- We are starting to wonder Is winter van life a bad idea? We are still Pro Winter Van Life but today was the hardest day we have had while travelling in our van in Iceland. In todays vlog we needed to make a 3 hours drive through Iceland but unfortunately it was stopped short due to insane weather conditions.

I am glad the wind was not blowing at you it can cause vertigo effect where it feel like your going backwards even though your going forward only the gages prove your direction. Good driving Caolan calm and safe even with poor Samantha freaking out.

It really was, thankfully we didn’t have too many days with these conditions but it was quite scary that evening 🫣

So true! Winter conditions can be so scary for driving, thankfully we didn’t have this kind of problems everyday but when they came it really made us quite scared 😟

Haaaa. Samanthat totally sounds like my wife here in Canada. Blizzard and whiteout at night is never fun to drive in. Even if your experienced in it. Then the road starts to get covered over and its hard to tell where the sides of the road are. Too much fun
Haha that’s so funny, 😆 thankfully we have been generally ok with the driving conditions, this was just a really scary one that just hit us on the road, thankfully it was all ok in the end, but yeah winter road trips can be really unpredictable 🫣
As mentioned we totally had a similar situation today! Wasn’t quite night but we were nervous as well. We were about to turn around but we kept pushing on! We loved seljalandsfoss! We were able to go behind but it was dangerous. I slipped and almost swam in the foss. Loving your series! Great job btw! Gosh that night snow was so serious I felt it. We hiked a trail and when I got to the falls it started snowing alot. Got some epic photos. Glad you guys made it safe. The water comes from the glacier melt. We were going to go to dettifoss but it was closed. 😢😊

Maybe its me but this video doesn’t play well, it’s forever stop /starting 😬
Can you be a little more specific? Is it stop / starting from a technical issue or something else?
@@GoTimeTravelsit seems to play for 10/15 seconds and then gets stuck. Sometimes just the sounds stops but the video plays. I thought originally maybe it was just my connection being bad, but other videos were ok. I looked in the comments to see if others were having issues but saw nothing. I also watched on lower quality but it’s the same problem….
Not much more I can say…
