Don’t worry buddy I had something similar happen to my last December after buying a really good 07’ CBR1000RR from the Original owner, few weeks into having it, the bike leaked oil all on the freeway and locked up the engine, I had to push my bike off the freeway and all the way home (5-6 blocks thank god lol) now I’m on eBay looking at replacement motors because it’s a easy swap 🤞

If you blew the ECU, you have much bigger issues. I’m gonna bet you have nearly every electrical dodad you can on it. That is a problem, the 929/954 only had 5 extra amps in the stator, not even enough to run a cell phone charger.
This was a weak spot, I did tell you that OEM is the only way to go.
Get on the net and call people like Yoyodyne and Sigma, see if they have any of the upgraded racing parts left or can they make you one…..not cheap. Pull the pan, inspect the gears. Replace everything and anything that has a nick or scratch.

Buy parts as they show up, you will end up with another bike minus the frame usually. I had 27 large boxes of usable parts when mine was “retired”
I have 6 boxes currently for the R1……
If it`s just the clutch it`s not a big deal.

For sale? Pretty sure this is my buddy’s old bike. He bought it off the showroom floor. He’s missed it since he had to sell it. Think it’d be killer if I could buy it from you and surprise him after I put a new engine in or rebuilt that one.
Damn no symptoms?? The Cutting off when clutch pulled almost sounded like it was low on oil.. just a little valve Tic but not bad.. How many miles when she went down?

@@HigherRPMs Yes You Continued to To Try & Start it After it Already went down. When it made that Thud and shut off.. you should have Stopped there.. Honestly it shutting off when it went to idle was your first warning… Then it went boom. You still tried starting it.. it might have been saved if you had just shut it off and left it for inspection.. but it’s said and done with now.. so rebuild it is..
@@jessefpv9217 continued to try and start it and continuing to ride it are 2 different things . by the time i was trying to start it back up the clutch was already broken and the bike was not ridable . meaning it broke before i "tried to ride it again" , not because i tried to ride it again . did you watch the video at all and see and hear when the clutch broke ? I was riding when it went "boom" . there is always a replay button
