Absolutely brilliant!!! Bought a brand new pair of Nike VaporMax Plus and put my Spence Total Support Max insoles and I had the most annoying squeak 😩. After watching this video and sanding my Spenco insoles the squeak is gone and I can enjoy my shoes again. 😄. Thank you!
Use Dryer Sheets! Old Army technique. Take out your soles. Use the sole as a pattern on the dryer sheet. Cut out the pattern. Place the pattered dryer sheet into the shoe and then the sole on top. Automatic Squeak Less Shoes, Any shoes

I took a chance and goggled "sequel between insoles and shoes" and I was brought here. SO EXCITED to go to the hardware store to get me a sanding block! I can't wait to really enjoy the comfort and support my $250 shoes/insoles combo offer since I've avoided wearing them unless I'm going somewhere noisy (or to PT). A great, big thank you!
I had to use coarse sand paper on some, but it's the same concept. good luck!

This actually worked for me too. I have EasyFeet arch support that were squeaking. I had to do it a few times and did the bottom as well as the sides but they don’t squeak now. 👍

Thank you! Other solutions online suggest tape, or putting powder in your shoe. This was a much cleaner solution and it worked.

My dr scholls inserts had the most obnoxious squeak.I sanded it with 325 grit sand paper and now the squeak is gone!

Did this, fix only lasts about a day then squeak comes back, other vids say to use wax to coat the bottom should help trying that now, seeing how long it lasts. Also heard duct taping the bottom helps.

Tried this a few times but it only works temporarily for me. I feel like the dust from the sanding is what’s lubricating the insole like talcum powder would.

A little baby powder or gold bond does the same thing.
I'm trying this for another pair of shoes. What if insoles are not removable? Do I just go to a shoe repair shop to remove the squeeky sound?
I have cork ones from Sole and they squeak bad think sanding the cork would work the same as on plastic?
This did not work for me. What worked was using candle wax or paraffin wax and rubbing it on the bottom of the insole

I can't stand it. Why does this happen. My shoe decided to start doing it after months.
Was it 320 grit or 220?
We used both but the rougher sandpaper worked best
My shoes squeak. Why does this fix it?
The squeak is caused by the insoles not fitting properly, most likely too big. So when you step, it forces the insoles down and they rub against the sides of the shoe.
Sorry, but the "fix" only last for about an hour. Then they start squeaking again.
How much did you sand them? Also are you sure its sanded in the right areas? I think its about removing the glossy finish on the insole where it contacts the inside of the shoe so that it stops rubbing and squeaking. This glossy sticky finish seems to create way too much friction, so once its gone its quiet. Worked for me...
@@nikobuerk346 I applied a little talcum powder. That worked better. But maybe it was the combo, since I can’t “un-sand” the insoles.
