Saw the Fontaine teaser in the Genshin Impact special livestream for 3.8? Want to start preparing for Fontaine? Well, 3.8 is the last patch before Fontaine drops!
The Genshin Impact 3.8 release date is July 5 2023. The 3.8 banners will include Klee, Eula, Kokomi and Wanderer! Then Genshin Impact 4.0 release date is mid-August!
This means that we have over 6 weeks to make some last minute preparations for Fontaine in 4.0!

I love all of the Fontaine characters but I think I’m gonna wait and only roll for the characters I absolutely want. I want to make sure that the character I’m getting is strong.

Make sure to farm the Guardian if you want to build the new characters in 4.0, since they'll use talent materials from that domain. Lyney also needs Fatui insignias.

Just farming mora and xp after a very hard time on leveling up characters so I feel fresh for fontaine
Sheesh, you're prepared!! I only have all archon quests done and Inazuma at 100% exploration, but don't have 100% anywhere else, have dozens of world quests to do, haven't touched hangouts at all yet, still want to build a couple of characters, and could use some more mora and books.

Personally, I've been stocking up on adventurers exp and mora, and saving up artifact fodder in case the strongbox gets an update like 3.0
Tenacity, Pale Flame, Shime, EoSF, Husk, Clam will be added on the strongbox
I'm new in genshin BUT i am still hyped for Fontaine even though i wont have the Fontaine archon quests for years lol 🐣
You'll get there soon! But definitely don't rush it. You have a lot to look forward to, not just Fontaine 😊
I'm waiting for the Venti and Zhongli reruns, i need their support more than i need DPS characters. Wish me luck with Kokomi too!
And if you have enough/have done everything she's listed here, take a two week break. Even if you don't feel burned out, taking two weeks to breath and come back can work wonders in a game like this. The heart grows fonder with absence. You'll also gain access to the Stellar Reunion event (only activates when you haven't logged on in two weeks) that gives you primos (not as much as you would get from logging in, but still a nice sum), fragile resin, overflows of any resin-spending activity you wish to do (this includes artifact domains I believe), and a billet of choice. Especially if you wait til the last two weeks of the patch, you'll be able to come back with additional goodies for that first week in Fontaine!

Two weeks will give your brain a break from the gacha grind that tries to squeeze your brain apart.
My personal check is whether I look at the environment or not. If I ignore it and don't slow down every once in a while just to watch, I know a break is a smart idea

As a fully F2P player and a collector, I simply can't miss my dailies.

(though if you want or need to take a break and you have friends who also play genshin, loading off that task to them is a valid option)
I'm really excited to see how Fontaine plays out. Definitely saving for Wriothsley and Neuvilette first, then I'll see about the other characters. But Wriothsley is rumored to be the new Cryo Standard Banner character, so I'll probably pull for him then get Neuvilette on his rerun. Thanks for the tips, Jazz!

I just need 3 of the 5 stars form Fontaine. (Dunno if that child nurse Sigewinne next to Wriothesely is a 5 star or 4 star but I want her). Saved up 160 wishes so far, I shall continue saving to make it to 300 wishes just to get these 3 characters - Wriothesley, Neuvillette and Sigewinne.
Of course you'd add TCG at the end lol. Well, I'll still be saving for Zhongli of course, but the artifact recommendation for the traveller was a good shout. I entirely forgot about when the game forces us to be them... and I'm fairly sure I've got some good HoD pieces I can throw on them for a bit. The gladiators might be a bit more tricky... 🐣

After I saw the trailer I start saving for Furina and Neuvillette.

I just wished for Klee, losing the 50/50 to Keqing. But Klee was a hit or miss on my want list, now because I lost the 50/50 I’m guaranteed my next character, which will definitely be a Fontaine character.

Im going to get kokomi and then save for a good Fontaine character, bc at this point I've reached the point were there aren't any necessary characters to save for (but I lost kazuha and want Raiden). I'm farming exp books and crystal flies since it's so annoying to go get crystal flies every time I use 5 resin things 😭 I think I'm prepared. I caught up on all the lore, I only need to do five story quests and the chasm quest with yelan and stuff, but yeah I am so ready

I've been purposely saving the new hydro artifacts for Fontaine/traveller (are most rubbish yes but still saving them)
The world quests and story quests called me out lmfao
as much as i would love to do most of this stuff im pretty much completely broke in fragile and crystal cores, im not good at farming them lol and im going for older characters i want more which i know i will regret but im still deciding, now if fontaine is in september then i can spend, since im not against that, but until then im completely broke, driving is sucking the money out of me.

Also, just a note, the Teapot can only store a certain amount of realm currency at a time. I think it maxes out every two weeks.

Charater I probably want: Arlecchino
Characters I could also get: Freminet, Navia, Neuvillette, Clorinde
Characters I barely have interest in: Lyney, Lynette, Wriothesley, Sigewinne, Charlotte
Building hydro traveler... i totally forgot.. i knew that extra on-set hydro goblet was going to be needed sooner rather than later
Thanks for your video. It`s exactly what I did right now, before 3.8 which hopefully is a lot of fun. Fortunately the only character I could be interested in3.8 is Kokomi. But I am not sure if it is a good idea to go for an "older hydro character before entering the hydro region. What do you think?

All I really have left is to just farm - I saved up lots of exp books and talent materials but they'll all disappear once I get Klee (as I was pre-farming everything for her).
Something else that you could do is go achievement hunting! I currently have 911 (I had around 800 a few weeks ago), which gives you loads more primos and helps to stay somewhat on top of them since we'll get loads more when Fontaine drops.
In terms of exploration and stuff I'm all caught up - I've got 100% everywhere, done all the hangout events, story quests, world quests, archon quests etc, I've maxed out all the trees and statues and reputations etc too.
I'm working on Inazuma rep and exploration rn cuz I've done all the non-com locked quests
Definitely also focusing on leylines
And Spiral Abyss
I'm pulling Wanderer but I'm already at like 60 pity so I'm not worried about him
All great advices I still haven’t finished Inazuma reputation, still rank 5 at teapot, didn’t start Sumeru or even the chasm for Yelan needed boss, I started playing last year on Ayaka banner but was too busy with university and work.
Have to do Monstadt,Liyue,Sumeru , Inazuma exploration, reputation to do..... oh and also quests

my whole map in teyvat is 100% for everything and 844 achievement so far :3 :3 I finished full sumeru forest and desert 100% with lots of hidden achievements in it in like a month and a half :3 waiting for fontaine cuz I have nothing to do att all even finished this recent event 100% and there is still 35 days for this event lol we really need ton more maps or maybe am just too invested in it that i Glop up the whole content as soon as it comes :""(
i have a question im a mobile player and i would like to prepare space on my phone. so in-game there is an option to delete past quest resources but i have no idea what exactly will be deleted. i dont want to have the situation where i delete them then i find out i have to reinstall the files later on down the line.
I got into the game in the last few months and im about to finish the sumeru archon quest probably in a week. But havent completed so many of the side quests. I'll probably be out of content in 3 months depending how much time i will have in my hand and boy i won't have much soon enough. I really dont have enough hydro chracters and in despereate need. I'm praying to get mona and have failed so many times.
i didn't even think about the hydro archon lol, i am saving up for kokomi since my only water one this F2P account is barbra, rethinking that now lol

I’m really excited for Fontaine but I don’t think I’m going to be pulling at all during the Banners of 4.0 except for Furina the hydro archon and then if Yelan, Hu Tao, or Venti have a rerun. Since I am already farming and saving for Kokomi. Any leftover primo is going to the standard banner before Furina banner.

You forgot to mention (hidden) achievements, to gain additional primogems.
I started saving after I got baizhu, and as for now, I recovered my mora and my talent books and still farminh for more until fontaine. I made up my mind not to get every new 5star (unlike during sumeru days😂. i only skipped dehya) amd only wait until the hydro archon's banner. But the drip marketing came and I saw the youngest brother of lyney and lynett and I already failed. I will get him😂. Hopefully no early 5star.
Anyways I'm all set. Waiting for 3.8 and 4.0. since im done exploring sumeru and other regions, (anyways in exploration, if i got so tired i will left it atleast 90percent.) like what i did on Enkanomiya, I only continued my exploration there this year since its release date. Then chasm (the upper part) after finishing the exploratiin on new dessert part, I proceeded to finish the chasm this year again, since its release. Now that i have nothing to do in game, I will just log in,claim welkin, do commissions, burn resin and claim things on teapot then log out. As for now, I am giving attention to keqing. I neglected this character since 2021😂. But bcoz there's no new character to raise, I end up building her. I already have rerun those characters here in 2.7 same with 2.8 reruns and all of them were fully built and has lvl 10 friendship. Now.. After keqing, I'm thinking which 4star support to build next. I'm eyeing faruzan and thoma, since I don't have enough mats for them during wanderer release. 😂 So i end up using jean, diona and bennett for hid team mates. Hmm.. But if laziness hits, I mighy end up not building any 4star and just wait for fontaine new domains and bosses

EVERYBODY if you want to pull for the archon, (probably a 5stars) save your primos! Take a look at her playstyle, only pull if you like her, i would suggest you to watch some vids of her playstyle and her voicelines, that would help a lot, as for me if i don’t like her i’ll pull Ningguang to replace my geo traveller (probably)
TFW you are a late Genshin player and: you just finished Inazuma reputation, still have Inazuma/Enkanomiya world quests to complete, and busy finishing the Sumeru Archon Quest. Also still need to max out Sakura Tree, and do... basically everything in Sumeru still. Saving primos is a no-go because I'm going for Eula so only 3 weeks to save up for Fontaine. Still building like 9 characters that I HAVE to build (of which Benny, Xingqiu, Nahida, Shinobu, Kazuha are the most urgent ones) so all my resin is going into EXP books, talent and ascension materials ;-;

The only preparation I'm doing for Fontaine is opening more chests, doing more achievements to add primos to what i currently have (96k atm)
1: Reps maxxed out a long long time ago(only one reputation quest thingy to complete which is tied to dailies but the rep lvl itself is maxxed).
2: All my characters are lvl80 talents 777 and fully kitted with weapons and artifacts so yeah i'm ok on that front(Archons talents lvl999 and lvl90,Trav all elements and Aloy triple crowned and lvl90 cuz i'm a Trav and Aloy main).
3: Meh,i farm as i need and so on.
4: Who uses food?
5: I have enough tho i wouldn't have minded MHY making them avaliable as expedition reward -_-.
6: Got plenty of those,i keep getting them in events and such tho since i reached my threshold with all my characters(triple 7 and triple 9/crown) they keep on piling up.
7/8: Mora and primos keep piling up as i play so it's fine.
9: Maxxed my exploration in all regions and side regions since basically they arrived.
10/11/12: Completed 100% of my archon,side and story quests aswel as events and hangouts so far,pretty sure i'm fine on this one too.
13: I have 160+ Solvents and barely used less than 10 since i started playing 2 years ago.
14: I'm a Trav main with a universal build focused on "all-roundability" for all elements so i'm 100% fine(if we'd have loadouts then i would have a specialized build for each element)
15: Maxxed stamina almost since i started playing.
16/17: Resin is resin,you either save up the "save up-able" one or you use the one that keeps regenerating and if ppl have a hard time managing this then Genshin ain't the game for them XD.
18: Teapot maxxed for almost a year if not more now.
19: Are there ppl who don't claim their currency? And if there are do they even have the right to complain about losing out on resources if they're lazy enough to not use up 30 seconds of their life every couple of days to claim that stuff?
20: I play on PC and i have 2TB of memory,i'm fine as for my phone i only use it to condense resin and for that alone i can keep the game size slim by deleting old quest files given i am always up to date on doing said quests.
21: I only far, those when i run out,for exemple i farm for like a week up to 200 of them then for a handful of months i never need to farm them again then repeat,idk why ppl make such a big fuss about this one.
22: K on this one i admit i do need to buy some more and yes this unlike the crap Solvents is actually extremely useful so i kinda need ot buy more,i have about 2k but hey you can't have enough of this.
23: Yes this i'm broke on,honestly i've been focusing alot on weapons lately.
24: Literally nobody plays that garbage and no1 will ever play that garbage other than the tutorial and about 2-3 matches for a few primos, TCGarbage is useless and shouldn't exist in the game but that's just me,if ppl enjoy it then they can play it.
Overall i think i'm fine and ready for Fontaine =)))))))

From how most people in the Genshin community talk about getting ready for Fontaine, it really makes me feel out of place. I already have everything maxed out and hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of the materials to stock up on. I know I play this game too much, but it's so odd to me when some people say they haven't even finished the Archon Quests yet...

Farm as much artifacts as possible for the new strong box. Get as much dream solvents and midlander billets as possible.
Pretending like you need them? I have not used a single billet since mondstad, i think i have 10+ of each of them sitting in my bag lmao the weapons are so bad most of the time
@@MoonTurky I don't even need them. I don't use a single crafted weapon anymore. I just R5 them for the sake of collecting.
But for those who don't have much options, getting billets is a good idea.

honestly as an adventure rank 50 player with over 350k adventure exp bc I'm too afraid to ascend bc most of my support characters aren't at level 80 and I barely have enough book exp to level up my characters and I still haven't done zhongli's 2nd story quest I'd say that exploration doesn't really matter that much to me lol, the only region that I am close to max out in exploration is mondstadt and the rest of the other regions are probably under 50%, In one case that I would try to max out the regions is only when I'm bored.
Exploring 100% is only for the 55+ people who dont have anything else to do
I have Sumeru 100% every region. Funny thing is I don't have other three 100% exploration.
