One thing I noticed about the P-51 and the Spitfire MK XVI is they are so aerodynamically sleek that they don't slow down much when you cut throttle. So if you aren't careful you end up trying to land with way more speed then you should. The field I fly mine at is pretty rough ground too and I don't have problems with the landing...just got to get it slower.

Love to get a bit more printing advice from LRT. I have been trying to print a 3Dlaprint plane and have concluded that unless you totally commit and buy simplify 3D as well, your experience with their models will be extremely frustrating. Their designs are made to be sliced with S3D (presliced when you buy a model). At $150 USD for S3D, you need to print a lot of planes to make it worthwhile. Did LRT use S3D ?

This is one beautiful build, and great flying, even though we could only see you flying near, but it looked locked in. So I fly off a grass maintained field, and I noticed that you were calling that grass you were on rough, and you should never have flown on it, do you think that these 3D printed planes are just fragile? It looks like the grass would have been soft for belly landing. Cheers.

I spent $230 on an Ender 3 about a month ago, wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. With no experience or education in design or software I can now design basic stuff in fusion about as fast as I could search for it. It’s not hard if you watch a few videos and struggle a bit. Super rewarding. Do it!

@terminal insanity CNC foam cutter is expensive, share the link if you know any cheapest machine

@@ALIRaza-MCE- cheapest would be one you build yourself.
Arduino with grbl, a couple t6600 stepper drivers, some nema23 steppers, gt2 belting & pullies for the steppers, something to use as a frame, and a hot wire element & a voltage source.
Can probably build one for about $200
Ive built a cnc router & cnc laser engraver this way, a foam cutter wouldnt be much different.
