That's correct. The Kgosi has grossly misrepresented the genealogy and narrative of thr tribe. I am afraid the versions are grossly glossing over facts. We need recalibration and corroboration of this narrative

barolong can not be the oldest bone le bahurutshi. Based of tales similar to those you have that are told in other royal circles.

The interviewee's historical events advances the house he belongs to above others who are legitimately ahead of them.
The Letsapa royal family is the only Barolong royal family that is royal in terms of biology, custom, and tradition. That is because it is the only dynasty whose lineage can be traced back to legitimate heirs and principal wives (the King and Queen).
-King Tau and his principal wife, (The Queen) issue = Ratlou
King Ratlou and principal wife ( The Queen) issue = King Seitshiro
King Seitshiro was heir apparent because he was born from King Ratlou's royal house, Mariba traditionally was Kgosi Seitshiro's uncle as he was born from the house of Kgosi Tau's last wife.
Making Mariba not only the most junior child in status (not age) of King Tau's house but also younger half brother to his own biological father(King Ratlou) because the same traditional succession laws that ensured that Ratlou becomes King still applied to Ratlou's household meaning the eldest male from the Queen's house becomes King and that was Seitshiro the first.
    King Seitshiro and principal wife,
Issued first heir named Kgosithebe, second heir Moshoeu and last heir Mokoto.
Kgosithebe died without issue but had a girlfriend (please note this girlfriend was not royal meaning had Kgosithebe lived and married her she wasn't going to be a Queen and a chief wife was going to be found from royal or noble relatives)
So the throne went to the second son Kgosi Moshoeu who had married a relative who became his chief wife in accordance with tradition.
Meaning King Moshoeu 's first born = Seitshiro ii became the eldest royal heir biologically and traditionally.
Kgosi Moshoeu took his late brother's girlfriend who already had Matlhaku as her eldest child, this girlfriend gave Kgosi Moshoeu Sekgoro as their first child.
Sekgoro issued Kgosi(not to be confused with King Seitshiro i s'first son), Kgosi issued Moffat(his descendants are now known as the Moshoette)
Succession war started between the Seitshiro ii (Seitshiro ii's descedants are known as the Letsapa and Matlhaku (who wanted the regency on behalf of Sekgoro, oral history indicates that Sekgoro was not male hence the need to claim regency by the siblings, her non royal brother Matlhaku fought for the throne with Seitshiro ii so that he can be regent for Sekgoro.
The Seitshiro ii left and settled in Dithakong were Letsapa was born.
The Barolong were left with numerous regency regimes (regents Matlhaku, Masisi, Mongale, Mokoto, Gontse, e.tc) until the boers strategically installed a laborer from a farm in potchefstroom called Moffat(now know as the Moshoette) claiming he was heir to Kgosi when there was a land dispute between the boers and the English an event that resulted in the formation of British bechuanaland( Barolong lands in South Africa) and Bechunaland protectorate (Botswana).
This is why biologically and traditionally the Letsapa are the legitimate heirs of the Barolong throne and all others are chiefdoms are just relatives or rebels.

You may want to take a trip to Kuruman, and to a village called Maruping (about 17km north-west of Kuruman town). You can pop in at the local Kgosi's house, at the royal kraal, and let them fill you in.

He's not answering the questions, you cannot say Barolong le Bahurutshe ke bana ba batona, ha o bodiwa gore ba tswa kae.
They surely didn't appear from nowhere. It sounds like there's an agenda just from that point.
Not all groups came to be because of they called themselves according to things they identified as.
There's a complete leanage and you cannot leave anything blank. You have to answer completely where all groups come from before we can recognise you, or else you're just taking chances.
He was asked about top 10, and he didn't even fill in his missing gaps of his own top 5 to 7, he went straight to his two big kings of North West.
He doesn't explain how the borders of North West were decided upon, but he already knows who is the king or kings.
If we want to go back in history then we have to be frank about it and do that entirely, without gaps, then the questions will be easier to answer.
