  • Pork Monggo is a stewed mung bean dish with pork and lots of healthy vegetables. Malunggay leaves and spinach were used in this recipe, but more greeen leafy vegetables can be added according to your preference. My suggestion is to also add alugbati (malabar nightshade) and dahon ng ampalaya (bitter gourd leaves), if available.
    This is a simple yet delicious Filipino dish that can be prepared for ether lunch or dinner. It is best enjoyed with white rice.

    mali po kau.dpt ginisa mo sa patis yong karne para malasa po..tas dpt palambotin muna ang monggo tsaka ilalagay yong nagisa..

      Juan Tamad parehas tayo, mas gusto ko pinapalambot muna ang mongo, at yun din turo ng mommy ko sakin, isama sa gisa ang patis :-) mas malasa. Pag pinalambot muna kasi ang mongo di ka na magdadagdag ng magdadagdag ng tubig, nakakawala kasi ng lasa yun.

      I agree with your method. That is exactly how I cook it. Minsan pa nga nilalagyan ko ng hibe (dried shrimp) and I don't use salt anymore. Never ako gumagamit ng Knorr cubes when I cook.

      naitakda na ba sa kasulatan na kailangan igisa ang karne sa patis? ako baliktad magluto... wala naman reklamo mga pinapakain ko.
