Great to see the Shankeran bakery. Great place S.M.Street
Kripal, the sound & word "zha" is produced when the sound & word " la" is pronounced when your tongue does not touch your upper or lower palatte ( or jaws )....Its a "unique" word / sound found only in 2 languages in the world namely "Tamil and Malayalam"...In fact Tamil is actually pronounced as "Thamizh"...The "Tamil" pronun is an anglacised version of the same...Besides in Kerala cities like Kozhikode, Alappuzha ( Aleppey ) are pronounced that way...
Marathi and konkani also have that sound :)
Telugu and Kannada also had that sound up until 13th century. Lot of languages in the world still uses the sound knowingly or unknowingly. The word Car in American English is pronounced almost as "Koaazh"
Marathi has the word too, कळला का?
Correctly explained Vinod ji ...
Good item nature recipy in prosess all
The different halwa colors😮😮😮
Thanks. Will visit sir
Your fabulous.....I think you should & YOU can think of Acting in films ALSO....
You seem to be Talented.
ALL THE VERY BEST Wishes
Omg really I just want to eat all the halwa
Awesomeness 😀
Chef Arun Nair is at serious health risk. Shed at least 75 kg, sir.
Well... mr. kripal...as I know personally this is not the authentic calicut halwa, its not made by corn starch.itis made by all-purpose flour mixed in water fully, then next day by removing the sediment they take only the milky stuff for making falwa that too with double amount of coconut oil and sugar. That is the OG halwa 🔥🔥🔥
We got to buy once
❤ from Vengeri, Kozhikode

Gloves please!! Also mechanizing it would be helpful
kripal ji, there is a long due to visit ancient city of Madurai.
'Kozhi' of Kozhikode means hen in Malayalam just like what 'Koli' means in Kannada
Oh. Wow. So much similarities in language
According to many sources, the name Kozhikode is derived from Koyil-kota (fort), meaning fortified palace. The name also got corrupted into Kolikod, or its Arab version Qāliqūṭ and later its anglicized version Calicut.
@@rajrey7 oh, I didn't know that

I want halwa kg how much cost
Is the wheat halwa the same like the famous Tirunelveli halwa?
not at all , having tasted both.I feel Tirunelveli halwa is more gooyey and flexible has less cashews etc. Being a malayali, I am partial to Calicut halwa
Even though tasty, it is that color that make me scary.
Can anyone tell me where in calicut can one get best nonveg and seafood ...besides paragon
Mgrill restaurant,focus mall, Calicut

Challai
These halwa have a lot of resemblance with Omani halwas.
halwa de do
👆👆👆👆👆👆👆👆👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
As tasty these halwas would be (and i am not contesting the taste.. i am sure it's well worth it).. one should avoid anything that has cornstarch or cornflour as a binder or base in it specially halwas. If you ever care to search on CZcams itself what cornflour/starch does to the insides of your body after ingestion, you will never touch anything with this in it. Even in north a very famous halwa called karachi halwa is sold but i never allow it to be consumed in my family after realizing how cornstarch in it ruins your intestines..!!
Half of Punjab and Haryana consumes makke ki roti aka cornflour bread but here you're telling all of us that how bad it is. You know not every thing shown in the web is true...
@@abyyy490 this is problem with you people. You live with your preconceived notions of a distorted reality & then pretend to be proud of your uninformed opinions. IF YOU THINK CORN FLOUR & CORN MEAL (MAKKE KA ATTA IN NORTH) IS THE SAME THING THEN UR JUST EMBARRASSING YOURSELF. If u really wanna go regional in comparison then 1st learn to travel outside ur Utopia u beat ur chest upon mate..!!
Here's some knowledgeable facts that will help u get rid of ur embarrassing ignorance..
Cornmeal(makki ka atta) is a coarse flour made by grinding whole DRIED corn kernels. IN NORTH mostly yellow cornmeal is used made from yellow corn. Makki flour is a fibrous flour that helps in regulating blood sugar. A high fibre diet ensures that sugar is released slowly into the bloodstream, which further prevents an insulin spike. The high fibre content of maize flour can also aid digestion and keep your gut healthy. Plus it's gluten free with healthy starch because of rich fibre content. It's also beneficial as it contains B-complex vitamins that can keep sluggishness at bay. It is also good for your skin, hair, heart, brain and digestion. Makki roti is a good source of Vitamin A, C, K, beta-carotene and selenium
Cornflour is a refined carb, which means that because of its processing, it has been stripped of its nutrients. Cornflour can spike your blood sugar levels. It's packed with carbohydrates & has high glycemic index. Plus has much less fibre compared to corn meal(makki ka atta) & delays sugar absorption in bloodstream. It has negative impact on health if consumed regularly.
So you should know clearly that corn flour is not makke ka atta as that atta is very coarse ground and corn flour is obtained from the endosperm of the corn kernel where as makke ka atta is the whole kernel which is fibre & nutrients rich version of whole corn. Further processing gives u cornstarch that is removing the protein and fibre of the corn kernel to leave behind the starchy centre, which is known as endosperm. This is then refined further into a white powder which we know to be cornstarch after soaking & removing the endosperm (last nutrient layer of corn).
Hope you're clear what is what.. just like whole-wheat is NOT wheat flour(maida).. corn meal is even more further away from corn flour. If u want practical knowledge travel to punjab. We'll teach u further. Now go and spread awareness about this in ur state...!!
@@abyyy490 Punjabis that work dawn to dusk in fields could eat that in limited quantity. That quantity of sugar and other ingredients for a sedentary person is questionable.
Eat to live, not live to eat. Everything will be fine, if not...
Hard work increase his salary
Hello super nice look aluva
like 111
Unhealthy one made ouy of cornflour which is difficult for stomach to digest and intestine to flush out
I'm in for a tasty education.
I hate the term "sweetmeats" for Sweets. We should correct such foreign imposed names which make no sense.
