Have this since 6 months, I love it. I have "beaten it like a dirt bike" and it is very impressive as a scrambler, especially on the very impressive Pirelli Scorpion rally str tires which are the same as on the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled. Feels more powerful than the 43 bhp suggests, thanks to the 150KG weight. Seat is high but is very slim and light so easy to manage as long as you are at least 5.7". I am 5.9". Stock Exhaust sound one of the best for such a tiny engine. I got the Rekluse seminautomatic clutch installed and it is a very good investment, especially for offroad. Brakes (pronounced ByeBree) are very good with great feel with Bosch 9M+ ABS with rear wheel lift mitigation. Kinda versatile, slick cafe racer looka, good commuter with great filtering ability and still relatively entertaining in the canyons. I just did a tubeless conversion (3M Tape method) and so far all good. While a fantastic starter bike, it's tons of fun for experienced riders too. My other bikes are Triumph Tiger 1200 and Moto Guzzi V85 TT.

What I loved about this bike is that it has the six speed gearbox you wouldn't expect in that size of bike. But it lets you keep that low end and still be able to get on the freeway without hating your life.
That seat, though... first thing I would do is dremel the seat pan down where my thighs sit, so I could easily flatfoot it and actually grip the bloody tank! For me there's no point in riding a zippy little urban racer if I can't hold on with my legs in the corners. Stupid oversight, that seat!

I see your comment is a few months old so not sure what you decided on, but I've found that I can grip the tank with my legs just fine. I'm almost 6' and at first I thought I'd be sitting farther back on the seat like InvictvsNox did - and was for a bit - but after a few months I've found that it's both easier to control the bike and offers better support for your wrists/arms by scootching up and hugging the tank. Plus you get a slightly better view out of those sh*tty mirrors the if you're more upright.

I have and apart from ALSO being a good looking bike with more power, I don't see advantages of paying double the money. It's a flat tracker style bike with less offroad tyres thereby making it less versatile. It does have a very basic traction control but it's probably needed as the power to weight ratio is a lot. It has lower ground clearance and ABS I believe can not be switched off. If money is not an issue AND you will not take the bike offroad, yes, the 701 is a pretty good option, but mainly due to it's unique looks, especially if you consider the "style" version of the Svartpilen 701.

Husqvarna lists it at $4999. Wayne’s is the closest dealer to me but I’m not paying that price, looks like I can go to the next dealers to the north or south and they have them for msrp.

Very beautiful and interesting bike but sooo uncomfortable! I shopped this against the duke 390 (same drivetrain) and it is night and day difference.

Yes, it's definitely a form over function sorta thing. But I loved it and I'm a sucker for the looks. Both bikes have their time and place.
