One of the best of these interviews - a thoughtful and humble man sharing vital and important lessons about life and death for us all. Thank you Ian.
I favor the FN and M-14. Semi Automatic.
Very good explanations: weapons, field operations, etc...
Great talk Ian and you're right about Rhodesia.
Thanks Ian and John great chat. Ah yes Oasis Saturday afternoons, followed by Club Mungwanna (Tomorrow) or Coq D'Or and then back to the dog biscuits with tubes of butter and cheese soon after.
Very philosophical and low key, thoughtful overview from a man who has seen a lot of action and been through a tremendous amount. Many Thanks.
Brilliant. Thanks.
Character test. Passed. Badged and, 'away to go' for more. Mark of hard fighting men. God bless them all.
Much respect, and thanks for your service and time taken to share your most interesting and amazing stories.
Much appreciated
Very true what this man says about fear. Once I picked up my rifle and loaded my mags my fear subsided dramatically, still had a knot in my stomach but that stayed.
Very interesting this man is a true hero, I just had to sit still and listen. Thank you very much for this interview.Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for a terrific insight into SAS operations.
What a bushman!
Amazing stories and a man among men.
Can't wait for part 2
Incredible story!
And Mike Tyson once quoted something like one has a strategy before being hit by the opponent and he talked of befriending FEAR
What a great accounting. It was riveting.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
He's a good story teller
I read somewhere that the legendary Bob McKenzie’s son is named Ian. Is this just a coincidence or were they friends?
Thought I’d seen this on another channel.
Yeah, I’m sure you’re right.
@@llamamanism It's advertised as such, HMI allowed us to use it on this channel.
Did you by any chance know Sgt Andre Chait. He was my best buddy at school and was killed on my Birthday .
Yes Andy Chait is a legend. Respect!
