Why LET 3 and Croatia will win Eurovision 2023 with Mama ŠČ! and why they might not - PRO/CONTRA

This time I am listing all the arguments why Let3 and Croatia will and will not win Eurovision 2023. Have I missed any arguments? Let me know in the comments!

I love this song so much. I know it won't win, but in my heart, they do and that's enough for me.
That is OK! But, you must understand this song too. And is not just about a language. Song got message between text lines. You must listen the song, understand words and think about sense of that song. We, in Croatia and on the Balcan, can do that easier than other parts of Europa. Especially, out of the slavic language areas. Because, our language is similar like many slavic languages. And mentallity too.
I love Croatia this year, love the message of the song and I'm absolutely here for this unique rock-opera vibe, usually you won't hear something like this in Eurovision. I really appreciate that they dare to be different, and in a good way in my opinion. I hope so much that they'll qualify.

It is not just ordinary song! Dig deeper about sense of this performance. That people who created and perform this song are very inteligent and experienced people. LET 3 is a band who perform every song with message and sense. Who dont know that is a blind person. Use that information for understand that song before final performance - this evening.
The winning would be a wild dream (albeit a great one). Please, just let us qualify first! The first semi is a bloodbath! 🤩
If that song win, it will be two good things for Europa: first, Europa will understand the messages of that performance; second, it will be good even for Eurovision, because performances on this show needs a new push for become better festival of european culture, entertainment and mental changes. We need changes on Eurosong in better way than today. Because, before Let 3 and Mama ŠČ Eurosong was become a boring show of freak festival. I hope we will watch soon radical changes on Eurovision and that festival in the future.

Let 3 will make history regardless the outcome of the competition. I believe they will qualify in the end and possibly will reach top 15 if not more. I am a great fan they are totally outsider in this competition but they deserve their spot in the sun I applaude their bravery
I just watched the finnish broadcaster's tv show where they rank esc songs from the 1st semi and its big5/6 voters, and since the croatian results were super interesting I thought I'd share.
Azerbaijan was one of the host's favourites but at the same time the most disliked song by the audience. If there were juries in the semi finnish jury would definitely give points to Azerbaijan.
Other host favourites were Israel and Sweden, while they got pretty mediocre/just good scores from the audience. I can totally see finnish jury giving decent points to Israel while the televoters give nothing.
France and Czechia were the overwhelming favourites of the audience, and also praised by the hosts. Moldova and Norway were also audience favourites, but good/mediocre with juries.
The hosts disliked Latvia, Ireland and surprisingly Italy A LOT. Italy was however moderately liked by the audience.
Croatia on the other hand... They were loved by both the hosts and the audience. This is what I've been saying all along. Croatia will be top 3 finnish televote in the semi, and the juries are likely to give them points too in GF. People here really do understand the message and it hits hard home, and even if not, they will vote for the craziness. After all, look at what we sent to Esc in 2015.
Croatia will be at least left side of the scoreboard in the GF.
What was the name of the show? Can I find it somewhere?

@@eurovisionhistories I'm probably as old as you. I remember watching Neka mi ne svane as a child, and it's still my favorite. In the last couple of years, I'm a fan of Lighthouse, Tick-Tock, and now, Mama ŠČ. I'm honestly not someone who wants his country to do well every year (for example, The Dream is in my bottom 5 of 2019), but Albina should have qualified, and now, Let 3 should too.

@@Lolamy007 Ovoga puta Hrvatska bi trebala pobijediti. Stvar Let-a 3 jako vole ljudi na Balkanu, ali i stranci. Znam Engleski jezik i tri sam mjeseca pratio što misle o Mama ŠČ. Kada su shvatili značenje pjesme i čuli tko su momci iz Rijeke zaljubili su se u pjesmu i performans Letovaca. Mislim da bismo mogli slijedeću Euroviziju imati u Zagrebu. Ako nas žiri ne satre?! Ali, valjda nisu toliko glupi, jer stvar je remek djelo. Bar po meni!

I wouldn't be shocked if Moldova in particular gives them more than 7 points (from both juries and tele) since they also send quirky songs and they're kind of at odds with Russia (probably an understatement) and they want to be part of the EU (plus there's the whole Transnistria situation) so I can see them having a connection to this song.
Also like you mentioned, there are Balkan/former Yugoslav diasporas in countries in semi 1 including Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and France (plus ROTW) that may or may not show out in votes which is something I hope people consider.
Song of Moldova got also a good message. But croatian song is directly to the target this year. I think Moldova got also chance for win. But, we will see who will win. People in Moldova also understand excellent the message of Mamma ŠČ. Good luck to Moldova and I hope that Moldova will choose the song what is better for Eurosong in our present time.

That was a great analysis! I loved the ŠČs coming out of their hands in the rehearsal, though the second voice at the end was... too much.
I hope they do well. The words of their song are dumb, as is the war, but the message is clear and assertive.
Not agree! Words are not dumb! Words helping for send an antiwar message and message is very clear. We need that song for radical changes for Eurovision. Because, last years, Eurosong become stupid and boring festival full of weard freaks who didnt got any good performance or message. Mamma ŠČ is a gold for Eurosong in the future.
I love this analysis! I think that Let 3 achieved what they aimed for by stirring up major interest and enticing analysis of the song and its chances. It would be amazing if they got points from many unexpected juries (eg. Spain or Finland), it would stir up even more conversation about the music taste across Europe 😎
Pjesma ima, kako mi kažemo u Istri, šuga. Ima i dobru i iskusnu izvedbu, te vrlo duboku poruku, koja ako dopre do publike može pobijediti. Stvar može uprskati jedino žiri. koji može glasati kontra pjesme i promjena na Euroviziji. A one će se sigurno desiti ako Letovci pobijede. I slijedeću Euroviziju ćemo imati na brdovitom Balkanu. Nadam se da hoćemo, a nadaj se i ti jer mislim da se ova stvar mnogima sviđa. Pozdrav!
Croatia's Mama ŠČ is IQ test for Europe

That song is more important for Eurovision and Europa than you think about that. And not just you, because You are not alone in your opinion. Sorry, but that is just my opinion.

Unfortunately, Europa is separated, even after 30 years, with Iron wall: West who think it is secure and rich place for living and East who still remember comunism, wars and unstable situations during very painfull history of the continent.WE Will see soon how 500 millions of european people respond on that anti war and anti dictatorship relations. Since they will only count televotes for the semis, Let 3 has a better chance to qualify for the final cuz jury will definitely not vote on it

Croatia is a small Balkan country. People have the wrong idea about it. Eurovision is politics and the "stronger" countries win here. It is seen every year. Plus, countries that are not in Europe or that have direct entry regardless of placement are competing. Not right. We are all equal, but some are more equal...
Let 3 performed in my home town. After the main square full-on naked performance, in front of the city hall
they were arrested.
They were charged for being naked, but won in court because they had wooden corks in their butts, so,

Croatia gives me Ukraine 2007 vibes. I know these are different times, but Mama ŠČ sends message and under all this silly show there's deeper meaning. I see no reason why they wouldn't win.
Well Ukraine didn't win in 2007 and back then there were no juries.

@@tomislavukraden4151 Kada bi samo glasali ljudi, bez glupog žirija, bolje bismo prošli. Oni su imali zajednički dogovor, neke standarde i stereotipe, koji nemaju veze s ljudima koji vole pjesme i Euroviziju. Žirije bi trebalo ukinuti. To je moj stav. Nažalost, ove godine to nas je koštalo.
@@DaliborPerkovic-sw8mh Pa napisao sam da smo prema glasovima publike osvojili šesto mjesto. A žiri je nekako sumnjivo sve što nije pop muzika ostavio bez ili sa par glasova; npr. Njemački metal zadnji, Hrvatski punk-rock predzadnji.
