i still find it hard to believe that most people think america is the best team in mexico when in the last 25 years pachuca has won the most cups by far with 16 to americas 11 sure america has more total cups but thats from being in the 1st division for 50+ more years then pachuca.

Word came out that 20 Columbus Crew players and staffers were suffering from Food Poisoning. They had a meeting with the coach before the match on whether or not to forfeit. Add in the 8000 feet elevation, it’s no wonder that Columbus didn’t look good. That said, Pachuca came out and got the job done. Congrats to them. I was one of the few Columbus fans there

It was the situation that both teams were in, and the result bore itself out. But illness, elevation, playing on the road, the pressure of a championship, all can affect a team. I was simply stating that there was an unusual factor on why Columbus didn’t look like the same team that knocked out Tigres and Monterrey. You gotta show up to win a Championship and Columbus did not.
