Cuando escucho la calidad musical de esos artistas, me duele en el alma saber que los que hoy hacen millones, en la música hispana, son "artistas" que no tienen la menor idea de lo que es una nota musical. Vivan los MÚSICOS!
Pura música basura 🤮 y lo peor de todo es que creen que tienen talento, y no saben siquiera llevar el ritmo, solo hablan de sexo y drogas, gracias a dios conocí el Jazz Latino y la Salsa, mis 2 géneros favoritos.

I first saw Poncho Sanchez 1991 or something at La Ve Le in Studio City CA
It was insane... I use that word ALOT but it truly was amazing. The groove was so strong the walls were practically pulsating. One of the best live music gigs I've ever seen.
Have seen plenty of others since but I'll never forget that one... ever
t's cool that there were such vivid feelings from the concert! I didn't get to listen to the maestro live at the concert.
Was Rueben Estrada on vibes that night? This particular show was promoting Poncho’s tribute to his mentor, Cal Tjader and it was truly phenomenal. But then he had his original band w/ players like Ramon Banda/ timbales, Arturo Velasquez/ trombone, Tony Banda/ bass, Sal Cracchiolo/ trumpet among others.
I don't remember Ruben Estrada playing at this concert. Although perhaps the video version does not contain the entire concert, it was certainly longer.
@@Drums-and-Percussion-Grooves He was a featured guest on vibes for Poncho’s homage to the great Cal Tjader. Rueben leads his own group the Estrada Brothers from Ventura county.

ya hace 20 años cuando uno de los mejores planes era irse a Tower o TangoDiscos a comprar Cds y DVDs.. te estabas una hora o mas seleccionando musica para ir a disfrutar con tus amigos una tarde de sabado como hacemos ahora....Nunca olvidare la caratula naranja de este DVD que aun tengo... excelente aporte!!

I am confused. In this video and the "Bésame Mamá", I don't see Pete Escovedo playing timbales. That is Arturo Sandoval. I don't see neither Chick Correa. Can anybody explain to me what I am missing?
In this video, Pete Escovedo plays timbales while improvising Chik Corea, he stands to the left of Poncho Sanchez. Arturo likes to play timbales, he was bored just conducting :)
