Harley Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather Air Cleaner Install

- Inhale a Deep Breath of Fresh Air and Exhale Increased Power and Torque. This Heavy Breather Air Cleaner features a forward-facing oiled cotton filter element that flows large volumes of clean air into the engine. The short, low-profile cast tube rams the charge directly into the throttle body with little turbulence for increased power and torque, and the intake tube mounts to a custom back plate that features integral breathers and covers the throttle body and electronics for a finished look. Available in your choice of chrome or gloss black finish.
Fits '17-later Touring and Trike models. ECE compliant on '17-later CVO Touring, and 107CI Twin-Cooled models. Does not fit with Fairing Lower Speakers. All models require ECM calibration with Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner for proper installation.

Hey! Thank You. I think any external breather modification is better than none. You definitely want to keep that nasty hot deoxygenated oil from getting recycled back through the intake. The only thing that worries me, is tapping those breathers holes where the oil passes through, and putting grub screws. I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard of them deteriorating after time and possibly getting sucked into the engine. No bueno. Hope this helps!
@@RAIDERWORLD Great video - I did not notice a rubber vent line going back into the intake like you had removed on the other air clearner. Does the heavy breather remove that function so that an external breather mod is not required?
@@chadwickcarter This heavy breather stills recycles any blow-by through the intake. The 2 bolts have holes instead of tubes that vent through the small passageways back to the intake

Question….Does adding the breather require a tune? I have TBR Slip Ons. Some say yes some say no.
I would always apply a tune when adding more air and exhaust 👍🏽

Also, is a tunner needed for the bike to run correctly with this installed?
You can check J&P Cycles. This is where I purchase my gasket and O-Ring replacements. I would get it tuned. Your sucking in more air with this intake

Wow...I just replaced mine off my 2022 ST for something else.
I’ll probably be replacing this one too. Not a bad air cleaner, but going with a different look
