    They were all rotated vertically by 90 degrees clockwise which only tests one degree of flexibility

    Hi, I have a question about this test. Does exists a kind of levels for each range of point? I mean, if I have 10 point, what it means?. Does exists any category like "High, medium, low" Or something like or what it mean the scores? ?
    Thank u so much!

    Thanks for sharing this test. If you feel comfortable to do so, could you provide us the percentiles by number of right answers on this test, or at least the discriminating power at the ceiling (ie. Is it close to 99th percentile, for example)? Thank you. If you'd rather not share such specific information, could you at least say something general about the performance of a certain sample population on this test? Thank you in advance.

      Manolo, thanks for reaching out. This video is adapted from a research group that published an open access article and open access stimulus material. I have updated the description of the video with information and links. I think the article will provide you with everything you are looking for : )
      Let me know if you have any more questions!

      @@toddlamarr Thank you so much. I can literally feel my parietal lobe working while I do these exercises (is that normal? 😳) I’d like to do more, is there a place where I can find more of these?

      Hi Steve, thanks for watching and your interest! For this video I purposefully did not include the answers because we used this in a class for students to test and collect data from people they knew. However, I am more than happy to share the full answer key with you if you would like it. A few answers can be found in another video about mental rotation on my channel: czcams.com/video/jMXicrq9Q9s/video.html. But if you would like the full answer key, just let me know and I can share a link with you!

    • @toddlamarr
      @toddlamarr  Před 2 lety +1

      @Ganzir, thanks for watching the video and for your comment. These tests items are adapted from a larger mental rotation test, so there are not any norms. Beyond accuracy, what is also interesting to study with mental rotation tests is the length of time it takes someone to answer.

      @@toddlamarr I think it took me about the same time to solve them all, easy to hard. It may be interesting to note that I have aphantasia and therefore probably use different brain functions to solve them than a normal person would. You would know more about that than I do.

      It might be. But you wouldn't know from this test as it's an easy one (all the rotations are made in one plane)

      @toddlamarr  Před 3 lety +1

      Glad you found this interesting! No...this is not an IQ test. This is a simplified version of a larger assessment of mental rotation.
