Thanks! They are tricky to use at first but once you get the hang of it, it can be addicting lol!

Scrap vinyl...I find that the default layout once you go into "Make it" usually wastes a lot of paper/vinyl/etc. I almost always maneuver things around on the screen to save waste before I start to cut, so I don't wind up with little pieces of scrap. Then I have a file organization system by color and material type for leftovers. I generally check out my "scrap" folder before starting a new sheet. I get so excited when I use up a scrap piece LOL.

You do lol. But I am warning once you start you won't stop 😊. I particularly love it for making customized stencils.

You don’t have to do the box and slice, just cut out like normal and weed out the letter just like you did, that’s called reverse weeding. I would take off the mat before weeding and applying transfer tap. Also only use removable vinyl for stenciling.

Hmm how do you weed it if you take it off the mat? I didn't have removable vinyl but that could be why I had to remove some of the stickiness first. Thanks for all the tips. I'm newer at using a cricut

Before weeding peel the whole vinyl piece off, just like you did after you weeded it, once removed you start your weeding.
I had the old style cricut, with the cartridges, and design pads. Then I went to cricuit air and was so lost and intimidated, I just watched CZcams videos, a boat load!!! Makers gonna learn is an amazing channel.
