  • Ibn Taymiyyah (January 22, 1263 - September 26, 1328; Arabic: ابن تيمية), birth name Taqī ad-Dīn ʾAḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥalīm ibn ʿAbd al-Salām al-Numayrī al-Ḥarrānī (Arabic: تقي الدين أحمد بن عبد الحليم بن عبد السلام النميري الحراني),[11][12] was a controversial[13][14] Sunni Muslim ʿālim,[15][16][17] muhaddith, judge,[18][19] Traditionalist theologian,[20][21][22][23] ascetic, and iconoclastic theorist.[13][17] He is known for his diplomatic involvement with the Ilkhanid ruler Ghazan Khan and for his involvement at the Battle of Marj al-Saffar which ended the Mongol invasions of the Levant.[24] A legal authority within the Hanbali school, Ibn Taymiyyah's condemnation of numerous folk practices associated with saint veneration, perceived worship of tomb-shrines and alleged anthropomorphism made him a contentious figure with rulers of the time, and he was imprisoned several times as a result

Apologies for the oversight. I mistakenly used nasheed as background music in my latest videos. Feel free to check them out.

@@symbolofintelligenceThe nasheed we have nowadays have an enchanting voice that produces tunes and rhythms. People listen to nasheed because of enchanting voice and tunes and rhythms. Very few people will listen if it's read like poetry.
As for poetry, it's just read; not sung without any tunes nor rhythms

@@symbolofintelligenceAccording to the scholars, Nasheed is permissible only if these conditions are satisfied:
_Not using forbidden musical instruments in nashid_
_Not doing it too much or making it the focus of the Muslim’s mind, occupying all his time, or neglecting obligatory duties because of it_
_Nasheed should not be recited by women, or include haram or obscene speech_
_They should not resemble the tunes of the people of immorality and promiscuity_
_They should be free of vocal effects that produce sounds like those of musical instruments. They should not have moving tunes which make the listener feel “high” as happens to those who listen to songs. This is the case with many of the nasheeds which appear nowadays, so that the listeners no longer pay any attention to the good meaning of the words, because they are so entranced by the tunes_
