Great solution Cam even though I had the problem in reverse! 🙂 The door shelf tab mounts moulded in the plastic inside door backing had broken off! 😮 And it was the bottom shelf too which holds all the bottles and the maximum weight!! 😱 But the solution is the same but in reverse. I simply needed to drill holes on either side of the plastic inside door backing frame and then fix the wall plugs with screws to the inside of the plastic side frame so that the shelf then slides down over the plugs! Fixed! 😃 As in my case it was the main wide shelf which holds all the bottles and the maximum weight extra plugs and screws may be necessary. They can be drilled and stacked vertically on either side which should be easy as shelf guides are at least 30-40mm high. I've just just put one in either side today but will monitor them and install more plugs and screws if necessary. Again, great inexpensive solution Cam (especially when we had all the bits already) and have proved today in works in both scenarios for anyone else who have either kind of fridge shelving breakage problem! 👌 👍 👏
Thanks for the comment Joandar1, not often people comment on this one, however even though I put it up as the tester for my channel it is one of the most popular. Cam
Great, that’ll extend the life of the shelves thanks! But that plastic shit is gonna break somewhere else now, they must use a soft plastic type in these shelves. Keeping cost down or planned obsolescence 🤷♂️ either way it’s annoying. Even if we buy a quality fridge this still happens.
On my refrigerator the pegs go in the door. They are still there but must have gotten shorter somehow because the shelf falls out on the floor & inspires bad language from me everytime it happens.
I have a reversre problem the pegs on side have snapped after a heavy bottle toppled over and force fell and snapped it off, I glued each one back on but its not strong enough to hold bottles (only small things) I was thinking of putting screw in (but that would look ugly) but worried there would be no way to lock it into place, something like this may work but any advice?
I want to do the same repair to mine but I do not know where to find the "plugs" here in the US I am sure they are available but I do not know the exact name/description.
Was going to try gluing the broken off plastic tabs back on, but this looks like its a superior fix, thanks for taking the time to show us

Nice work dude.
Repair/ Remake not Replace principal rolled into the KISS theory! Good video Cam.
Hope you are going well now. Cheers from John, EC Australia.

"I tried to start a revolution... but I didn't print enough pamphlets ..." Sorry your voice reminds me of Korg :) Thanks for the video!
Well thank you Mrs T. I don't know if that's a complement but my 12 year old who's a Marvel fan absolutely cracked up laughing.

@@camatbattler2233 Absolutely a complement! Glad I could help be a source of laughter lol. Have a great weekend and God Bless!
It's almost like they make them as cheap as possible so that you have to buy replacement parts for your whole life.

See my response for the solution to your problem using the same procedure in reverse! 🙂
