to find the remains of the life forms I guess. 2.) Okay, so if we're not alone, and we can't figure out how to connect with other life, we still have created something that can perform and copy similar things to us: AI. Like, technology is still developing and manifesting now, as it grows, it's becoming capable of functioning by itself, without the need of Humans. If humans can manage to develop technology much further for centuries, and the entire human population randomly got eliminated; ai managed to survive; hopefully we've made enough and flourished artificial intelligent robots to substitute us and solve the things that we couldn't do. Also assuming that they'll somehow contact other extraterrestrials. That is, if us humans can cooperate with AI. Basically stating that if we fail to find other life forms, and that we won't be able to travel space, we must trust AI that they'll take care of our plans and expand out to other galaxies. I know it sounds kinda illogical, I tried, but these are my theories >.
In a similar vein I also tend to feel that humanity or carbon based life is the womb that AI is born in. Once our usefulness is spent we are discarded. This was a way for a super entity to seed many, many more worlds with AI larvae and not have to monitor or tend to them individually. They are on auto pilot until the AI births.

well the whole paradox of "if intelligent life existed for billions or trillions of years in other galaxies than why isn't there a civilization advanced enough to be exploring the our galaxy" has a problem, it's assuming there isn't any social problems or religions in other life forms that hinder the development of a species. Think about our history, religion has always hindered scientific development, it's only when we limit the power of religious authorities posses that we start to quickly advance. Also it doesn't take into account that civilizations rise and fall, think about how many civilizations were stomped out or just fell and had to start over. what's guaranteeing that our civilization can last another 50-100 years without falling apart, what's guaranteeing any other country from falling apart? these are factors that could hinder other species in the universe could be what's causing this paradox. the reason why there is no solid contact (by solid I mean an actual official from another planet coming here completely announced instead of abducting someone at night time doing some stuff then putting them back where they are all under the cover of night) could be that they have to start over every 100,000 years or so and loose all the technology they've gained or social and religious pressures limit technological advisement to the point where they don't have enough advancement to to make the journey to other planets especially ours.

I hate the fact that people look at religion has if it was something completly bad and attrocious for technology. Yes religion has slowed down technological advancement at some point in history. But at the same time it so so powerful in a good way. It doesn't have the same impact nowadays. But in the ancient eras, it gave people something to live for, to fight for, build for. Our ancestors didn't have the same ambitions nor the knowledge that we have, they needed something that made sence for them, that make them move together to fight for a belief for a common objetive. I also hate the fact that people think engeneering, informatics mathematics are the only factors that contribute for evolution. HELL NO. To go out to space we first need to change our mindset about how we percieve things here on earth. It doesn't matter how many rockets, spaceships, telescopes or satallites you build, if you don't change the way people think right now, you're not going anywhere and you're surely not going to colonize the Milky Way. And that's the hardest part. You can't just calculate people, we are not numbers nor computers, we are humans that are unpredictable and need reasons to be convinced and taught that our time on earth, is slowly but surely comming to and end.

What if there are billions of other civilizations out there, but not now? What if in the timeline of the entire universe we are at the very start or the very end, where we are either the very first or the very last sign of life in the universe? Perhaps there was already something amazing that ended, and what remains of it is the nothingness of space, and we are the leftovers of life. Or perhaps other planets are the end result of life? If you are into this sort of thing, perhaps try playing spore. Here's s little bit of the storyline:
Stage 1; Cell Stage
A meteorite crashes into a planet. This meteorite has cell in it (which you take control of), adapting it and helping it survive against the other cells.
Stage 2; Creature Stage
The cell develops legs, and most now survive on land.
Stage 3; Tribe Stage
Your creature has now become intelligent to build houses and tools, and now must survive against other rising tribes.
Stage 4; Civilisation Stage
The tribes have now advanced again, building huge cities, weapons of war and vehicles. You must either ally or attack other cities. Be careful though, you may start a war.
Stage 5; Space Stage
The creature has now advanced into space, with many paths to choose. Will it destroy other planets and wage wars? Create trade routs? Make planets more habitible or perhaps even create new life?
At this moment in time, it seems that we are on the border between civilization stage, and space. But perhaps spore isnt *just* a game? Perhaps it's something more. A theory. A prophecy. We may never know.

Because, the universe is 13 billion years old, humans are only 200,000 years old, some other life out there could have been made a billion years ago so they had a billion years to evolve, we've only had 200,000. Okay so I did a little bit of research and the 1991 vg is APPARENTLY just a very small asteroid or a Soviet satelite/space debris from the cold war.
Either way, it's supposed to come in Summer of 2017 and will only be visible from the South Hemisphere of earth.

I actually have two theories even though they sound incomplete
1.) If there is a possibility that we are in fact alone in the universe, would it be because billions of years before Earth even formed, there was some sort of cosmos wipeout or something that somehow annihilated all of the life forms leaving their planets still stable? Like everything is still there, excluding the life forms. Like how Roanoke was found deserted even though everything looked fine. It was just missing people. We just need to find the remains of the life forms I guess.
2.) Okay, so if we're not alone, and we can't figure out how to connect with other life, we still have created something that can perform and copy similar things to us: AI. Like, technology is still developing and manifesting now, as it grows, it's becoming capable of functioning by itself, without the need of Humans. If humans can manage to develop technology much further for centuries, and the entire human population randomly got eliminated; ai managed to survive; hopefully we've made enough and flourished artificial intelligent robots to substitute us and solve the things that we couldn't do. Also assuming that they'll somehow contact other extraterrestrials. That is, if us humans can cooperate with AI.
Basically stating that if we fail to find other life forms, and that we won't be able to travel space, we must trust AI that they'll take care of our plans and expand out to other galaxies.
I know it sounds kinda illogical, I tried, but these are my theories >.
In a similar vein I also tend to feel that humanity or carbon based life is the womb that AI is born in. Once our usefulness is spent we are discarded. This was a way for a super entity to seed many, many more worlds with AI larvae and not have to monitor or tend to them individually. They are on auto pilot until the AI births.

well the whole paradox of "if intelligent life existed for billions or trillions of years in other galaxies than why isn't there a civilization advanced enough to be exploring the our galaxy" has a problem, it's assuming there isn't any social problems or religions in other life forms that hinder the development of a species. Think about our history, religion has always hindered scientific development, it's only when we limit the power of religious authorities posses that we start to quickly advance.
Also it doesn't take into account that civilizations rise and fall, think about how many civilizations were stomped out or just fell and had to start over. what's guaranteeing that our civilization can last another 50-100 years without falling apart, what's guaranteeing any other country from falling apart? these are factors that could hinder other species in the universe could be what's causing this paradox. the reason why there is no solid contact (by solid I mean an actual official from another planet coming here completely announced instead of abducting someone at night time doing some stuff then putting them back where they are all under the cover of night) could be that they have to start over every 100,000 years or so and loose all the technology they've gained or social and religious pressures limit technological advisement to the point where they don't have enough advancement to to make the journey to other planets especially ours.

I hate the fact that people look at religion has if it was something completly bad and attrocious for technology. Yes religion has slowed down technological advancement at some point in history. But at the same time it so so powerful in a good way. It doesn't have the same impact nowadays. But in the ancient eras, it gave people something to live for, to fight for, build for. It united them to make powerful civilizations, to change the world and have something that is worth living. Our ancestors didn't have the same ambitions nor the knowledge that we have, they needed something that made sence for them, that make them move together to fight for a belief for a common objetive. It help creating and revolutionize the whole social structure of mankind.
I also hate the fact that people think engeneering, informatics mathematics are the only factors that contribute for evolution. HELL NO. To go out to space we first need to change our mindset about how we percieve things here on earth. It doesn't matter how many rockets, spaceships, telescopes or satallites you build, if you don't change the way people think right now, you're not going anywhere and you're surely not going to colonize the Milky Way. And that's the hardest part. You can't just calculate people, we are not numbers nor computers, we are humans that are unpredictable and need reasons to be convinced and taught that our time on earth, is slowly but surely comming to and end.
