  • The catastrophic Australian bushfires that started in September 2019, have killed at least 26 people, destroyed more than 2,000 homes and scorched some eight million hectares (80,000 square kilometres) -- an area the size of Ireland. University of Sydney scientists estimate one billion mammals, birds and reptiles have been killed in the fires. The severe conditions have been fuelled by a prolonged drought and worsened by climate change, with experts warning that such massive blazes were becoming more frequent and intense. Australia experienced its driest and hottest year on record in 2019, with its highest average maximum temperature of 41.9 degrees Celsius recorded in mid-December.

Massive fires like this can be put out in a couple minutes, but it doesnt mean they wont come back later if environmental changes are not dealt with. What kind of budget are you working with? Shortwave blasts targeting oxygen depletion, with no harm to land or structures is possible which gives firefighters a significant advantage instead of using water. Were not talking tnt from the 1800s used to close up oil drilling fires. I can put my other projects on hold to help you. If your budget is too cheap, then at the very least a pressurized fluid can be contained in a number of 55 gall drums and dropped at strategic points but these would cause land damage. Fruity Pavlova I've been posting and asking the same thing on other forums. But the real answer is that these white Europeans of convict ancestry does not care for the original people; as they did not when they killed and destroyed most of the Aboriginals.
The Karma is upon white Australia. The real story is out there in the bush; seeing how the Aborigine people live through all of this.

@@fruitypavlova9714 aboriginals aren't put separate to white people like in a lot of countries, in Australia we all live together so when they report it's about all of us. There are some places where their population is more dense but that is more towards the north of Australia (where the fires aren't). Its hard to explain the dynamic without living in it. A lot of other countries assume we are racist in parliament and society and I understand why they would think that but trust me for the most part we aren't and if we are it's for a laugh and banter. Yes in the past they were treated extremely poorly but now I would love to be aboriginal in Australia that's how well it is. It probably hard to get this cause I'm not very good at explaining and obviously there is stuff that suggests otherwise but as said above it's hard to understand without living here. Also I wasnt meaning to be rude in my initial comment I st sometimes get frustrated a little when its assumed the aboriginal people are neglected. Idk I hope I made some sense haha lol ❤

@@ade6219 Thank you for that reply, it's nice to have someone reply in a civilised manner, quite often people just assume someone is being rude when in fact it's just a genuine question.
I watched a documentary not long ago about certain Aboriginal communities with very high suicide rates, Alcohol abuse and poverty, Their didn't appear to be any European people living among them so I guess I was refuring to those communities.
I'm from NZ so we often hear alot of horror stories about how Aborigines get treated, but it makes sense if those communities are in the North away from fires for there not to be any news coverage regarding them.
