Too late night and I’m doing the same! Great interview on Broken Record. The Chicago youth symphony for RTB was shockingly complex as it almost reminded me of the themes of Requiem for a Dream! Sooo good! (Nearly said soo “cool” but know Ben tries not to use that word after Bill Shatner challenged him to come up with better words! Lol)
So, I've been binging various Rock This Bitch versions for a couple of hours now, and I'm really impressed with how different they all are. The cool thing is that Ben isn't reinventing the wheel with any of the progressions, but they all have a distinct style, they all flow well and they make sense. I can't wait to see this man perform live.
This intro gives me some Carl Orff: Fortuna Impartrix Mundi “2” vibes (part 2 not the more famous first part). I just love that quick Ba, Ba, ba, ba, Ba, Ba, baaa….stuff. And, a little “Uf Dem Anger: Tanz” So what I’m say’n is that Ben’s a genius up there with some of the greatest musical minds ever. Anyone who can make music with Fraggles and command orchestras is on a whole ‘nother level.
I’ve gone down a Ben Folds RTB rabbit hole. I’m not disappointed at all.
It's late night and I'm doing the same
Same

I understand now what Beethoven could feel... composing. Magic !
I love how he started with a Spanish vibe, thinking of Toledo.

I handled a lot of the ladypart of You Don't Know Me. Have always wondered how that sounds, if anyone has video.
Yeah!
Sounds like a heart break song lol
it's like Ben and the conductor has a string in their brains
That's standing ovation worthy of a performance, what is wrong with that crowd
