Since no one else mentioned it yet: 18 said that all she had from her former life was a Spencer's gift card, a joint, and 1600 zeni (which translates to about $16 I'm gonna guess). She gives Samuel the gift card, smokes the joint, and buys her and Krillin burgers, thus erasing all material connections to her past life. Some kind of metaphor for letting go of the past and embracing her future or something, idk.

I mean 1'000'000 zeni is a lot, so I rather doubt that 1600 zeni would be $16

@@birb2330 Like C. Nyx said, it's equivalent to yen. Yen doesn't have a percentage tacked on like USD does, it's just the flat number, so the last two digits of yen (and zeni in this case) are usually seen as analagous to cents.
Now, it's not LITERALLY $16 though, because I'm pretty sure the exchange rate isn't exactly 1 to 100 like that.
Also, did anybody notice Master Roshi was also on a date with some woman behind 18 at the restaurant? I'd swear he was just there to spy on 18's & Krillin's date.

Jackie Chun was when Master Roshi went undercover for a martial arts tournament to beat Kid Krillian and Kid Goku. He feared that if they felt they were unbeatable they would lose their drive, so he wanted to make them realize that there is always someone stronger and a reason for them to always aim to get stronger

The thing to keep in mind about Buu (evil Kirby) is that one of his powers is transmogrification. His favorite use of it in canon? TURNING PEOPLE INTO CANDY.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 while it’s possible the seiries would have changed something, Buu was a contrast to the other “big bads.” Cell was “oh no he’s evil powerful and smart(er then Frieza at least) !” Buu is “oh no he’s evil powerful and absolutely batshit insane.”
Buu has the highest body count of all the big final form fights because he kills everybody on earth as the firs thing. No waiting for combat, no ultimatums. As soon as he reached that form, he straight destroyed earth. No ship off planet, blew that up with everythin else on the planet. Even blew himself apart doing it. When he reformed he proceeded to keep the fight going in the afterlife. Buu would have transformed and ate that guy even if he’d had all the candy left just to have another piece of it.
@Danganraptor I dunno about that. Absorbtion makes Buu stronger but I feel like eating people(unless he absorbs them afterwards like Good Buu) doesn't do anything powerwise he just likes candy
Krillin confronting the waiter is my favorite scene. You get reminded of the fact he's still unbelievably powerful. I mean he punched the table, but could have easily touched it with a finger to snap it, or flick it into orbit.
Except the Z-Fighters he is the most powerful person on Earth!

Krillen is the weakest of the strongest, and even Yamcha could still fight an all actual countries army and win.

Don't know if y'all caught it, but in Shortz #3(Krillin & 18's date) you can see Roshi wearing a wig sitting at the table behind 18. It's a callback to a disguise he used in OG Dragonball(Jackie Chun), and also having the fun thought of Roshi keeping an eye out for his student.

If I recall the Bear Cruise was because Goku's appetite used so much of the Ox King's money and he also killed the bears around the area, so with him gone the Ox King and bears are celebrating the peace and quiet.

Love 18 in these, threatening the waiter for trying to hit on her in front of Krillin, getting Vegeta back for that C**t line back then, and even being there for Krillin supporting Yamcha despite the look on her face clearly not wanting to be there.
And yeah the guy said he was out of candy in front of Kid Buu was wrong, Kid Buu turned him into candy 🍫

23:00 oh I just noticed Cells Halloween version has his eggshell as Basket.
All these shorts are so much fun, but if I had to pick a favorite, I think it's the one for Krillin and 18. "Two and a Half Saiyans" *definitely* made me laugh the hardest, but "Android Date-teen" is remarkably wholesome, and it's nice to see more of 18's humanity as well as Krillin getting a dub (which I'm sure you guys have noticed is rare for most of the human characters in DBZ). It absolutely sells the idea that those two work well together!
All of them are really good. TFS are very good at writing regardless of the animation medium.

The cat guy is called beerus he is the god of destruction and he could wipe out entire galaxies effortlessly and kill people by uttering a single word he is also a major foodie and takes his food seriously to the point that he will blow up planets if the food sucks so the mound bar joke is on brand for him.
Goten basically does look like a miniture version of Goku. Also since Gohan is suppose to be the older son that goes to college and things, Chi-Chi actually trains Goten to be a fighter instead of scholar.

The Halloween outfits are little character models from the game FighterZ, that’s why only a very few amount of characters got a spot in that last one, still super awesome that y’all got to see a little more of Beerus and Buu

I've really come to enjoy your _unbridled joy_ at anything TFS-related, after sticking out the first DBZA reactions of yours I'd found, hoping you'd _see_ something in the series.
Not to get _too_ personal, but after suffering a loss in the family, there's just been something therapeutic about something I love slowly growing on someone who reminds me so heavily of somebody I've lost.

That was a surprising amount of plot and character development on the Vegeta tries to get a fight episode.
It is also peak Piccolo smart ass. Glad he finally found a sayain smart enough to not waste his mean intelligence on.

1. The implication that Vegeta's father just dumped Vegeta on Nappa and he stumbled through raising him is both really funny and really sad
2. Goten and Gohan were originally supposed to take the torch from Goku as protagonists, unfortunately that didn't pan out due to how popular Goku was
3. A nice reminder that Krillin, despite just being a human is still strong enough to blow up the planet.
4. Yamcha is canonically a baseball player and is the second richest member of the main cast, right behind Bulma of course. Its a shame how the main series phased him out, but its cool that he's set for life both in the original and even more so in the abridged
5. Gohan actually has more natural talent than both Vegeta and Goku *combined* , but because he's just not interested in fighting it makes sense that he would get rusty or not train when the world's not in danger.
Also, Vegeta being desperate for someone to fight an compete against shows just how lost he is without the chase to reach and surpass Goku, at least at this point in the series
6. The last 2 characters were Beerus(the cat) a literal god of destruction and Kid Buu (keto kirby) who is basically a primordial force of nature who's only goal is to kill anything that he comes across just for the laughs.
2. Not true. Bullshit rumor. Gohan was by far the most popular at the time. Toriyama just decided himself to bring Goku back

My favorite was Krillin and 18's date; those two are a great couple in DBZA.
Just mentioning it, keto kirby at the end has the ability to transform things into candy... so, that guy wasn't out of candy.

I know you're going through Hellsing Abridged and more than likely the Home For Infinite Losers skits, but I highly, HIGHLY recommend also reacting to TFS' Unabridged series. There are only a handful of episodes, but it gives the majority of TFS cast a bit of camera time.
Also, Piccolo "talking to himself" was the outside perspective of him talking to Nail and Kami. However, the biggest reason is that the voice actor for Nail (HBI2K) had a falling out with the crew. So rather than recast for a simple line, they just made the joke from someone else hearing Piccolo talk to himself.

I can't remember the known details (as TFS were vague about it and Ben didn't say much), but what's known is Ben wanted to touch on topics and take the branding to a different direct that the other TFS folks didn't. So, he basically stepped down as CEO and gave up his part of the company.
He's currently running his own twitch, but he's not very active. He's also written his own children's book.
The fact that TFS Yamcha owns the Hetap beverage corporation means he's probably the wealthiest man in the world

Speaking of Beerus (The one with the jack-o-lantern mask that threatened to wipe out humanity if he found a Mound bar in his basket), TFS also did some abridged side-shorts of some DBZ Super scenes. One with Wis, Beerus and Goku going back and forth about pineapple pizza, Another about rival's consoling with Goku and Vegeta and the last one where Vegeta meets...other Future Trunks. Remember: Multiverse theory is a bitch!

Since he’s so often the buttmonkey, it’s easy to forget that Krillin is like the 4th strongest person on the planet at this point, and could literally kill that waiter by yelling at him if he really wanted to.
Oh i didn't know the Happy Halloween one..that was super cute, specially "The egyptian cat guy which we don't know" yet.. hehe oh you will. He is awesome. The God of Destruction of Goku's Universe (Universe 7... 7 Dragonballs ha ha ) is based on a cat Akira Toriyama once had. Doctors always told him he won't survive much long, but he always cames back and made it up to 13 years i guess.
So it is pretty honorable to made him the most highest entity in his own Universe.
Aww. Not a huge fan of cats but love that story and that the cat lasted so long! Had a foster dog that was told when we took him in he wouldn’t last a month. He lived to be 15 🥲

It was left out of DBZA, Vegeta reflected on Goku's last moments in the original show and decided he'd never fight again. Goku was his main motivation to get stronger and now that he's gone he lost his drive. He thought what's the point anymore now that he's not around. Vegeta would still train but not nearly as hard as he did when Goku was around.

It's iffy. He says something like "Perhaps I should be Adam" but if I remember right the narrative never calls him that. But it's easy to assume he would think of himself that way.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yeah especially in the manga and the clips are just compilations of real funny shorts also if you're jumping to super the first 2 arcs are also told through movies but in the anime there are some episodes that are in between those 2 arcs that links them together

Krillin and 18's is the best one. People seem to forget that Krillin is one of, if not THE, strongest human in the DB-verse.
Of course Gohan would be the one help deliver Goten 🫤😅🤣
Krillin and 18's short is still my favorite. 18's VA killing it as always, and Krillin may be one of the weakest Z fighters but he's still stronger than any other human on Earth.

I'm looking forward to you 2 watching kai and meeting Goten and kid Trunks. Both kids are among my top 10 favorite characters even if they never really got much development until the Super Hero movie.
